I thought that too, but if he really is, he does not know it.
It seemed odd that he got shot and never had a wound or bled. At all. Save Liara firing up her omni-tool when she got to him, it didn't look like he took any medi-gel either.
In fact, not once did shep ever give anyone any medi-gel in this game.
Jacob never bled either.... Conspiracy?
lol - at least he had a wound and sought medical attention.

Interesting theory; reminds me of the plot device they’re using in the up coming Gears of War:Judgment. The plot mechanic in Gears is that the gameplay sections are being told as evidence in a court hearing against Kilo squad; except that parts of the story could be remembered incorrectly so some details have become obscured and might require multiple play-throughs to find out every detail of what really happened which lead to their trial.paxxton wrote...

Regardless, the point I'm trying to make is that it could be possible that Shepard is reliving distorted versions of the events that led up to his unconscious state and hence why there’s so much surreality in the game, especially towards the end where the most traumatic memories would have happened.

have you ever seen that show called after man or something like that? shows what will happen to all the citys and man made buildings/monuments after we are gone to take care of them. after a century pretty much nothing is left. quarians have only been gone 500 years or so? but still enough for most citys and buildings to be completly overun by wildlife.
founs this on tv tropes "
In one of Shepard's conversations with EDI, she questions Shepard about the behavior of some prisoners of the Reapers, and Shepard asks her if "submission is preferable to extinction." Saren had asked Shepard this same question in the first game. "

You guys are horrible at conspiracy theory. This is all the work of Navigator Pressly, who faked his own death with the destruction of the SR1; he intentionally left pro-alien journal notes behind to further cover up his intentions.
He is currently operating as one of the three heads of Cerberus: Jack Harper as the Illusive Man, Charles Pressly as the Grouchy Man and Tom Selleck's Mustache as the Pure Awesome Man. In the event that Harper should fail, Pressly and the 'stache shall combine the essences of Tom Selleck, Chuck Norris, Ted Nugent, George Patton, Yip Man and Si from Duck Dynasty to form one massive Raging Man Bomb. The mushroom cloud from said bomb with resemble a giant smoldering fist that will breach the speed of epicness, causing instantaneous growth of awesome facial hair on men, spontaneous female satisfaction and the destruction of the Reapers.

We should probably just call it a random London combat occurrence that changes from one playthrough to another. Just like the labored breathing. Maybe they are just simply random events that are there to clue us (the player) into the fact that things are not what they seem. There may be nothing more to it than that.

I'm currently trying to find out if there's a point during Cronos station where Shepard could have passed out or been blown back that would account for why everything from a certain point onwards becomes bizarre. This could also explain why the creaking sounds on Cronos station sound so much like the creaking we hear during the breathing scene, as well as the manmade materials and cables present. I've even toyed with the thought that the wind we hear in the breath scene could be atmosphere venting through a hull breach.
Also of note is that the video logs that Shepard views on Cronos seem to be consistent with the three different color schemes. For example the red section Shepard views video blogs about his own resurrection and talks about how he's not even sure if his mind is truly his own, showing doubt that he even knows if his choices are even his anymore. While in the green section we see the video logs on EDI which prompts her to talk about how her relationship with organics has become more cooperative, a foreshadow to synthesis. The green section also shows us the video logs on Kai Leng who we know is chock full of reaper tech and believes evolution (synthesis) is the answer.

Not sure if you guys saw me mention it earlier, but could saving/loading have affected your experiences with the view bob? I had it after London FOB. Had to go to bed, when I loaded the next day in the Thanix missile area, the bob was gone.

The at rest labored breathing is affected the same way. Sometimes it will survive a reload, sometimes it won't.

Is there a Fem-gazer?
Regardless, Tali and my Shep have been working overtime to figure out just how compatible human and quarian DNA is.
But more back to the subject: I would expect many of us would be blown out of our seats if this really was a retelling of Shepard's Journey through a prolonged dreamstate. The IT is one thing; but that's entering the abstract.

The blue lighted sections have the protoreaper parts in them and although the actual area Shpeard stands in when viewing the logs on the illusive man is illuminated in a green light the surroundings are all hued in blue which is coming from the protoreaper room. You also look directly as this room when staring at the semi-translucent monitor showing the logs about Greyson and TIM.Turbo_J wrote...

Also, remember the monitors Shepard accessed on Eden Prime during Javik's retrieval?, These clearly showed that Shepard entered a trance allowing him to witness what happened to the Protheans first hand, I believe he even comments that he felt he was actually there due to it.

I tossed around the idea that it was the story through the Echo Shard Javik give Shep being re-lived/reviewed by the new protagonist of ME4, but it's not canon or not really possible because not everyone has Javik... however, you never know what kind of crystal Bakara gave Shepard in the med bay.

Bull****...
COOPERATION BETWEEN ORGANICS AND SYNTHETICS IS NOT SYNTHESIS. NOT EVEN ****ING CLOSE.
Synthesis is the exact opposite of this...
It's a forcible elimination of organic and synthetic life through a universal rewrite under the assertion that organics and synthetics cannot get along...

Settle down Bill, I was just speculating on the point that a machine was commenting on cooperation between a sentient synthetic and organics in an area bathed in green light, which could be a subtle form of foreshadowing. Considering BioWare aren't exactly going to come out and say "Hey, you know Synthesis? That's the option where Reapers get to **** the universe up the ass for the rest of eternity", are they now? Because if they did we wouldn’t need an ITD thread as it would be widely accepted by everyone.Bill Casey wrote...

EDIT: By the way, even if Synthesis was a reality I wouldn't choose it, considering the reason I never choose it in the first place was because I didn't feel it was right to rewrite the genetic code of every living creature in the known universe because I wanted to stop the Reaper threat. I'd rather end my own life by blowing up a big red tube than force my will (and hence the desires of the Reapers) onto an unwitting universe. Let alone the implications of what IT proposes it to be...

The red section contains video on Shepard's resurrection and EDI's character development.
The blue section contains video on Cerberus/The Illusive Man's activities.
The green section contains the power-misdirecting staircase, plus the sequence with the Prothean VI and Kai Leng.
This seems like a symbolic pattern to me. Very nice find!
