I have only see youtube of it...haven't been renegade enough yet to see it in my own playthrough.

I almost fell off the chair when I saw it. I'm still planning on doing the Renegade playthrough of ME2 and ME3. I'm doing subquests in ME1 right now but since the EC is not yet out I'm lazy about it.


My problem is that I start a renegade playthrough and it ends up being renegon or worst paragade...I really am a "goody two shoes"...Posted Image

I know what you mean. Half a year ago I tried to do a "don't care" ME2 playthrough. It turned out to be a "very careful" playthrough that I ultimately imported to ME3. Just be ready for 30+ hours of kicking puppies once you get to ME3. ;)  I read a comment on YouTube that described a complete Renegade playthrough in ME3 as that.  Based on what I've seen, I agree with that.

Do I give people too much credit? I kind of assumed that people who recognised the change of tone and figured the ending was dreamlike understood what was going on...


In all fairness, even with everything you guys have presented it is still tough for some (though I can only speak for myself) to believe that all of this was planned from the beginning. It just feels like it was rushed and sloppy, that's what my gut tells me. I've said before that I initially thought the end was a dream sequence, then (with TIM and Anderson) thought it was indoctrination, then with Starkid just thought WTF. I would love nothing more than for IT to be a reality, or at the very least have EC begin with you waking up ... but I guess I'm a cynic, and think it's more likely that we'll be disappointed

Ya you would think they would be both diffrent, but in the end weather your Shepard is Paragon, or renegade the end is still the same.:mellow:

As for what's going on, things have been fairly slow the past couple of days. Lots of discussions regarding infrasonic noise and the thematic elements of the series. I am sure there is more, but nothing huge is coming to mind. Where you here when Hellishfiend released his video?

To update: Nothing terribly interesting, there is infrasound but it's so quiet that it's probably the result of a loose LPF or something. The biggest peak isn't the reaper talking - when it powers up it makes a 23Hz tone that's very loud.

Thanks...that helps with the chimes.  But I was hoping too be able to hear the pitch shifted infrasound that you out on sendspace...and its not that I don't like, but that I don't have any of the stuff downloaded and I am to lasy to do that...

You all have been a great grope of people that I have all come to respect and chat with but from what I am hearing from the leakier who was right about the MP dlc , about the EC. I just don't know if IT is true and if the threats against the BIoware staff and EA increase I don't think they will do anything for EC because the a lot of fans are just being aholes about the ending and are not seeing the big picture.

The important thing is that the EC doesn't really have to prove or disprove IT (though it'd be nice if IT was proved). The thing I hope for is that either BioWare have already implemented it (and the EC will disclose it) or that BioWare is considering implementing it in the future after the tremendous support from this and other threads (+ the poll on HTL) and will disclose it in ME4.

To clarify this once more: When we look at some random soundfiles from other games, we wouldn't find infrasonic frequencies there, right? I'm not an expert on that matter, and I'd like to be 100% sure that this had to be deliberately put there by Bioware.

How would the second part work, though? If the EC is - as they claim - simply cutscenes and more dialogue, how would IT be implemented in the future? A full retcon? Not that I oppose that, but it doesn't seem econimical to pay the VAs to come back and then erase all of that work via retcon with future DLC
