9 - Your Darkest Hour
[Shepard struggles to walk toward the beam or downed cables, his pistol shaking in his hand as he slowly approaches it. Shepard trips over a rock as he walks toward either the beam or the cables. Shepard does a faceplant in the sandy dirt, something bouncing out of an (amazingly) still intact pouch. Urdnot Bakara's crystal. It's nothing more than a crystal with a light source installed, hung on a chain, a simple gift... and yet so much more. Shepard stares at the little light, enraptured, Vigil starts playing, a short flash of all the faces of our friends and companions, Grunt, Joker, Liara, Ashley, Kaiden, Hackett, Anderson, all of them plays by at high speed, superimposed over the image of Shepard staring down at the crystal, the light reflected in his eyes, which are now filled with tears, he crawls over to a pile of rubble, resting his back against a rock. Shepard calmly reaches down to the dropped Carnifex and places the barrel under his chin. Cut to black, gunshot. Go to 13.]

so this may have been picked up earlier so sorry if im repeating old info.
I have recently replayed ME2 and came across this video of the indoctrinated cerberus team
on board the derilict reaper
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.c...player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Specificly interested in what the guy says from 3:40 "that thing, that grey thing, it disapeared when I looked straight at it, it came out of that wall, were we took of that panel"
As soon as I saw this, Shepherd seeing the star child in the air vent came to mind

I knew I had seen it appear in your script, I was just hoping that BioWare could do something as brilliant as this, and hopefully they will.Arian Dynas wrote...

I still prefer "The Guardian" after all, it's not the first time that an enigmatic being named "The Guardian" appeared before a hero acting out of character, offered him an ultimatum which resulted in a huge beam of light that rearranged the way reality works being shot everywhere as the hero was consumed to power this event, leading to the destruction of a franchise EA owned.
(and yes, despite not really being an Ultima fan, I am talking about Ultima IX)

Brother's wedding, and since my laptop is in Huston being repaired, I won't be able to make as many appearances as I usually do for the week, though I don't doubt I can pop in once or twice a day maybe.
Someone want to be nice and volunteer to keep me updated whenever I'm on?

Can't like both?
But yeah, Two Steps From Hell is aptly named.
In fact, their piece, Archangel inspired this;
The skies themselves opened up, like a piece of
cloth being ripped asunder.
Pouring from the very heavens themselves like
rain, a horde that had never been seen in more than 2000 years.
Their figures burned the eyes to behold, some
walked as men, great feathery wings stained with blood and flaming swords held
in their grip. Others were as great wheels of eyes and fire, and others were
nothing more than rays of hard light that shot through the enemy like spears,
tearing them to pieces from the inside.
The very host of heaven itself had come to their
aide.
He watched, stunned as a great angel, taller than
those around him, wielding a sword as long as a man was tall, cleanly
bifurcated an enemy at the waist, his torso catching up with his legs as he
fell, burning to ash before he touched the ground.
Their gazes burned like the sun. It was as though
one could see the wrath of God himself alight in their eyes. Man and Daemon
alike, arrayed on both sides couldn’t bear to look at them. The earth cracked
and dried with their footsteps, it was as though their very presence was a heat
that burned reality.
In the sky above, winged angels dove and swooped
through the enemy forces, grabbing their foes and lifting them high into the
air, only to drop them on the blades of their allies below. It was a savagery
and vengeance that shocked him to his core, it was pure anger and hatred so concentrated
and beyond human understanding, he felt his brain nearly burning as he tried to
understand it.
Now he knew why it was that so few angels could
hold off the legions of hell during their civil war.

But, as I said I do like both, I just prefer to listen to Two Steps from Hell on most occaisions. Lately, if it's not getting me through a day at work, they've been the fuel for getting back into writing certain stories (that I've been neglecting the better half of 3 years) unless I've got a specific soundtrack for a story anyway. My stuffs never been what I call great but I enjoy it and it keeps me sane

Heh I'm about the same, started a story in middle school still havne't finished it. I don't think I'm even half way, mostly keeps getting pushed to the bottom of my to-do list. Then there's at least 3 or 4 more that've been sitting around for years. Kind of troubling really o_O
