Wouldn't it have been awesome if they actually could have taken it down?  You know, if you've built up a massive army, then they actually succeed in destroying the Reaper.  That would have been awesome to watch.

Would've been amazing to see, but realistically unless every one of them had Cains and other insane heavy weapons it seems futile to try and take down a Destroyer with just infantry. And without air support or artillery of some kind.

And yet a bunch of forces hiding under rocks carrying generic "Everything I've got" weapons manage to finish off that Destroyer after the previous attempt didnt even make it flinch. <_< Highly suspect.

An odd thing. Suspiciously odd. Looked like more Thanix missiles though, so who knows. Or they just got really really really lucky shots in.

Ok, this will be a bit off topic from IT.

I've been playing me3 again since my Internet went out ( posting On my iPhone). I just talked to Bailey for the first time. 3 things stood out to me. Udina hand picked him for the job, he didn't lobby for the job, and he is not too sure why he got picked ( though later he said it was for outing the former executor for illegal activity of some kind. Couple this with what we know from me2 I am now dAmn sure Bailey helped out Cerberus in some capacity during the coup. Didn't think so before.

On iPhone, Udina = urinal apperently.

Well, the iPhone's opinion settles that one for us, then! :D

But yeah, I agree. There is more to Bailey than we have been led to believe.

Does anyone have new proof about the IT?? And not the infrasonic noise...something that hasn't been discussed. Otherwise I feel that we...I don't want to say it...have hit dead bottom of the proof barrel. *Shocked gasp* I seriously think that new proof has slowly been coming in less and less. (At least good proof) We need something new!!!!

Patience, I'm working on something I believe to present the best kind of evidence we have. Dont focus so much on "tangible" evidence... Symbolic evidence is far more compelling. ;)

The patterns are there...hidden in the data...

Only the human squadmates yell, so I think the point is that only the humans care enough to rage over his death.... Not saying I agree with the point, but there it is...

I'd like to think it's because they're only screaming in Shepard's imagination, but I have no evidence to think that aside from already doubting the reality of London as it is.

The more the EC gets delayed, the more I'm convinced there's a big surprise waiting for us.

Also, I highly reccommend checking out the "waterfalls of blood" in the chasm before meeting Illusive Man and Anderson. You can see them by turning around...

TBH this is one of the weirdest scenes in London for me.
IT MAKES NO SENSE that they would rage like that for real. maybe the 'your gonna pay for that!" works but damnn what is up with that screaming nonsense LOL

You would not expect a Reaper because the whole reveal is that the Catalyst is the master behind the Reapers, not a Reaper himself. He is might be associated with the Reapers, but remember he is not one himself (perhaps that's your IT bias coming in :)

A computer-like voice could have been good, probably even better than the kid, but I don't think he is manipulating to choose destroy to get indoctrinated . As far as I am concerned, he is just making sure Shepard listens to him; if he presented himself as a Reaper, the idea that his evidence could be given objectively would have been in jeopardy.

The Catalyst is instrumental in making sure the Crucible works (the reaction in this case) but he cannot make the decision himself (the Catalyst can't be used up). His name fits.

I know I am replying to something quite a while ago, but you (SubAstris) made 3 mistakes in these 3 sentences.

First of the Catalyst is a Reaper, he admits it in the line "I know you have thought about destroying us," that line would be completely false if the Catalyst was not a Reaper since Shepard has not thought of destroying the Citadel.

Secondly I said the kid was manipulating Shepard away from Destroy, not towards. The kid presents Destroy in a negative light using things such as the destruction of EDI/Geth/Technology to make it appear less desirable.

And thirdly did you even listen to what the Catlyst said. "The Crucible changed me, created new possibilities." A Catalyst is not changed in the process it is involved in, that is a basic part of a catalyst. Also a Catalyst speeds up a process, it does not change it!

Vega's reaction works I guess since he's known him the longest, as for the others yeah it's really wierd. May be pent up stress coupled with being back on the ruins of Earth? Frustration losing one of their own crew? Maybe the voice actors were told it was going to be a different kind of scene? Your guess is as good as mine.

The melodrama of all 3 is quite consistent, leading me to believe it was intentional. One, or even two, I could understand, but all 3 being cheesy, poorly acted, and melodramatic? Someone told them to ham it up.

It was just retarded to me, though.
jajaja every version of that scene just made me crack up. but yea you're right about Vega.
Maybe since the reapers are ATM f***ing with Shep's mind, its just him going crazy and hearing things?
Either way, that scene is ridiculous

Especially when contrasted to the Prothean Empire, the Batarian Hedgenomy, Cerberus, etc...

Thumbs up for clumping the Protheans in with the Batarians and Cerberus. Right where those bastards belong. Too many people blinded by the "cool" characters to see them for what they are. Reminds me of the qunari.

Wow, I knew I was missing something major. Shep's crew throughout the trilogy is a perfect example of the impact of cooperative diversity. Thanks!

Too much so. Seriously, I hate how we're only allowed one of any racial group (humans aside obviously). One turian, one asari, one krogan (wru me3 krogan?!), ect. I firmly believe that the only reason Legion was killed off was because the synthetic group mate spot was already taken by EDI. Which if true pisses me off since they wrote in a character whose sole purpose was to give an excuse for EDI to be a usable squad member. With all due respect to EDI, I prefer Legion.

Then you think wrong. People have been crying wolf like this are now since about a week after the theory was first suggested. Obviously the pace of finding clues will slow over time. That's basic math. No matter how many clues are there, there's a finite number of them. As they get uncovered the number left to be found diminishes. If there were 50 at release and 30 have been found, that means we now have a pool of less than half to work with and they're going to be the more subtle and harder to find ones. A slower pace is inevitable and means nothing.

It's been about 3 months since release and we're still finding some pretty compelling stuff lately. How long ago was it that Riot fellow showed all those comparison shots between London and Vancouver/Manae? A few days? It also wasn't that long ago that someone found that the garden the kid was playing on wasn't even there. Not that it matters if we didn't find anything new lately. How long has it been since you've seen any new proof of widely accepted scientific theories like evolution or gravity? Yeah, it's been a while hasn't it?

Also, we better get an explanation about the terrible "STEEEEVE" lines. It's just...*shakes head*
They can't be THAT dumb, right? :s

Maybe Steve dying (from not getting talked to enough) is just Shepard feeling guilty for not paying attention to him or something? It doesn't make sense.

Are there any other instances of people living or dying based solely on how much you interact with them? (not counting loyalty missions. BioWare made it clear that they would affect your squad's effectiveness, no matter how silly that might seem irl)

Illusive Man: I know them. I know how they think.

Auto Shepard: I think you've gotten a little too close to the enemy.

Illusive Man: No... I'm saying they've got it right. Why kill when you can control?

PARAGON PATH

Shepard: You've been spending too much time with the enemy. They're dragging you over to their side--their way of thinking.

Illusive Man: No, I just... see things differently.

RENEGADE PATH

Shepard: The Reapers have it right? You're indoctrinated! You're doing just what they want!

Illusive Man: I could say the same of you. Wasting time on a war that can't be won.

Shepard: At least I'm fighting!

Illusive Man: Never question my ability to fight! I've been fighting them longer than you can imagine!
