Not sure if you've noticed before, but I mentioned a couple of times that my initial inclination was to dismiss IT out-of-hand because I felt it was unlikely and wishful thinking, rooted in disbelief. It wasnt until I could find no other logical or plausible explanation that did not involve authoring additional lore or drawing unjustifiable conclusions that I looked into IT. IT had the logic, lore, and justifiable conclusions to back it up, so here I am.

I suspect that for many BSN folk, the resulting activity on the forums will be just as big a deal as the content of the EC itself.

That's the thing, IT makes too much sense  Which I've also heard used as an arguement against it

Also, I've had the flu for a week, and have barely been on here, sadly

Yeah, something kinda similar happened to me. I dismissed IT after finishing the game, but then I read that google doc.that was floating around, and it blew my mind. I am still not 100% convinced about all of the specifics of IT, but I am quite confident that the ending is not what it seems.

Essentially, the "it was all a dream" ending does make "too much sense" because it destroys the realism of the universe and characters to which you became attached, leaving you with nothing. Of course a blank page makes too much sense, because there is nothing on it to examine!

Fortunately we already know that is not what Bioware is doing here, so the "too much sense" dismissal shouldnt apply.

Thread 1 and 2 are the only ones I've ever even posted on. Since the feelings of discovery and exhilaration of the early days are mostly gone, and very little new clues have been uncovered, I must say that my interest its starting to really weaken. Bioware needs to get that EC released soon, because I can't be the only one

Well if IT is wrong then o well, plus Jessica said that the Red ending will let Shepard see his crew again, so I am okay with that. Even if the god child is in the EC I will still have the last laugh, or Shepard.

Yeah, if IT carries the day, I hope that our "side" will keep the gloating to a minimum. Frankly, if IT is mostly true, I will be far too busy being happy for ALL Mass Effect fans to bother gloating. Having a great ending when you thought you had a terrible one should ideally be a victory for everyone, not just for those who called it ahead of time.

Me, i've been here for a while!  Admittedly tho I probably believed it too much for my own good at the beginning.

Eh... not really. I finished the game and immediately thought, "That was awesome!". Then I went to bed. It was like 5 am. Yeah.

Then I awoke, and thought about what I had just experienced. Then, I thought, "Actually... that was all quite stupid. It doesn't make any sense! Wtf, Bioware! You just f me over like that!?". And so through my extremely frustrated and betrayed state of mind, I took to the internet searching for answers. Like any emotionally deranged human would after being betrayed by their favorite gaming company.

I searched for any sense that might apply itself to the ending. In my desperate search to find some answer to what I saw, I found the IT. At first I thought, "Huh." That was about it. Then I stumbled upon Acavyos' video, and upon watching that, was pretty amazed. I seriously remember exclaiming, "What?! No way! That is so awesome." after I realized all the clues I completely missed during my playthrough. By the end of the video, I was pretty much convinced. Seriously, kudos to Acavyos for crafting a compelling, and fun to watch video that really nailed all of IT's main points down in a 20 minute nutshell. I thought it was brilliant.

Then I discovered Parabolee's blog. After spending a good 40 to 60 minutes reading its entirety, I was basically convinced right then and there. So, I took to the forums and began engaging in the discussion.

And here I am. 

Then CleverNoob came out with a wonderful documentary which basically confirmed the feelings I already had. 

And I've seen a lot more than just a couple videos and a blog. Including reading much of what went down here, in the original thread. So yeah, I've done my research. And I think if everyone applied the time and dedication to search for answers like I did, there would be MANY more IT believers.

So yeah, my humble origins story.

This post is from 23 days ago and no one shouted that it effectively confirmed post-breath content?? Jessica states that Shepard and the crew can be reunited. There is no other way that this can happen than if Shepard gets up from the rubble.

Yeah, while some IT supporters will undoubtedly be on the forums rubbing it in other's faces, I will be more than happy playing through the trilogy again.

I'm a supporter of IT, but I do have a few questions about IT regarding control and synthesis. When Shepard wakes up after those endings, what happens? Just because the reapers convinced him in his dream that synthesis and control were possible (and why wouldn't shep? He didn't know it was a dream so to him the options were right infront of him) when he wakes up, would shep really be dumb enough to say "d@mm that stuff made sense in that dream, I support de reeperz now for some reason" I understand the reapers will be controlling his mind now but if he's gonna be a TIM like husk, he has to think what he is doing is right, then what would the reapers do to convince turning on his comrades during the final assault be?
