I love the Warcraft lore. ^_^

If you're gonna talk about it on this thread, though, it has to be Old Gods. That is the only rule. B)

Ok, well, about the Old Gods. They're all named after beings from the Cthulhu, mythos right? N'zoth is Zoth-Ommog, Cthun is Cthulhu, and Yogg-Saron is Yogg-Sothoth.

The Titans claimed the reason they didnt destroy the Old Gods was because if they did so, it would destroy Azeroth in the process.

Well, the grandfather of Yogg-Sothoth, great great grandfather of Cthulhu, and great great great grandfather of Zoth-Ommog is named Azathoth. Why does that sound familiar? Hmm.

If Azeroth itself isnt in fact an Old God, I will be disappoint.

Wow lore is terrible and half told through out of game books. Can't get any worse than that. Cataclysm alone is full of incomplete plotlines. Alliance fleet to twilight highlands is just sitting there beyond the fatigue limit. Instead you get a hastily prepared personal flight.

How about the terribly lame reveal of the twilight high father, how deathwings children came back to life with no foreshadowing or explanation or why thrall is suddenly best friends with malfurion?

Even the D3 people have complained about the uninspiring diablo 3 story.

Well clearly I'm just shallow and easily amused. I shall revel in my literary filth and LIKE it! I'd like to see you try and stop me.

There's certainly plenty of plotholes, especially if you're only using the information in WoW itself.

But I'd not ever go as far to say it was terrible.  Far from it, its got a huge amount of potential.  Just needs more polish, and less handing over creative powers to Richard Knaak.

Maybe Megumi's being a little harsh, but then again there are a lot of people throwing around information that's patently false (IT related or not) and if stuff ends up in our theories that shouldn't be as a result it just weakens what we already have.

No, Magumi's blowing smoke out her ass, plain and simple. The information she attacked was Hellish's infrasound information, claiming it's all over in her music CD's or some crap and that she gets why the literalists are laughing at that piece of evidence. You want to talk about information that's patently false, just look at Magumi's posting history.

I attacked one or some of your statements and now everything I write is false. Love it :3
Just check random sound files, infrasound is there. Just because it's there doesn't mean it's meaningful which is in no way covered in the video, which was the point.

Can hear footsteps in Shepard's cabin 100% of the time now. I remember someone reported that before, but it not being 100% of the time? Something about there being a cremember outside of the ship?

Needless to say, its unnerving. Even knowing what it is. Can't even imagine it being someone on another deck, considering its above the 'loft' of the ship!

The word 'Conventional' seems to be an arc-word in ME3. Keeps popping up, as if to remind us.

Hackett especially likes this word. Conventional victory is impossible. N7 missions open up possibilities that aren't obtainable by conventional means. Etc etc.

Which certainly hints that an unconventional approach is required. Oh yes indeed.

Nice! This should also be the player's approach. Think outside of the box.
Yes sir, will do sir!

Urgh, and an uncomfortable hum in the Normandy server room (where Dr Eva is being stored, right now). Turns off the moment I walk out. Anyone checked those sound files?

I have also heard those... But after panning the camera I discovered that it was just Shepard's own restless feet.

People, make sure not to get too paranoid.

And those steps you hear in Shep's cabin, it's that random guy from the Normandy we can salute to while he walks off his shoes.
DJBare called it a bug: he's not being unloaded although we changed the deck. I don't see why it should be dismissed as such. I think it adds to the atmosphere that we actually hear stuff going on. Ok, maybe that is counterproductive, when Shep has some seksitime with his LI.

But overall I don't mind not having everything totally quiet. Even if it's sometimes confusing as that hum in the cargo bay, or that dude walking up and down, or the constantly partying and laughing crewmembers that no one ever sees.
It's not a bug, it's a feature.

Not for me.  Plus it wasn't a shuffling noise, it was relatively quick footsteps.

Someone actually flycammed that there was someone outside the ship.  For whatever reason - if they wanted the sound effects they could have added them without the model.

Just posted an interesting video - not really IT related.

Didn't realise they forgot to take out some of Aria's lines from Retake Omega from the audio as well as the subtitles ;)

Links?

(Edit: Thanks :P)

Interesting stuff.  Hopefully it wasn't cut purely to make into DLC to get more money off us (i.e. it was already done...).

Boo! From the lines it sounds like she won't be a permanent party member like I'd hoped.

I knew she wouldn't be.  Stupid unwritten rule that we can only have one party member of a given alien species.

Yeeaah :(

I'm actually beginning to wonder whether the omega mission was smaller than a full scale DLC (perhaps on the scale of the Grissom academy mission or Sanctuary) that got cut.

While listening to her lines "if you help retake Omega, you'll get my resources for the war...since we took back Omega, here are my resources"
I was like...cool, that was quick. Kthxbye

But, if they just cut an Aria mission and didnt intend to replace it, they'd be breaking Omega's only rule!

So where are these corridors that lead to nowhere, and where is the phantom laughter on the Normandy?

Just wondering, so I can check on it myself. Haven't found it thusfar.

Okay, I have never posted in here, but I have been on the fence for the IT and I was reading through the last few pages, and It hit me.

The Reapers were controlling TIM which in turn controlled Cerberus. When Cerberus gets the VI on Thessia we have no idea what they do with it while in their possession. It seems logical that TIM/Reapers would lure Shepard into the citadel by reprogramming the VI to claim it as the catalyst therefore luring Shepard into their trap.

I am on my phone so I apologize if formatting is rough. I also apologize if this is already a common thought and I am late to the party. Either way let me know what you think, and count another converts amongst your ranks.

Good find. I don't understand why did BioWare left those and other voices on the disk if they weren't used in the game. Seems like their QA is sloppy.

They did the same for LotSB and Kasumi.

I ment on the Normandy itself.  I remember someone mentioning weird dead-ends there.

It seems pointless to go back and retake omega for war assets after we already won the war.
