You know, I just noticed something I hadnt noticed before, since I've watched that first dream sequence several dozen times today. That first sound that scares the kid away? The kid is terrified, yet it has absolutely no effect on Shepard. I believe this is consistent across all 3 dreams as well.

I suggested a short while ago that maybe the kid was being scared off by "Anderson", or rather Shepard's willpower. Well the more I look at these dream sequences, the more I believe that to be the case.

The Sounds of Possession

Hold me! Thank God I picked Destroy first!

Lol I'm such a sucker. I picked synthesis first.

Hellish, just watched the vid again with my headphones and it really is awesome! Like I said, I think you did a great job at targeting people who aren't so familiar with IT or infrasonic noise. And look at all the lurkers (hi lurkers <3) coming out to tell you the impact it made on them. Great job!! ;)

Yup, and thats why I simply cant get enough of all this. I feel like it's a once in a lifetime experience that will never come again. I just cant imagine this sort of thing ever being duplicated on this large a scale. I want to savor every moment!

I know what you mean! The first time I played ME3, I almost didn't want to keep playing it because you only get the experience of playing an amazing game for the first time once. But I couldn't stop! IT just adds a whole new sense of discovery to the game that really won't end until EC comes out. I'm so glad I got around to playing ME3 before EC, and finally have gotten my boyfriend to get back into Mass Effect now on his summer break. We'll finally be able to discuss the endings and IT! ^_^

Just make sure to keep prodding him along so he finishes before the EC comes out!

Yep! Looks like I hit the nail right on the head with this one. I am quite pleased. Well worth the time spent on it!

Hellish I think this is the nail that breaks the anti IT argument. There is just no freaking way that can be a coincidence... along with a majority of the other things that we discovered and analyzed and debated to absolute death. Props to you and everyone else involved with finding this new evidence. You all but confirmed I made the right choice. I just hope my legend save didn't mess up from me picking different endings.

I hope so. If my video manages to help any of the anti-IT crowd reconsider their decision, that would make me wildly happy, and probably them too!

As much as I am intrigued/impressed by these findings (and the video is very intersting and well-made), I think there will always one counter-argument against IT: According to the Final Hours it was planned, but scrapped, and every "evidence" we see or hear are merely leftovers from this...

And this is the main thing that keeps me worried somehow...that everything is there/was planned, but won't be used for business reasons or whatever....which would be eternally sad...

Anyway, from all the threads and discussions out there, this IT-thread is by far the most productive. It is not a church, but more of a science-congress..Posted Image

Hold me! Thank God I picked Destroy first!

I intended so too but I was a bit confused which of the three choices were destroy (and I was tired after playing ME 3 all night). Then I went and picked Synthesis to see what it was really about. I suspected it was a trap so I wanted to see what would happen.

gunslinger_ruiz wrote...

Edit: all comes back to thinking of the entire ending sequence as a puzzle.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who views the ending as puzzle.

Can't listen to this right now.. can someone quickly sum up what I'd hear? Sounds from the dream sequences?

I'm not sure we've found all the pieces yet, more keep popping up, but for the most part they spell out "indoctrination" or at the very least "hallucination" or even less than that "something isn't right." If IT is true then EC should add some bigger pieces, I hope anyway.

Final Hours is looking less and less accurate in my mindset. True they might have scrapped the gameplay but stroy elements might have just been used instead along with multiple hints and forms of sensory input to work with the indoctrination. Like what we are talking about now with what everyone here helped unearthed.

So in short it wasn't scrapped completely is how I would make a counter arguement. Because if it was utterly scrapped then they did a really bad job of leaving a lot of leftovers.

It's basically a quick summary of some of the findings within the thread... with dramatic music ;)

Funny you mention that because I was just about to head off for the night. I have an odd sleep schedule right now. I sleep about 5 hours at night, then nap for the other 2 or 3 during the day. For some reason that's what's worked out best for me lately...

I agree. I've thought for at least a few weeks now that there was deliberate misinformation in the Final Hours app. Or rather, "lies that arent really lies" a la Starbinger himself.

Careful not to give me all the credit on the video though. I put it together in dramatic fashion but I couldnt have done it without TSA and several others. B)

i'm self destructing i admit
i make so many bad bad choices
here's the thing that i admit
i always know they're bad choices

I do remember there being a couple interviews with the sound designer and a lot of emphasis on sound, particularly reaper noises before the game came out as well. I can't remember too many specifics though. Interesting still.

Noticed the lyrics when I was in the cabin my first playthrough and thought I was hearing things. Some people joke it should be renegade Shep's theme... :D. As for being a foreshadow for the endings, I don't know, thought it was just an interesting song.
