It's nothing I haven't seen before.

"DAMN W***E!"

By the way, if this next video even turns out to be 80% as awesome as I'm picturing in my head, I think you guys are really gonna like it. I'm really hoping I can at least finish this next one before the EC comes out....

This is OT, but does anybody know why Bioware chose not to include some of the more ancillary Reaper minions from ME2 - like scions and abominations - in ME3? Not that we don't already have a nice variety of Reaper baddies, of course.

Could just be a case of them not including them since we have 'replacements' for them in ME3.

For exploding kamikaze type attackers like the abominations we now have the swarmers and if you get swamped by them you're screwed. As for the Scion, you could argue that the Banshee's are their replacements since they can use those biotic projectiles to attack you from a distance and charge at you to force you out of cover, or the ravager's possibly with their cannon. As for the Praetorian, the closest thing I can think of as it's replacement is the brute, both are incredibly tough to kill and can wipe your squad out in no time.

I always thought that the Brutes were a cheap way to include Yahgs...w/o saying they were Yahgs...As for Praetorians - what about the Harvesters as their replacement?

Suppose the Harvesters could work as well. I only said the Brute since we actually do fight them, with the Harvesters they don't really attack the player or squad they just drop off more husks for you to fight until you eventually kill it.

Damn, you sound a lot like me and my brother.

Me, I'm a literature, history, and language freak. I've studied several different languafges, and can speak 4 fluently, and 2 with basic knowledge. I'm pretty much seen as a master of language and literature in my university.

When it comes to literature, you can bet I've read almost it all. From Lovecraft to Orwell, from Jules Vern to Hobbs... Yup, pretty much it all. I do extremely well at analyzing literature and finding small hints among the lines, or interpreting its message or themes. I guess that's one of the reasons the IT intrigues me that much...

What intrigues me most about history is the military aspect of it. War more or less shaped our modern world, and is one of the sole reasons for technical advances in the last century. However, the best part of history is IMO the roman empire.

Also, I'll be joining the military as a supreme officer in two years, so I hope I can put my historical military knowledge and leadership skills to good use!

Have fun with that. I wish you well in that pursuit. We must always have lions to protect us from the wolves.

Indeed. I'll be serving with my sister.

What I'm looking forward to most is all the tasks I'll have to do in different countries.

One of my frinds has a father in the navy and he gets to go to a lot of exciting places, and since I love exploring the world (been to 18 different countries), that is something I really look forward to!

Ah, now I'm really jelly. :P

To how many countries have you been?

I have NEVER been out of my home country. I don't have the money or resources. Someday, though, I hope. Maybe I'll be a bestseller someday and get to travel. Have to have dreams to strive for.

In what country do you live? The USA?

I've been in most of those countries as a child. My parents also love traveling, so we went away pretty often.

Yeah, I'm American. I live in the midwest and the farthest city I've been to is San Francisco and that was just on my way to Santa Cruz (Surf City, USA)

Let's see, these are the countries I've been to:

Denmark
Germany
Sweden
Norway
Russia
USA
Canada
Great Britain
Ireland
Italy
Austria
Slovakia
Spain
Greece
Netherlands
Belgium
Poland

I just noticed something that may be of interest. A while back there was a discussion about the potential meaning of birds in dreams in relation to the scene before the credits. Well on Rannoch there are birds that circle above the Reaper base, this however is not the interesting bit. As Shepard goes towards the ledge to paint the target there is scripted event of birds passing directly in front of Shepard complete with sound effects. This is perhaps not the hardest evidence ever but it does seem to fit some previously identified symbolism and is in very close proximity to an indoctrination device!. Sorry if this has been noted before!

Oh... and the evidence! www.youtube.com/watch. Best not forget that!

Hard to say but, for the record, the birds were already here during the Overlord DLC. Same animation and same sound as far as I can remember. (Already a mission involving Geths btw)

Next one needs more voiceover!

Not sure why, but I prefer videos with a narrator...

Oh, and I'll volenteer if you don't want to.  Apperently I have a good voice :P

Hmm, I will definitely give that some thought, but either way, dont say anything further about that in this thread, cuz I'm keeping the topicality of this next vid a secret until it's released. *high five to Bioware*

I'll PM you about it after I think on it a bit! :D

Oh and by the way, the Sounds of Possession video needed to be voice-less to increase the dramatic effect. Voiceover/narration would have stymied the drama due to blurring the focus of the viewer away from the bass end of the spectrum during the exposition. That doesnt necessarily mean that would be the case for future videos, though, so I'll give it some thought.

I got a mod for Skyrim where you can hear her sing "The Age Of Agression" and "the dragonborn comes" when you ask a female bard if she can sing one of those two songs for you.

Sounds interesting.  Would also be nice if I could contribute in a meaningful way, considering my lack of ability in graphical design or video editing.

Edit:  And yeah, you're right about Sounds of Possesion needing to focus more on the in-game sounds and music.  The fact it was relatively short helped too, longer videos need a bit of narrative to help drive it onwards.  Its why I struggled to watch 'There is only ONE choice' in one sitting - 42 minutes and no narrative bar voice clips from the game!

I agree. Athough, come to think of it, there are quite a lot of american shows and channels I hate.

Take for example history channel. What does ancient aliens have to do with history? Or UFO files? Or UFO hunters? Or swamppeople?

History channel started out as a channel I loved until it became pure and utter crap 5 years ago.

Yeah, I agree. The only reason that video held my interest unfailingly was because the topicality is still quite relevant, and symbolism is of particular interest to me. That's a pretty narrow audience though. I scripted and directed my video to be aimed at all audiences, from hardcore IT fans all the way to random curious people in the future that want a little insight into the genius behind the scale of the ME storyline and ending, or just want to know what all the fuss is about.

Don't even get me started. I don't even have cable anymore actually because TV is so bad. I just use netflix. I'm still bitter about the whole " Sy Fy" BS. but anyway we are way off-topic now and Chris might come down with the lock.
