I would have thought that, regardless of any actual argument over legality, discussing it on a forum run by the makers of said software using an account which gives them your player account, IP address and email would be not just the brightest idea ever. ;)

This is the same reason that I didn't set up a folder on my FTP for IDT stuff - I'm pretty sure the sharing of game files for speculation purposes is a legal grey area at the very least...

Well to be fair, obviously I would only do it if I determined that it was legal, so them having access to my IP is a moot point.

Over the time here on BSN I must'Ve developed a spidey sense, because reading that last paragraph I imagine hordes of users rageposting "see, BW is lazy, bad writers, etc.".

But of course I agree with you.

To be fair, if the endings are meant to be taken at face value, I would wind up agreeing with them. Since they do think the endings are meant to be taken at face value (rather than 2 sudden, unprecedented, massive thematic contradictions being a hint towards IT), it makes sense for them to draw a conclusion that BW is lazy and they are bad writers.

In other words, failing to see the thematic contradictions as clues is a mistake on their part, but seeing the "Literal endings" as an epic literary collapse/failure is not a mistake.

True, if you're running around with that attitude for a few weeks and then either decide to move on and stop b*tching about that part you hated or look if you might've gotten it wrong.

I went through that and obviously went with the latter. I'm not proud of my initial take on the last 10 min of ME3 but I also admit that I'm a bit slow. But once I read about IT and saw ACAVYOS' vid, I shat bricks. :P

At least we got our brick shatting out of the way early. Many wont experience it until the EC. ;)

I'm starting to believe that the partial or full hallucination between Cronos and London was meant to be the surprise reveal portion of IT. I dont think they were necessarily counting on us to find that. And we may not have, if the EC had come out in early June like many of us thought it would.

Maybe I missed it, but was there an answer or a speculation what could be the room with a lot of transmitters on the wall and ascending stairs (just before you reach TIM's room)?
Could it be that the real indotrination and mind battle began there?
From my playthrough I remember that was the most weird room in all ME3. I stopped and looked around for couple of minutes but didn't find an answer. Would bioware put such a weird room without any use?

I'll likely be recording more footage today. If anyone has anything they want me to record, let me know.

Thats actually what I've been investigating over the past week. :) I've been scouring all of Cronos station looking for clues and general weirdness, and the first examples of weirdness that I can find start right as you get to the proto-reaper. From there, questionable things begin to happen. Nothing concrete, but questionable.  But prior to that, however, I cant find a single thing that seems dubious. So if we're looking to pin down a starting point for the indoctrination/mind battle, I would have to say it starts at the proto-reaper.

Yeah, there are a couple of things where I missed my opportunity to record something, and a couple of things I realized I need to look into that I didnt think about till I was already past it. Plus, I have to disconnect my HDMI and use the component/composite cable for my 360 to hook up the camcorder, so its not normally convenient to record anything unless I'm already set up for it.

Ok, well you know the major view bob you get when you wake up after harby's beam? Your aim is going all over the place. Well it turns out in some playthroughs you end up with a very subtle version of that view bob after you leave the FOB, and we're trying to determine the cause. The only hypothesis we have so far is whether you receive Liara's gift or not, but I think we had someone come forward and say they received the gift and still had the view bob, so I'm not sure. Gonna mess with it a bit more and see.

Nah, still at the recording stage. Havent started putting anything together yet.

Hope you have the footage soon. That Cronos Station anomalies might be a clue that something is going on in there behind the scenes.

E.g. I was thinking that the fact we don't see any signs of battle through the hull breach might be an oversight. But it would be a pretty damn big oversight for a place that happens to be strangely not along the usual path the player takes to reach the final destination (crossing the passage to the Proto-Reaper room). Plus, why the devs "hid" that room?

Well, we already know that when you have an enclosed area, the "map" outside that area is open space with stars. You can determine that by flycamming and clipping through the walls. So that part in and of itself isnt strange. The main question is whether or not the fact that the gash revealing the space/unloaded area is intentional or not. Right now I'm trying to figure out if the "power misdirection" happens at any part earlier in the game, because if it doesnt, thats a pretty strong indicator that it could be intentional.

It seems strange that to get to the room you have to go further down the corridor and then around the computers. Normally, players would enter the Proto-Reaper room first and be blocked from getting back there.

If you're refering to the room on Chronos station just past the last lab room (after the proto reaper) and right before the ramp to TIMs virtual reality chamber, it's an air lock, or at least it looks exactly like the Normandy's airlock without the lights.
