Agreed. Some people act like this is a war, the winner of which will get to decide the contents of the EC. <_<
Thats why I take a passive, "decide for yourself" tone with the wording in my video, rather than the in your face "SUCK ON THAT, LITERALISTS" tone that CleverNoob uses towards the end of his documentary.

Hate to break it to people, but the EC is probably done already and already in the playtesting/bugfixing stage. Working up a sweat trying to convince each other to switch sides is pointless, and no different than trying to convince someone to change who their favorite sports team is.

I'm just doing it for kicks. If it changes people's minds, great. If not, Then i'll still have had fun arguing.

Found something interesting in the end. I compared some of the audio of the conversation between Star Brat and Shepard.

This is an analysis of some of Star Brats dialogue.

*snip*

Hrm, does that analysis include the echo effect, or is it of the files without the echo added?

With the echo.

Interesting. The same echo is applied to both Starbinger and Shepard, so I would think if there was significant unintentional infrasound byproduct, it would apply to both voices in that case. I'll wait for TSA to confirm, but it looks solid to me at first.

You know what, I rescind this statement. I'm going to call it and say that the infrasound in Starbinger's dialog is intentional too. It's loud, and actually tapers instead of peaks as it approaches 0, so I dont see how it could be analysis noise.

Do you consider the message at the end of ME2 to be "part of the story"?  'Cause there's a fourth wall breaking message at the end of the story there, too.

I must admit I can't even remember what it was.

That being said, it depends on the context and what it says.  If it references something outside of the game universe, then no its not part of the story.  If its more like a report done in an 'inside the lore' style then I would probably count it.

What it did was it explained that you now had the option to continue with this playthrough, and complete anything you might have missed, or that you can import this playthrough for a new game plus.  Also, I think there's other stuff, but my point is, it's directed at the player, not at Shepard.  It's not inside the lore, at least not based on what I remember of it.

Which is why they are also lying.

Jumping jelly beans batman, if IT is correct, bioware's is doing both.

Yeah, when someone lies once and then makes another statement it is hard to take them at their word.  Even if they say something bad, you think they are maybe lying to cover up that they are doing something good.

Which feels weird.  But that's why you shouldn't trust a liar.

You need some logic in your debate son. This IT thing is dead just like ME3. Nobody cares about this game now. Just stop this madness people.

IT IS OVER...........GAMEOVER...............DONE...........COMPLETE! It or normal ending it's over and the game just sucks. Hell, 90% of the topics aren't even about people enjoying the game. All people do it debate this IT theory or chat about how much the ending sucked. To me this is a sign the game itself sucked ass if nobody is talking about anything else good about it.

I feel you, man. I used to be like that (and I'm not saying I'm better than you by not being like that anymore), but I just had bad luck with it and it caused me more stress than it was worth. If you can handle, go ahead! Even though I prefer to be more passive on this subject, I think we should stand up for ourselves, and there are a lot of people needlessly ripping on us. They don't have to agree with us, but seriously, they should calm the **** down and stop all the hate, imo.

Oh right.  Yeah, I certainly agree that's completely non-story.  As much as 'load game' and 'game over' aren't part of the story.

I think we're all agreeing here, aren't we?

My point was that the post-ending message should be completely ignored when it comes to theorising what happened in-game.  And why the argument of 'but the message said I won so I won' is flawed.

I'm actually a compulsive debater too. Usually my first instinct when someone says any kind of non-fact to me is to attempt to poke holes in it so I can debate it. It's a handy habit for objectivity, but bad if you always feel you have to act on it. That being said, I use extra restraint when arguing over the internet, because its a veritable minefield of trolls, and most of the time you might as well just throw your arms up and get pissed off before saying anything, and save yourself a lot of typing.

You're wrong.  Because we care.

Your troll attempt failed.  Care to try again?

Or would you like to stay and maybe dig out some evidence to back up your statements?  Because that would be delightful.

You can take comfort in the fact that they probably have worse lives than you if they feel the need to act that way on the internet. Thats what I usually do. It works. ;)

*cough*  Same.  *cough*

Problem is I get annoyed relatively easily, so my ability to debate is pretty much limited to 'people who mostly agree with me but have differing views on small details'.  Otherwise I just get irritated that someone can disagree with me.

Which goes to show logic and emotion really don't mix very well.

Yeah I get this weird anger thing. I used to get so angry at people I'd get dizzy and I would lose my ability to argue rationally and just sort of get nasty. Then I'd apologize for everything and the whole process was just ugly. Now I just keep my mouth shut unless I think it's really important, and I just keep a constant eye on my emotional temperature.

I would just LOVE to wallow in the same negativity you are in and allow you to bring me down, but I'm an optimist and a writer and I'm not going to give up on Bioware unless they screw up the EC. I can see the thematic and symbolic things they've done and now we have solid proof that infrasonic is in a lot of scenes, which points to Indoctrination.

No, sorry, Sir/Madem. IT is alive and well and better than ever. It's a solid interpretation now.

Batman Turian, i have read a bit into Indoctrination, and know what it does, but Shepard is remarkably strong-willed. it would remarkably difficult for one reaper to even plant the seed let alone actually indoctrinate Shepard as IT states, it is harbinger indoctrinating Shepard. unless i read that wrong, in order for it to happen over 1 year (Shepard was dead, so that may have reset the Indoctrination count for Shepard) Shepard would have to be around reaper stuff for quite awhile and have Every reaper in the Sol System going for him/her.

Not trying to leap into your discussion, but I did want to mention that Shepard's death/revival could not have "reset the count" for Shepard. Indoctrination is a both a permanent physical and psychological effect on the brain that, as far as we know, cant be reversed in any way.

To add to what Hellish is saying, think of it like you would think of an addict...once an addict, always an addict.
