Guys, looking for a little more help if anyone would like to chip in. I'm storyboarding on the topic of diversity, and how the game portrays the cooperation of that diversity in a positive light.

So far I've got:
EDI + Normandy crew
Geth + Quarian (Once they resolve their conflict)
Huerta Memorial Hospital (Races showing sympathy for each other and using their unique talents to assist other species in their weak areas)

Am I missing anything major?

Ah... Human and Turian. Normandy... I know it's from ME1 but they were at war... 'and now we are allies' -Victus.

Also Turians, Krogans, and Salarians. The Bad Blood Bunch.

Check out this post I made earlier today. The symbolism of the Salarian/Krogan uplift + genophage subplot runs even deeper than I thought at first.

I saw that earlier and I did note the complexity. It is my favorite sub plot of the game. Tuchanka as a whole was simply amazing. Even though part of that was the Cerberus arc, saving the Primarch's son, it was the first taste of front line war and it really blew me away. The impact isn't the same the second time around, but that first time drop into a mortar fire hot zone. Just wow. London felt vacant in comparison.

I wish there was a 'quadruple the enemy forces' option along side difficulty.

Imperfect and frustrating at times as it may be, the Council and Citadel Space...
Especially when contrasted to the Prothean Empire, the Batarian Hedgenomy, Cerberus, etc...

Oh, and This...

Wrex on Clans

Shepard:
What's so important about maintaining individual clans.
Wrex: Every clan has different customs. Rites of passage, rules of behavior, battle songs, all unique. That diversity makes us great. No clan, not even mine was meant to survive on its own.

The Asari in general (specifically due to how they can procreate w/any species)
Shep's crew through all 3 games

And count me in for posterity...

Did you happen to catch my response about how much "Sacrifice" aslo fits with the arc?

Edit: Same page as your post I think...

I would love to use the Krogan clan diversity example, but I'm not sure if its visually portrayed anywhere that would make it usable in the type of video I'm going for. Can you think of anywhere where it might be portrayed visually? If so, that would be awesome!

Krogans + Turians comes to mind,  dunno what else.
How bout the three Merc bands working together, and working with the allied fleet, but that isn't paticularly fleshed out beyond a side mission.

Yeah, I need things with footage I can use in a video. :P Unfortunately there really isnt much in the way of scenes depicting Krogans and Turians working together, unless I'm forgetting something.

In London after leaving the FOB you see Krogan and Turians on the front line but it's brief.

Was going to suggest that scene, and if you haven't already all the council races + krogans trying to take down the Reaper Destroyer when you get to the missile battery...well before they get atomized by it anyway.

No, but I just went and looked at it right now. And that is very true, and in fact Sacrifice is going to be receiving special attention as somewhat of a subject of its own, in this case. :)

Frak yeah!  That would be awesome!  Actually, better idea, add game modifiers like Halo's Skulls.  Then, you could have a difficulty even HIGHER than Insanity!  How about... IMPOSSIBLE?!

Wow, I knew I was missing something major. Shep's crew throughout the trilogy is a perfect example of the impact of cooperative diversity. Thanks!

I'd also love to use Javik's exposition on the lack of diversity contributing to their downfall, but I need visual portrayals, and I dont think there are any for that one. :pinched:

One last post...when you brought up the intial question and I started thinking about subplot >theme>choice - I was kind of surprised just how much overlap there was...it continues to amaze the depth and intricacy that Bioware wove this story together with...and some poeple call them "bad" and "lazy"...right. Wouldn't it have been awesome if they actually could have taken it down?  You know, if you've built up a massive army, then they actually succeed in destroying the Reaper.  That would have been awesome to watch.

Specifically, I'm looking for visual portrayals of how diversity makes cooperative effort more powerful.

Well, it's 1:00 a.m. where I'm at, and I do need to actually get stuff done tomorrow, so I think I'll be off for the night. See you all later, and good luck with the speculating.

The Wrex/Wreav standoff when you start the cure the genophage mission includes numerous Krogan clans.  You can also see different Krogan in Arlack company and can reach back to the Krogan ambassadors in ME2.

Yeah, thats why I really tend to facepalm when people view us as being in a state of denial and delusion.  They just dont share our enthusiasm of reading into the depths of a story, I guess. For them, its usually just about being right or wrong.

Would've been amazing to see, but realistically unless every one of them had Cains and other insane heavy weapons it seems futile to try and take down a Destroyer with just infantry. And without air support or artillery of some kind.

And yet a bunch of forces hiding under rocks carrying generic "Everything I've got" weapons manage to finish off that Destroyer after the previous attempt didnt even make it flinch. <_< Highly suspect.

Ok, this will be a bit off topic from IT.

I've been playing me3 again since my Internet went out ( posting On my iPhone). I just talked to Bailey for the first time. 3 things stood out to me. Udina hand picked him for the job, he didn't lobby for the job, and he is not too sure why he got picked ( though later he said it was for outing the former executor for illegal activity of some kind. Couple this with what we know from me2 I am now dAmn sure Bailey helped out Cerberus in some capacity during the coup. Didn't think so before.

On iPhone, Udina = urinal apperently.
