Nope. Guess I'm not a "true believer" though, in the sense. I just like the idea a lot since I think it fits with the themes of the series better than what was presented. If it turns out to be true in the EC, I'll be happy. If not, I'll be just as happy providing that they came to an alternate conclusion that flows just as well.

All lined up on the deck of the Normandy, I see... hmmm....

No matter what BioWare decides to do with the Extended Cut, I want to offer a hearty congrats and a pat on the back to all the folks who participated in this thread.  Weathering the naysayers took steely nerves, and the extrapolation of some of the surface-level "clues" was more than a little intriguing. As someone who considered (considers!) IT as a possibility among a few other interpretations, it was a blast to hear both the story angles people looked at AND the data mining.

Whether the full theory is true or not, digesting this interpretation of the story definitely introduced me to things I really didn't know about the Mass Effect universe.  For that, I'm glad to have participated, no matter how skeptical or enthusiastic I got about it all.  And yeah, there will be some mud-slinging come Tuesday. Don't take it personally, folks.  Just enjoy what BioWare has put together---all nearly 2GB of it.

You wish. By the way, I replied to your constant nagging way back when and you never replied back. So I'll accept that as a concession on your part.

Like I said before, the first confirms Joker flees on Hackett's orders.  Fourth shows what looks to be a memorial on the Normandy  (The crashed Normandy?)

That's not a memorial, that's just a screen without textures loaded.

Ok guys,
moment of truth in four more days.
Either the best ever storyline in the history of gaming,
or the biggest let down of all time.
It's all or nothing.

First picture there confirms Joker was ordered by Hackett to disengage the fleet. Fourth picture looks like a memorial aboard the crashed Normandy.

I mentioned that as a possible solution to the Joker-bailing-out-on-Shepard bit.:)

Where they just happen to all be, looking at the Memorial Wall?

Actually the describtion of the picture says Joker disengages the fight at Earth, not flees it. Possibly he is disengaging to aid Shepard on the ground or something similar, it does nots ay he is fleeing like we see in the ending.

Just pointing this out as there is huge difference between disengaging and fleeing. And we dont know what exactly the orders Hacket gives is, I cant imagine he tells the Normandy to flee as the only ship if taht is truly what is going on.

Doubtful... If they meant what they said about taking feedback into consideration seriously, there's no way they'll flat out disprove IT. What I think will happen is that the extended scenes will hint at IT further, but not necessarily prove or disprove it. Seeing as how such a large portion of the fanbase supports IT, I doubt they would do anything to alienate that many people...

Considering how much content was in the Shadow Broker DLC, (Three combat levels, two new bosses with somewhat different mechanics, a vehicle gameplay sequence that is pretty awesome, as well as dialogue and a homebase in the shadow broker's ship with little video files and information for shepard. And I might be missing stuff.)

This might be interesting. But I'll take Garrus's stance on this.

Though I might be pleasantly surprised. ;)

It's quite possible they're either placing or looking at Shepard's name on the Memorial Wall.

I for one don't care whether IT is true or not. I just want an ending that doesn't suck balls. If the EC shows that the ending choice is real, I will still hate the ending because of how it contradicts so many of the major themes of the series, though.

OR that's just in one of the endings, because he, or she lives in the Red ending, or destroy.

I'm curious...
Mike Gamble said the reason why it's 2GB is technical limitation for Xbox 360 DLC.
Two things about that:
- Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Update 3 (which is also Marketplace content) is 2,4GB.
- They could have split it into two parts to download.

Which could be a possible scene under IT as well. We know Shepard can survive (the breathe scene) so he can also die in the ending. It tells us exactly nothing if it is IT or not.

No I didn't take it as a concession, I was just being a smartass since you said that to me so many times. So don't take it personally. I'm just teasing you.

This is what pic #1 says (I think):

"All Fleets: The Crucible is armed. Disengage and head to the rendezvous point."

Nothing has really changed. Maybe there's a lot of gameplay like in LOTSB, maybe there are only cinematics (ALL ME3 cinematics are 3.2GB, I don't think EC has 70% of all cinematics in the full game... that's highly improbable). Maybe IT is true, maybe not. If it's not... why Bioware is letting us have hope in IT?

No problem Corik.

I will say this, they didn't bring up Shepard's breath scene. Didn't mention it in the interview or the FAQ. They just say "depending on your playthrough, you'll get something a little different". So, there's some positive. And yeah, it's possible that Hackett orders Joker to disengage, or flee, and Joker either does (the ending we have now) or refuses.

Corik is right about the 1.9 GB. Sounds like they could have a huge variation of things that can happen.

And why did they do a poll on it? A poll the majority voted in  favor of IT? Clearly they are aware of it.
