Any thoughts on the Reaper-induced Shepard's Dream Theory (RSDT)? Posted Image

I cant get behind any theory that suggests the entirety of ME3 didnt actually occur, but I would be open to the idea that Shepard experiences increasing amounts of waking hallucinations throughout the game, and that it starts to peak beginning with Cronos. We dont have much evidence to support the idea that there are any hallucinations prior to the Rannoch destroyer, though.

How can you distinguish a dream so immersive that it can become your reality from the actual life you live outside of it? Posted Image

The beam as an indoctrination device has some weight to it. There is no doubt that it affects it's surroundings because it affects the rockets. If the rockets are real then the beam affects it physically. If the rockets aren't then I feel it's your mind warning you that the beam affects it's surroundings. Also the beam IS reaper technology. And so far all working Reaper technology has been proven to indoctrinate. So the scale of the object must also affect the amount of indoctrination and distance.

Right now I'm currently leaning towards neither of those Destroyers actually being... destroyed. They're both taken down with weapons that shouldnt exist, and they go down far too easily. And whats with that "Hit it with everything you've got!" bit to finish off the Destroyer guarding the beam? Didnt they just try hitting it with everything they had and got vaporized for the insolence? Their attacks merely bounced off. And yet because Shepard barks into his omnitool, suddenly a massive barrage of rockets and explosions come out of nowhere to take it down?

If that scene was real, that truly is Bioware being lazy, IMO.

Well the rockets could be new tech that someone got from the reinforcements or in a base on earth. Would make sense to use what ever you could find. The barrage by Shepard could be explained by the fact that Andersons reinforcements showed up with weapons, and cause Shepard says something matters. Of course everyone will listen to Shepard. He is like the leader of the entire force. And who would listen to a squad leader that no one knows. Having contacts matter.

I did. Jacob's woman Brin, is Indoctrinated. You can see it in her datapad message. I'll see if someone has a video of that area and report back.

Oh snap.  Serves that bastard right.

I have theorized that she was using some sort of mind control on Jacob to turn him into her protector.  Those Cerberus scientists that Jacob was protecting were a pretty evil bunch in their own right.

Is she actually indoctrinated?I mean if she was wouldn't she tell the reapers the location of the crucible?
or try to destroy it?

Anyway, to all, feel free to comment on Reaper-induced Shepard's Dream Theory (RSDT).

Details on page 827.

Possible, but unlikely. Why not give the Missiles some actual working lore instead of broken lore, if theyre real?

Believe me, I know. I've induced maybe 30 lucid dreams in my life, and I know how real they feel. ;) But not only would Bioware upset a lot of people by replacing a bad ending with the news that essentially the whole story didnt take place in the physical ME universe, but it really wouldnt be beneficial to the plot from a literary standpoint. It would just be bad writing. :(

You again? Why don't you just continue phantasizingabout how ME women are better than real-life women, or that asian games are better than western games, and then later say the exact opposite?

Not a whole lot, just cracking away looking for waking hallucination evidence.

Okay I remember in a converation with anderson that Shepard comments on how he is surprised that it's only been a few months. And that was towards the end of the game.

I corrected in a post but it got buried already. It's one page back.

Personal Log: Brynn Cole

With Jacob's help, we have managed to ascertain that several of our
colleagues were, in fact, killed. "Contracts terminated" is what
Cerberus called it. Makeda, Scott, Daniel, Chun Hei, Anikka... and so
many others I didn't even know about. All of them gone, disappeared
without a trace. Just like that.

We should have left sooner. I don't know why we waited so long. I can't
remember what seemed so important that we had to stay just one more
day... What was I thinking?

You know... everyone was doing a perfectly good job of ignoring that post until you showed up... Just sayin...  We dont always need someone to leap to the defense of the thread when someone makes an unproductive post. <_<

Maybe...  the monitors in Liara's cabin do.  ...  Seriously, go check it out.  It's creepy.

"Uh-huh.  Don't know about you, but I'm loyal to more than my next paycheck." - Jacob to Thane, saying nothing to FemShep about the fact she's "the other woman."  ...  No seriously, why can't I beat him to death with a tire iron?

If it helps, I can corroborate what he's saying. I dont recall exactly which dialog it takes place in, but I do recall hearing that "few months" line.
