In the interview they mention the concerns people had with the whole galaxy being destroyed and people starving. They only stated that that's not how they imagined the ending in their eyes.

Most of the interview doesn't sound good, guys. They reiterate the final choice is Shepard's final choice, that they think the biggest problem people had with the ending is "people had a problem letting go of their characters", etc.

The real problem here is the size of the DLC... 2GBs is a LOT for only "clarification"

Ah well. Right, now that it's announced, I won't be back on this thread (well, perhaps once after playing it, for commiserations or celebrations). Till then, good talking to everybody. And no matter what - great game Bioware.

Which is bull. The problem isn't letting go of the characters, it's that the ending doesn't make literal sense. They must have used the word "closure" about 50 times.

In the interview they said that depending on your playthrough, that'll determine how much of the EC you see.  So some of that space could be to cover different scenerios.  So it's not a flat 1.9 GB playthrough.  Still, it is a lot, you're right.

i hope they squeezed in as much content as possible in those 2GB.

they want the original endings to shine more?
you can polish a turd, but it will still be ****.

ah well, if it's good i'll be happy. if not....

then you sure helped me get closure alright. the chapter of my life buying more bioware games is definitely closed.

Come on, you don't say that for a "clarification" DLC

according to the podcast interview, you'll get the extra experience before you attack the cerberus base?
So a lot of cinametics before that or?

"An expansion on the original story" does not sound very IT-friendly

Come on... Full ME3 directory = 10GB. EC=2GB. There's no way we're just talking about clarification... It's just impossible.

The way they said "that's not how we imagined it" when talking about the concerns about the galaxy being destroyed and people starving in the Sol system is code for "we didn't think about this". Nothing gave me the impression that there is some grand reveal of an elaborate theory. The interview was a reiteration of previous statements and it was mostly wrong. They even reiterated that Shepard's story is over and the Catalyst is his final choice but his friends can still live on so that should make us feel better ...

Or... should we be hopeful because the interview was so vague? I mean they literally said no more than what they already have...

I'm thinking the same thing and remaining hopeful. 2 gb is hefty indeed.

I'm reading this

"[SPOILERS] To experience the Extended Cut, load a save game from before the attack on the Cerberus Base and play through to the end of the game. The Extended Cut endings will differ depending on choices made throughout the Mass Effect series, so multiple playthroughs with a variety of different decisions will be required to experience the variety of possibilities offered by the new content."

So if IT is true, they will pick up from that point and maybe the clarification process begins.
