I was trying to figure out what it says. That is interesting. To Hackett's knowledge, Shepard is still fumbing around in the Citadel. So either something new happens or Hackett knows the Crucible is armed through other means, i.e., it powers up or something.

I will say this, they didn't bring up Shepard's breath scene. Didn't mention it in the interview or the FAQ. They just say "depending on your playthrough, you'll get something a little different". So, there's some positive. And yeah, it's possible that Hackett orders Joker to disengage, or flee, and Joker either does (the ending we have now) or refuses.
Corik is right about the 1.9 GB. Sounds like they could have a huge variation of things that can happen.
Just to pouint out again. Disengaging is different from outright fleeing. Hacket can be telling Joker to disengage the fight with the Reapers above Earth to go help Shepard or possibly even to follow Harbinger down to delay him or help Shepard in any way possible.
That would be disengaging, but not fleeing.

Doubtful... If they meant what they said about taking feedback into consideration seriously, there's no way they'll flat out disprove IT. What I think will happen is that the extended scenes will hint at IT further, but not necessarily prove or disprove it. Seeing as how such a large portion of the fanbase supports IT, I doubt they would do anything to alienate that many people...
You say "large" portion but the figures for people supporting IT is not known.
That was based on Chris Priestly's poll on how many people believe in IT. Plus, I'm not saying that a majority of the people who played ME3 support IT, that would be impossible to know. I'm just saying that from what I've seen, there are A LOT of people who support IT, on and off BSN.

It's a very interesting sentence. And I'm 99% sure that's what Hackett says. That would point more towards IT than against.

I know, I concede that. I wasn't saying "... Joker to disengage or [in other words] flee". I was saying "Joker to disengage OR flee".

It wasent so much to you, but people thinking that Joker disengaging had to mean the part where we see him flee in the ending. Those two events need not be connected at all as, as i said, disengaging is not necesarily fleeing.

Guys, I've mainly been a lurker on this thread except for a few small contributions, but I have followed it as far back as about page 1500 on the original. I just want to say, to byne in particular for getting the ball rolling in the first place, but to everyone pro or anti IT who has contributed, that what has been done on this thread in the past few months probably has no precedent in terms of gaming community commitment. Whatever the EC reveals, and I am certain it will be amazing, what we ourselves have done is to keep our love for the game going months after it's release, despite any amount of reasons to hate mass effect for the endings. It's been an honour serving with you, gentlemen.

I am by no means a great player. I play gold mostly, but I am not a very dominant team member during gold matches.

OR that's just in one of the endings, because he, or she lives in the Red ending, or destroy.
Oh, I wasn't implying anything regarding Shepard living/dying or indoc, though now that I look at the scene closer it looks like they're standing in front of the memorial wall. We still don't really "know" how long Shepard lives after high EMS destroy, so technically he/she could die regardless, maybe just getting enough time to say goodbye to the crew.
We'll see... I'll be on blackout mode until I finish playing it regardless. The interview doesn't exactly seem "bode well" for IT, simply for the fact that they reiterate the original EC statement. There is no new info. Personally, I think Casey/Walters are doing so to downplay it a bit, so regardless of what we ultimately experience it will be better than if they hype it up. After all... 1.9GB? That's huge. Plenty large enough to speculate on exactly what will be filling that space which is larger than LotSB. So far, I'm willing to say that there's probably going to be a larger amount of dialogue/audio. They've probably reused a lot of texture assets, so I doubt those will take up much of the space. That still leaves a lot of room for full-blown cinematics and rendered cutscenes (which I'd imagine are mostly coding, but I'm not an expert.
Maybe even gameplay........ fingers crossed.

Which is admittedly not very scientific way of establishing the popularity of, not to mention people in those sort of polls are more likely to register their support tha not. They might gesture towards IT, although I'm sure how that would be done without it becoming a massive mess

I really feel no ill will towards you. We just disagree about a video game ending. A disagreement about something that is kinda insignificant doesn't mean either party needs to be hostile.

Double this... there is no middle ground in my book. The EC can be good without the IT, but that still means they expected us to be fine with the original endings. Which is just insulting.

I think there might be a comma at the end of the second sentence.
