OK here is my EC wishlist:

1) Shepard doesn't have to die in every ending, and if she dies she doesn't die alone.
2) Harbinger actually plays a meaningful role.
3) The ending does not contradict the major themes of the series and isn't embarassingly nonsensical.
4) Shep gets to reunite with her friends in at least one ending

That's what I can think of at the moment. For me, #3 is the most important, and it's the one I am least confident about getting.

Bioware said the Red ending is the only one where Shepard lives and if you don;t beleive me then look it up.

That's not a bad list...I am trying to keep myself from doing something simlar...trying to keep myself completely open to what "they" will present (other than IT of course).

Just wanted to pop in and say even if IT isn't true, this thread has given me some freaking amazing stuff to read over and think about for the past three months.  You guys put a lot of time and effort into this and it shows.

I actually think that is theoretically possible.

I had almost 8000m EMS by the end with full MP. 4000 is the minum to get a perfect ending so maybe if you went for everything that gave maximum EMS you could get the best ending without MP.

Well, based on what Jessica said, I think you'll at least get 1 and 4 as long as you chose Destroy.  As for 2 and 3, here's hoping.  I still want a boss fight with Harbinger where I get to use the sync laser to direct every single ship in Sword to fire on his position.  That would be the most epic thing in the entire series.

Though Jessica's tweet regarding this was vague, I'm hoping that the destroy option doesn't kill EDI and the Geth, at least not if you have high enough EMS,  she did mention this inconsistency in a tweet awhile ago, but again, it was more about speculation and it didn't actually confirm anything.

I'm just glad this whole thing's almost over.

It'll be nice to see what the BSN is like outside of this hostile, insulting mode, where even merely discussing an idea gets one labeled psychologically weak or a cultist. Yikes.

This is exactly how i feel right now. I think Arian mentioned there being more to the ending too with his theory on the marketing of ME3 and mp tying into sp, but yeah. I get the feeling something fishy's going on and it's not just because of the fish in my lap. <_<

Especially if the Earth MP pack is true.

I don't think that it is...unless they tweaked some of the asset numbers with an update...I haven't played much MP at all and I think that my highest TMS was like 7200...luckily I have access to the datapad app and boost my GR, so I can get the breath scene...

You should have seen us during the glory days of the Deception Backlash.  We were truly united.  Well, there were a FEW people who didn't hate Deception, but their numbers were around a dozen, probably less.  And the best part, all our hatred was directed at the book, not at each other, so we actually all got along!  I tell you, those were the days.

I found this funny because yesterday I ended ME2. I was replaying all Mass Effect games to get my "perfect, paragon, no romance" canon playthrough. I'm currently on the citadel, just brought poor Kaidan from Mars... I guess I will end ME3 in time for EC

Yeah, I come from a nicer place than the rest of the BSN and the IT thread has been very similar. It'll be nice to go back and not have to argue points with people who equate me with ancient aliens guy because I have a different interpretation of a story. I mean, doing that is all kinds of stupid anyway. Lit. professors would fail students who wrote papers saying they believed interpreting stories was just conspiracy theory bunk.

Hmm.  Just accessed it, and it says 'beacon' instead of 'conduit'.  Interesting.

Wonder what that could mean.
