I was born in London, you know?

So you're a Reaper Doomsday Device. Logical implication. Posted Image

Okay, was going over the video with the questions about the ending with the lead writers this came up and found that maybe you guys might want to talk about how it affects the IT. I have no idea myself.

Supposedly people on the Citadel survived the explosions.... :blush:

I've never watched this bit of the PAX panel...man, Patrick Weekes goes all panicky explaining how "everything...IS...FINE!!! You got that?"

Might be their time running out, of course...but I still didn't forget how that supposed leak about how Casey and Mac wrote the ending was posted by a user that was supposedly Weekes' account...
so everything is up for...speculations.

But his explaination is still legit. But it still boggles me how noone during the question bit asked the more obvious questions...

Well it looked like the guy in the back who never got to ask his question looked like he had something important. He had a notepad man!!! I think they purposely cut him off....:whistle:

uuuh. So him saying it the second time, that's actually meant in another way, huh?

Sounds possible!

Oh, hmm... Maybe there is something in it. After all he repeats himself. Either it's a writers' oversight or a message from the real Anderson imprisoned in a Reapers' servant's shell.

Actually, I was born in Hanover.  But I can tell a convincing lie.  You're very convinced by my very East-End accent.

I really hope at some point in the future Bioware eventually releases a documentary or making-of video that details the manner in which they seemed to universally fluster, bewilder, and confuse the vast majority of their audience into not knowing what the heck to do after regaining control of Shepard in the decision chamber. There is an overly consistent response from people that makes it seem like there is something going on beneath the surface that exploits some area of psychology that none of us are likely to understand.

I do, too! Assuming IT is true, of course.

In a way, it reminds me of the end of Bioshock (er, spoilers, look away if you've not played Bioshock) and how... it used the mechanism of the way games are played to sort of make the moral point that you were never really in control of your actions at all, but you don't notice that as a player because games are like that, but in the story of the game it was revealed that you were more or less being controlled by a hypnotic suggestions phrase that, whenever anyone said the key phrase, you "had" to do what they suggested. Of course, you didn't +have+ to do anything, but the only way to progress the game was to do these things, so effectively you did do what they suggested. So it was sort of using the standard gaming mechanic to make a point. Like when you enter the final chamber in ME3, Shepard no longer has access to the witty retorts or renegade actions or violent responses you had during the rest of the game, you're confined to the responses that suit indoctrination...

Or...the MP events are already planned out in a way that dictates when...[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/bandit.png[/smilie]...stuff gotta happen.

Agreed with this. I'd never roll out a project without knowing when it was going to end, and what deliverables would occur and when. Very few software companies have the clout (Blizzard and Valve, basically) to just push out release dates on a whim. I'd say the EC is on a very tight schedule.

I can help out with editing, It's pretty much part of what I do for a living.

Sounds good. I'll definitely let you know if I run into any snags. I'm using Pinnacle Studio, which a mid-range editing suite. Good combination of ease-of-use and power, but it lacks some of the more advanced features of the popular Sony and Adobe versions.

If I run into any issues, I'll let you know and maybe send some footage your way to be worked on.

Thanks!

I used to use that too but then I started using Premier. It's actually not bad once you get used to it. I'm working on a Battlefield 3 video that will show off some new skills.

I have no doubt that I've the skill to start working with Adobe or Sony, it's just that I dont pirate and those programs cost a lot of money. Until I run into one too many brick walls with Pinnacle, I'll stick with it.

Fortunately I got my copy through a friend. I dodn't like it at first because it was so unfamiliar. Having two screens was like "Woahhh"

I just used the medalion you get in me1 on some kind of prothean artifact, and got a written story that was extremely if not just as the me3 ending was.

I hope we get some answers soon.

I haven't played me3 at all since may.

not even multiplayer.

Looking at this objectively, he bases the premise of his answer on the endings where the Citadel isnt completely destroyed and then states that there definitely are some casualties with the explosion that did happen and that the apparent survivors are under a kinectic barrier on the detached arms floating away.

My take anyway.  Doesn't seem like an IT hint either way.  Was I watching the right part?

I dunno about you guys, but I'm pretty good at public speaking, and in my opinion that guy looked VERY nervous. Was he nervous because he's just not a good public speaker? Or because he was winging a false or misdirecting answer? Who knows...

Yes. Like I said earlier today, we now have a mountain of evidence tall enough that we can simply stand on it and let it speak for itself. Anyone trying to tear it down will bloody their hands on the sharp edges.

I already exposed them of there circular logic.  You know:

IT=Stupid and Bad Writing
ME3 Ending=Stupid
ME3=Bad Writing
Anti-IT=IT can't be true.

By their logic, Bad writers would never be capable of bad writing because they are bad writers.  Just like Starbringer.
