I just read somewhere that the "cut Anderson dialogue" at the ending, isn't actually cut. It's JUST used when Shepard haven't romanced anyone. Could anyone verify this? Because if so, I feel like its a damning evidence that Anderson is an extension, or a part of Shepard in the ending. In the shadowbroker files on Anderson, it becomes apparant that Andersons got a family and children. But at the ending he talks about never having had them. It seems like its Shepard himself, feeling that he's missed out on something at the end of his life. You don't get that conversatoin IF you're in a romance with someone, so Shepard doesnt feel lonely, and therefore you wont get the anderson conversation about family.

Any thoughts on this?

I don't know anything about that dialogue being present if you don't romance anyone, but if that's true it is interesting. My one complaint is that I don't think that the Shadow Broker dossier makes it apparent that Anderson has a an (Ex-)wife and kid. It's pretty ambiguous. It could really easily be his sister, describing her son (his nephew).

If all of these assumptions (The dialogue is present w/ no romance, Anderson actually has a family) are true, then I agree with you the implications strongly favor IT.

I would suggest that you read Mass Effect: Revelations.  It makes it pretty clear that Anderson has an ex-wife and a son.

From the David Anderson wikia, under Mass Effect: Revelations :

"Anderson received the final decree of his divorce from his wife Cynthia, a separation caused by the long absences of his military career."

The same cynthia from shadow broker dossiers.

Good to know.

Has anyone confirmed if this clip actually is in the game with an unromanced Shepard yet?

They're not THAT scaley :). And Liara's adorable/deadly anyway, not very many Asari you meet are. Hell, I hope sometime after the year 2100 we find a thawed out Mass Relay aimed striaght at the homeworld of those beautiful blue ladies. Even though I might be long dead by then a fanboy can hope, eh?

Haha, make that two fanboys that can dream. ... I told my wife the only reason I'd ever leave her would be for an Asari, she agreed to the terms ... so fingers crossed! ;)

Hell Yeah.  She is like a sexy blue goddess.  Cute and deadly all wrapped in one.  I love my women cute, and dangerous.

Right, just caught up on everything posted while I was asleep and I've got a few points.
-I heard the starkid only says "and all the technology you rely on" with low ems and the red explosion does more or less damage based on ems. I think at face value we can say that destroy only kills VIs and bionic legs with low ems.
-I think control really is paragon and destroy really is renegade, but have you ever heard of shoot the dog? Even a fully paragon Shep can choose destroy because sometimes the 'bad' thing to do is also the right thing to do.
-Don't post links to polls here without also posting them in anti-indoc threads or we'll be accused of manipulating the poll.

I'll be honest, I like the drama.

Ok Shepard, you have to choose, the woman you love? A simple Gunnery Sergeant, whom it is in fact against regs to even be involved with at all? Or your closest living friend? A man whom has supported you since the literal beginning? An effective lieutenant and skilled biotic whom is far more useful to you than the simple grunt that Williams is? Oh but wait, now he just told you to leave him behind and go save Williams, you have permission, but wouldn't that be betraying him in the long run? But so would going against his wishes. Now she's telling you to just get the hell out and not endanger yourself, to just abandon them and let them be overwhelmed. Well you can't abandon them, it's the principle of the thing! But even Kirrahe told you there was no point in endangering yourself and the mission to do so...

Oops, now you just killed your best friend, who died in a conflagration of nueclear fire, so there's not even a body to bury, and you did it all to save the woman you're illegally boinking. Good job ****.

It really is a gut-wrenching choice. I don't want either of them to die, and here they are both telling me "Get him/her and get out of here!" While Kaidan does get on my nerves he's still a fellow soldier and part of the crew. I guess when it came right down to it I chase Ash mostly because Kaidan was the first to argue to rescue her instead.

Good to be among like-minded fans ^^. Contemplating doing a portrait of Liara mostly to dedicate to Ali Hillis' birlliant voice acting, but I think that might border on obessision.

Know what I find ironic? Tali (and to an extent, Liara), and Ashley map pretty well to Aeire and Jaheria from Baldur's Gate 2, I chose Aeire in BG2, and apparently that's the "wrong" choice according to popular opinion, and yet when I choose Ash in Mass Effect, apparently I'm "wrong" again.

Collapsing wall of text, take cover!

Well it is indeed a fun choice to be presented if you choose to romance either of them. I never did as I like...well I am atrracted to the exotic lure of the aliens :P Still that Virmira choie is one of the hardest choices in the entire series even if you know about it since it is so sudden.

Still I have 2 saves, one with Kaidan and one with Ashley. Enjoy Ashley more in general, but never my favorites either of them.

Still Kaidan has a piece of dialougue I absolutely love in ME3. It is right after you have been to sanctuary and go talk to Kaidan and he delivers a really amazing piece about his hate towards the Illusive Man:

"Can you feel it, Shepard? Feel the quickening? Illusive Man better say his prayers tonight, because we're coming for him. Murderous ****. Oh yeah. Tide is turning. I can feel it."

I just love Kaidan´s deleivery of that piece.

It's times like this make me feel bad that I haven't gotten around to playing Baldur's Gate 1 or 2. I swear I'm gonna! Just need some time. As for romance choices, whatever you choose is the right choice for the most part. You just need to be careful in ME2, consequences inbound in 3 if you choose anyoen at all :).

Hey Tali's great and all, amazing even, but... I mean c'mon it's Liara! We've been romancing her since before Tali was an option, gotta keep loyalty in mind when we make another choice of course.

Well, we need target practice. ENDORSE MY LAZINESS! DON'T MAKE ME UPDATE MY SCRIPT!

(Speaking of which, taking requests, anything you guys wanna see in said re-write, I do this to keep you lot entertained, so what do you think I should work in? I've already decided on "Coates as a traitor" "Anderson's Indoctrination" More closing credits cards, scripting out Hammer's withdrawal/regoup/advance, scenes with Sword Fleet, Rachni disasemmbling a destroyer, possibly some places for gameplay, want your collective thoughts on this one, and potentially Raistlin's "The Crucible is a Mass Accelerator Cannon" theory.)

A spontaneous dance off between Shepard and Harbinger alaStar Wars kinect.

-.- I will murder you in your sleep. -.-

Haha, you know you want it! - Seriously though... I don't think I have anything constructive to add, I think your script [+ these new amendments] is already covering everything I'd personally like to see. I'd personally enjoy the chance to see some new gameplay but that might be hard to implement considering Shepard appears to be quite banged up.

I personally wouldn’t want to be in control of another squad member either, as I don’t want my last experience with Shepard’s story to be seen through another characters eyes ... except from maybe that of his/her love interest, but I feel it lessens the impact of the story overall. [i’m one of those people that suddenly felt disconnected when we suddenly took control of Joker]

The only way I’ve thought of implementing more gameplay is once Shepard is healed up from his recovery he/she goes on cleanup duty as shown in the Take Back Earth trailer but once again I feel this would weaken your current endings impact.

I know this has probably been discussed but two pieces of evidence are biggest for me in indoc theory.
1) it is shown repeatedly that getting hit with a Reaper laser will murder you in fire and very painful ways (Tuchunka, Rannoch, run towards that beam) yet we are expected to believe that Shepard gets hit and only his armor is fracked up, and in the walk you see soldiers in puddles of blood, something that Reaper lasers don't leave behind.

2)In the breathe ending, Shepard is in full (relatively) undamaged N7 armor instead of post beam armor scraps.

Interesting enough, regardless of Shadow Broker "rekindled romance" Liara, she doesn't hold a grudge against you for romancing someone after, and even so wants to continue your relationship from ME1. Just be careufl who you do romance if anyone in ME2, Tali is probably the most forgiving if you go back to Liara, Jack I don't know (she's calmer in 3 but I dont think that calm), Miranda supposedly might die during the Sancutary exchange if you break up with her regardless of a Loyalty Shield but that's yet to be confirmed I think...sounds awful too.

Sidenote: Main reason I chose Merrill in DA2 now that I think about it, probably because she reminds a lot of ME1 Liara personality-wise.
