Okay, was going over the video with the questions about the ending with the lead writers this came up and found that maybe you guys might want to talk about how it affects the IT. I have no idea myself.

Supposedly people on the Citadel survived the explosions....
I think they were implying that the explosions may not have actually occurred, or that the people on the Citadel were never actually killed. Seemed like too strong of a hint IMO, but I guess not, because people didnt seem to read it the same way I did.
Well the only way no-one died on the Citadel is if it didn't blow up.
Even at face value, there's no way the millions of people on board would survive or escape. There's so many people living there that even the Migrant Fleet would probably struggle to transport them all (even if empty of their own populations), and the Reapers attacked very suddenly. Not to mention I don't buy that the Reapers would leave everyone on board alone.
So I think that's a pretty clear message that something big is going to be revealed, either that it all never happened or some unseen event happened that saved everyone.
Heck, Emily Wong might even get brought back (or rather, the twitter-killer is revoked) and she gives a post-victory interview with Shepard.
And technically speaking... All they need to do to 'keep the same ending' is to keep the 'buy dlc' window. That's 'the ending'

Heck, I'd even buy that DLC if they made live up to our expectations.
