Well, if you've thought about the ending for more than a few minutes (and I mean actual thought beyond "I hate it, it sucks, and everyone says it does, so it must suck.") then most people come to the realization that something's up.

Agreed. Even the first time I saw the ending I was a bit like "er? That doesn't seem right", but didn't really know why. However, watching some of the videos, reading some of the posts in this thread, there are so many little clues that went totally over my head as I played the games.

Seeing them all pointed out makes me want IT to be true, simply because of the care that has gone into finding them!

You're right. There was just something weird/unreal about all the Citadel scenes. But I liked the ending anyway although it was rather sad to watch Shepard burn to death.

(Speaking of which, taking requests, anything you guys wanna see in said re-write, I do this to keep you lot entertained, so what do you think I should work in? I've already decided on "Coates as a traitor" "Anderson's Indoctrination" More closing credits cards, scripting out Hammer's withdrawal/regoup/advance, scenes with Sword Fleet, Rachni disasemmbling a destroyer, possibly some places for gameplay, want your collective thoughts on this one, and potentially Raistlin's "The Crucible is a Mass Accelerator Cannon" theory.)

A spontaneous dance off between Shepard and Harbinger ala Star Wars kinect.

Popular opinion is a powerful force, one that feeds on itself. I'm also willing to bet most of the people whom insist Dragon Age 2 was "TEH WURST GAME EVAR!" are doing so for the same reasons. Worst Dragon Age to date? I'll agree with that, worst game ever? Not by a VERY long margin. Give these guys a copy of E.T. for the Atari, have them shell out $60, THEN we'll see how they feel about DA2.

It's like those people who say they love the Godfather trilogy but not that ghastly third installment! no, apparently that's the worst movie ever made ... no, It's just the lame-duck of the 'Godfather' trilogy... I dare them to watch" Freddy got fingered" or "Gigli" and say that GFIII is a terrible movie.

I'd like to see your interpretation of potential "Happily ever after
endings" For Shepard/LI/the Galaxy. I personally have a hard time
believe that sort of ending in ME3; the races would probably end up
going to war with each other again after some years pass by regardless
of what the outcome is for Shepard but maybe that's the pessimism
talking... ... If I may suggest, add "little blue children" in there somewhere, that'll get some fansupport really going.

Anyway, this is more of an "after the fact" to your
script idea and not an addition, so feel free to ignore it or put it on
the back burner.

On a sidenote, seeing a swarm of Rachni disassembling a Destroyer would be poetic justice on top of being amazingly awesome.

Hm, now that you mention it, dance offs Are better left in the hands of the fans (I mean look at the backlash they got from SW Kinect because of that.) Anyone with some skill in asset extract/animating? First ups gotta be Broshep vs Femshep.

How about Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" while telling them it's a supposed to be serious? Or maybe "The Son of The Mask" and telling them it's supposed to be funny?

Maybe Kaidan vs Ash and they can fight for who Shepard choses to let live on virmire.

Sorry Ash, your robot and sidestep shuffle wasn't quite up to scratch, I'm gonna have to go with Kaidan.

No we're not, we're winning by 2. Potentially 7 depending on how you count them. IT was divided into three categories with one neutral category, and a "No" category.

It's a common statisical trick in polls, don't fall for it.

Ash may not be much of a dancer but I'll leave Kaidan behind 9 times outta 10 <.<

The 10th time being the one time I wanna see his lines in me3 *working on it sorta*

Saved Ash every time since she was my LI, but I liked Kaidan, he seemed like a stand up guy, the sort of fellow you'd play a quiet game of cards with on a tuesday night, could be comfortable around and maybe share a drink. TBH, I wish I had a few more friends like that.

I thought Kaidan was an alright guy too, like a bro, but he just annoyed the hell out of me somtimes. Especially on my femsheps, did you know there isn't a "Let's just be friends" option during the "romance convos" after Feros you either have to go for it, allude to a romance, or verbal gut-punch him. Or just not talk to him to begin with, but then I'd feel a bit worse I think. Either way, little blue children for the majority of my Shepards minus the one that romanced Ash.

I'm a Liara fanboy forever [apparently I like my women blue, scaly and with folds of skin on their head] but I have to say I'm always torn between Ash and Kaidan when it comes to that choice, I really like them both.

They're not THAT scaley :). And Liara's adorable/deadly anyway, not very many Asari you meet are. Hell, I hope sometime after the year 2100 we find a thawed out Mass Relay aimed striaght at the homeworld of those beautiful blue ladies. Even though I might be long dead by then a fanboy can hope, eh?

I don't think this can be considered a clue -let alone proof- for the IT, but i stumbled upon a peculiar reuse of assets by the devs.

In my first playthrough i chose synthesis, before the IT theory was formulated. I don't know why, but at that moment i didn't feel very confortable with the looks of the "synthesised" characters. I wondered where in the game did i already see the glowing circuitry like specular on the leaves and the characters, but i couldn't figure out where.

Wasn't until my second playthrough, on the cerberus Headquarters level in the room with the Human-Reaper Larvae, that i gave a closer look to the destroyed reaper pieces. The big red beam weapon-eye thing is sorrounded by broken panels or plates. Those have specular similar (if not identical) to the aforementioned speculars on the synthesis ending.

Sorry for the horrible photo, but i bought the xbox version of the game, so i couldn't take any decent screen:

So, to put it as simple as possible, everybody in the galaxy got mixed with the inner workings of the reaper... not good.
As i said, this is no proof of IT, but it shines a creepy light on Synthesis ending IMHO.

I'll be honest, I like the drama.

Ok Shepard, you have to choose, the woman you love? A simple Gunnery Sergeant, whom it is in fact against regs to even be involved with at all? Or your closest living friend? A man whom has supported you since the literal beginning? An effective lieutenant and skilled biotic whom is far more useful to you than the simple grunt that Williams is? Oh but wait, now he just told you to leave him behind and go save Williams, you have permission, but wouldn't that be betraying him in the long run? But so would going against his wishes. Now she's telling you to just get the hell out and not endanger yourself, to just abandon them and let them be overwhelmed. Well you can't abandon them, it's the principle of the thing! But even Kirrahe told you there was no point in endangering yourself and the mission to do so...

Oops, now you just killed your best friend, who died in a conflagration of nueclear fire, so there's not even a body to bury, and you did it all to save the woman you're illegally boinking. Good job ****.
