4. indoctrination means bioware sold me a incomplete game
5. indoctrination theory punishes stupid people who dont pay attention..... very bad.
6. there is SO much more evidence AGAISNT indoctrination that I just cant believe it.

After a highly annoying conversation with my mother, she went on about the significance being the "feeling" it gives you, and what the colors red and blue mean.
We already know what the colors red and blue mean. They have a very specific meaning within the context of ME's storyline. Did you explain that? I think this is more about what it means to have abstract paintings within a dream, rather than trying to figure out what the heck the paintings themselves mean. I think that would just be impossible.

By the way, if you havent already, read Bill Casey's post that was quoted on the previous page. It is an excellent read!
I just read it! It was awesome!
Who was the poster who theorized that the MP DLC would 'lead up' to the SP EC? That certainly seems to have bourne itself out- hopefully after the 'Earth' MP DLC is released that means the next release will be the EC!
Oh, that was just Arian, being his usual awesome self.

LOL, that's a good one. It's nothing like that, though, it's just that I had said yesterday that I was going to take a break from posting to hopefully get some work done on other things, but I see now that that will be impossible. You guys are just too awesome for me to stay away.
Thanks.
If you need to get some work done, though, dont let us stop you. We'll try not to have any groundbreaking discoveries while you're away...
Ok, I'm lying through my teeth with that one, but still... <_<
I'll just have to figure out a way to balance work and theorizing. My self-control needs some work. Heck, now that I've admitted that to others, maybe I'll be able to improve. What's was the line from Dead Space 2? Step four, acceptance? Granted, that came from the bat**** crazy part of Isaac's mind, but still.

Edit: OK, I just ran a Google search for the meaning of abstract paintings in dreams. I got this about paintings in dreams in general, "To
see a painting in your dream represents creativity and your need for
self-expression. The painting is symbolic of your intuition and inner
realizations." Now, I got this from a website called dreammoods.com, so it might not be accurate, but still, if it IS accurate, the intuition thing might fit, maybe.
Hmmm. They may not mean anything, as Earth was undergoing another Renaissance right before the invasion, but if they are expressions of Shepard's emotions... I would recommend color signiture recognition technology.
One can make out the vague image of a Relay and the orange certainly seems similar to Sovereign's holo from ME1.

Graffiti aside, those are all 100% abstract. Does anyone know the meaning of abstract paintings within dreams? If the symbolism fits, it's worth considering as evidence.
I see a lot of red Reaper shapes, oily shadows, blue reapertech
I'm more of an aficionado of literary art rather than paintings, but my understanding is that abstract paintings are always up for.... intepretation.
Hrm, now that I think about it, that may be the point. Presence of abstrant paintings as a message that things are being left up to interpretation? Or to look extra hard for symbolism?
True abstract paintings are generally speaking up for interpretation as far as subject matter goes, some aren't even based in reality, but some abstract paintings are an actual object of some kind just transformed through various thought in an artists mind (or just completely made up). Example, if you had a still life set up with a box and light source but didn't want to paint something so boring you could warp the form of the box into something that looks like two splattered ovals competing for space and color it rainbow, it is now an abstract box.
For these paintings I do see some Reaper-like structures but could just be nothing. One of them actually does look like a Destroyer firing it's beam, but the rest I'm not so sure. The purple ones for some reason remind me of Asari architecture.

I know. That's just going to be my response to any REAL Literalists who ask that question. You know, like Hackett responded to that chick who wanted to have Shepard brought in. Remember his response? "Request denied."

These are images of every painting I could find during the London mission from start to finish. I know of one I missed due to lightning, will try to get it next playthrough.
Painting #1 reminds me of the london mission as a whole. Same deary colors with red representing combat/reapers. that one mark on the right looks a lot like a destroyer.
#2 looks like a burning sky. again possibly representing dreary conflict.
#8 is way too abstract for me. though i guess i can sort of make out a reaper in red maybe.

Quite a few of them are yeah. Cept they look more textured in ME2 (managed to screenshot some of those too), I'm guessing maybe Hock got the "originals" and the copies are just floating around earth. I remember seeing one that looked like Shepard with a sword.

Shared memories.
Maybe they are are not missing after all.
James: Mr. 'Do you hear that hum? Is that just me?'
How is it that he knows about, and auto dialogs with you, on almost every single mission you go on even if you don't take him? If I'm not mistaken, he's the only one that does this and he seems to have more auto dialog than anyone else.
Could it be mission reports? Maybe, but what about the PRIVATE conversation you had with Anderson about Sanders? If you took James, he was not in the room when you talk to Kahlee about it. Shep head nods whoever is there to guard the hall.
I know he's there for first timers, but what if he serves a dual purpose that most might overlook because they either don't like him or don't use him because he's a noob.
Now I'm hunting this.
Thoughts?

I dont like to dismiss theories without an obvious justifiable cause, but this one has a lot going against it right off the bat. It's fairly common in videogames for a lot of things to be a "given", one of which is characters being informed of events behind the scenes so that conversations can get to the heart of the matter quicker. That could very well be what's going on here.

Bill is like the IT equivalent of a ninja. He drops in, says something incredibly profound and well-articulated, then drops a smoke grenade and disappears.
Nah, he's not the IT equivalent of a ninja, he's the IT equivalent of Batman. Of course, Arian is IT's Garrus Vakarian, so everything works out in the end.

But it's all auto-dialog. How can he know anything about the wildlife on Tuchanka when I didn't take him. How can he know about private conversations (that's what got me paying attention.) I'm still going to investigate. Shared memories is really the only thing we've not seen on the Normandy.
Most of the people on the ship may have been less exposed to Reapers and Reaper tech than Shep, but they still have been exposed... and although they may also have strong wills, I'd put them at about 4/5th that of Shepar's at the Max; Garrus and Liara. James is a weak willed toady.

Not trying to discourage your investigation. In fact, I'll keep an eye on it too. Just pointing out that it's going to be a lot harder to build a case for that theory compared to others we've worked on.
