Thanks everyone :) ! Good to see you again!

Well, I just can't get rid of my head-theory, that all of ME3's SP we all replayed multiple times until now is just Shepard either remembering or retelling it to someone (nothing to do with Stargazer). Maybe that's the story he's telling to the judge during the trial.
Because, who says (if existent) the ending DLC that plugs right on our saves won't start the way ME3 started: throw you right into the story like a short story: Whoop, there are we as Shepard, telling (or dreaming) about what we just did to make us end up wehere we ended up. Or a trial because we as an indoctrinated Shepard did something we shouldn't have done, which is what DJBare suggested a few days ago: that we were on the Normandy all along but only thought we were in London.

Okay I've missed more than 500 pages, so asking for a short summary would be too much. I've  heard from Arian about the theory of the Reapers being enslaved by Harbinger (which quite disturbed me).

Could someone breifly explain to me  what is DJBare's Normandy theory ?

Maybe that'll get the speculations going again: twitter.com/GambleMike/status/213780625507880960

...or not.

Sounds like they're getting close to the release of... something.  I'm guessing the EC, but it could be the upcoming MP pack.  Or maybe both.  The SDCC is coming up, and it wouldn't surprise me if they're gearing up to reveal something there.

Ummm SDCC is next month. A month is a looong time. I will be sooo disappointed if they don't give ANY info on the EC before then. Currently I'm dying to get EC, cause I'm losing interest fast and then they can start on different SP DLC. Shep's story is not over YET!!!!

It's like when your grandpa told you a great story and then before the ending came he just stopped/gave you a cliffhanger. You want him to finish the story but the build up makes it better. However he waits too long and the build up/interest starts to go down.... COME ON BIOWARE!!!!!

Rest assured that Bioware is doing it as hard as they can. We'll have it as soon as they can possibly finish it.

Well according to the guy on reddit, the EC is finished. So what are they waiting for? (If it is true)

The
EC is gonna have to be big cause after 3 months you know it will be a
good portion of the game. LOTSB took about 2 1/2, and was biggest one.

Guys, can we get back on topic? I hate having to sift through a bunch of gibbering to get to the actual discussion.

We are the gibberlings three, as merry a band as you ever did see!

We've come to devour Athkatla and find it most palatable though you've nary a sausage to feed us.

Arian, whats up with you? Normally you're a lot more serious. You've been acting off the past few days.

Baldur's Gate reference RIGHT over your head. :?

**** I feel old.

Ah! Theres the Arian I missed!

Anyways, I never played Baldur's Gate, so yeah

How old are you anyways? For some reason I thought you were younger than me, though I dont actually know where I got that idea from.

Doesn't matter how young either of you are, I'm still probably younger.

My body is 19. My mind is stuck in the 80's and 90's, only more like totally cool dude. B)

So I was right! You are younger than me.

I'm 22. Now I feel old.

Welp, if it makes you feel any better, my oldest brother is in his late 30's.

To be fair, I havent actually seen the movie since I was like 10, and I dont plan to see it again, as I feel actually viewing it now would strip away the nostalgia that makes it possible for me to say I enjoyed the Phantom Menace.

Ignorance is bliss in this case, I assure you. Dont look it up.

Well I thought it was a nice song for as silly as it was..

I'm listening to it now. It is an objectively bad song. Its not even so bad its good. But for some reason I do kind of enjoy the song.

Then again, I liked Jar Jar Binks too, so maybe I'm just a masochist

It's a horrible song, but for some reason, I occasionally listen to it.  Also, I didn't mind Jar Jar.  On the matter of the song, have you ever heard Conan O'Brien's spoof of it?  It's brilliant.

Edit: Byne, I should point out that you're not a masochist until you have both played Halo: Reach on Legendary and played Dead Space 2 on Hardcore.  That, or you could just try playing I Wanna Be The Guy.

Okay, that does make sense I guess.  I was like 16 or 17 when episode 1 came out, so my reaction to Jar Jar Binks would probably have been different if I had been 10 when I saw it.

Has anyone found it weird that you can't save during Priority Earth? Or maybe my Xbox just sucks...

Also could anyone get the quote of the letter of the guy suffering from indoctrination on Priority Earth? The one where he notes the people go someplace and are missing.

Did you ever see the one Rooster Teeth made back when the Rapture was supposed to happen on May 21st, 2011?

As for Halo: Reach, I got the achievement for soloing legendary. I thousand pointed that game before they added more achievements.

Reach was actually the first Halo game I ever did a legendary run of. Is its legendary harder than other Halo games?

Hey guys, my brother recently imformed me that he's able to travel to Chronos Station on the galaxy map before he's supposed to know where it is. Posted Image He hasn't even done Horizon yet this playthrough, and CS is there, he can "enter orbit" and everything, there's just no "press A to start mission" (obviously). It's not really IT, but we love glitches and bugs here, so has anyone else heard of this happening?

Heh, I haven't actually FINISHED it, but... YES YES YES YES YES!!!!  I'm not sure which one is harder, Halo: Reach, or Halo 2.

Edit: Also, that spoof was GREAT.  That was a great Rooster Teeth creation.

You can save before blowing the Hades Cannon and before the Thanix mission if I recall it good.

So no one wants to give me a little advice on DJBare's theory ?

**snip**

This may have been brought up before, but I’ve always found that quote in the ‘final hours of mass effect 3’ very fishy. I originally read the app when it first came out which was long before I joined the ITD ranks and even back then I found the quote was deliberately misleading.

Firstly there’s this: “...The gameplay team was still experimenting with an endgame sequence where players would suddenly loose control of Shepard’s movements and fall under full Reaper control...”

So the first thing we can garner from this is that it was intended by BioWare to have Shepard indoctrinated at the end of the game, so the argument that BioWare aren’t clever enough to come up with ITD is false. Anyway, If they did intend to have Shep indoctrinated than there must have been some point in Shepard’s history that lead to his indoctrination, especially if it was full-blown enough so he’d be under complete control. This sentence also alludes to the fact that there are multiple stages of indoctrination by utilizing the adjective “full”.

“...(This sequence was ultimately dropped because the gameplay mechanic proved to troublesome to implement alongside dialogue choices.)...”

Anyone who just glances over this sentence might be lead to believe that it says “The Indoctrination of Shepard was dropped because it was too troublesome to implement” but it doesn’t say anything of the kind. All that sentence says is that the mechanic of having the game suddenly take away control from the player was dropped but not the indoctrination concept. It also says that it was hard to implement along with the dialogue choices, but it never says that the related dialogue choices were ever removed and hence we are still presented them in the game during the end sequence. It also makes more sense not to take away control from the player to make the indoctrination process much more subtle by almost turning it into an alternate-reality game, which is the way it should be... Anyway, my point is that the sentence never once mentions that Shepard being indoctrinated was dropped, just that one physical gameplay component was.

For me this quote was actually what lead me to the ITD forums as it made me suddenly realize that they had intended Shepard to be indoctrinated all along and that they just implemented it into game in other ways other than a physical gameplay mechanics.

As I have said multiple times. If I was DMing a game with something like Indoctrination, I wouldn't waste time with a mechanic, I would go straight for the player.

Bioware is no different.

That's exactly the thought that led me hear in the first place; we've already seen game mechanics were the player character has had there mind and perception altered at some stage before, most noteably Arkham Asylum and City. I feel BioWare's intention would have been to step it up a notch, considering whats more impressive: A new gameplay mechanic and some fancy graphics, or, Pulling the wool over the player eyes and have the player become part of the game in the process?.
