A lot of things before the Beam are shifty and full of weirdness all the way back to Chronos (Coats broadcasts infrasonic? Wut?) so no, it's not an IT-killer yet.

No, it's not an IT-killer, but I still don't like the idea of it that's implied. I'd rather more exposition AFTER the weirdness to show WHY it was weird, than having everything DURING the weirdness spelled out Barney-style leaving a smaller portion for post-crucible wrap-up.

Look up taht quite again.

It says most of the EC stuff begins right before the beam run, not that most of it takes place before the beam run.

That leaves a margin of right before the beam run until the end credits (and possibly longer) for most of the EC stuff.

You know, I don't believe in gloating, especially when I'm not fully invested in something, but here's hoping that the IT turns out true. People like this deserve the gloating if there is any.

My guess is that the ending mixed literal and non-literal moments, and at least some of what happened in the end took place in Shepard's head as a battle of wills. As I've said before, I think IT is on to something, but is off the mark.

Literalists might get dissapointed to find that nothing has changed to remove all possibility of IT, and that the new ending is just as vague on that point as the old.

Just wanted to pop in and say even if IT isn't true, this thread has given me some freaking amazing stuff to read over and think about for the past three months.  You guys put a lot of time and effort into this and it shows. :)

Also found this interesting.  Apologies if someone already linked it.

"Most content will take place before the beam"

I don't think this bodes well for IT, but I could be wrong...

Missquote, it says "most of the EC content will begin right before the beam run."

Which essentially means the new content will be spread out anywhere between just before the beam and the end credits. That is a good thing.

Actually it says "Most new content begins right before the run to the beacon :)"

Hmm? Before Thessia?

Maybe Shep is under the Temple... fell through the floor... I suspected that a long time ago but there is no telling sign of it.

As much as i loathe IGN, and alot of their comments are just stupid, some are decent and its an interesting enough thing to watch, granted im only 10 minutes in.

can't believe this BS is still going around

"Bioware has already said that the indoctrination theory is not true, and
can't be true based on several facts. The biggest one being that you
are not on earth in that final cut-scene which means the indoctrination
theory can't be true. Although I do agree that it was a great theory and
I personally believe bioware should have just went with it. IMO it
would have made a great ending to the series."

"The
scene where it shows shepard lying in rubble and then taking a breath.
Although alot of people may not have gotten that scene, you can look it
up if you havent seen it. Also bioware has stated at several press
conferences that the indoctrination theory is a great fan made concept
but is not true. "

Okay, that tweet from @masseffect saying "Most new content begins right before the run to the beacon :)" seems to be a mistake. The correct word seems to be "after", not "before".

https://twitter.com/...231570263126016

Question:
"Can @Masseffect or @JessicaMerizan can tell me if I will be OK using my auto-save right before the TIM and Anderson scene for ‪#ME3EC"

Reply:
"yes you can, but there is a bit of content that happens before that too :)"

Yeah, outright lies are required when reality disagrees with people's predispositions.  Sad, isn't it?

What would be nuts/weird would be if they made EVERY ending valid. Synthesis gets their nonsense, Control gets PHENOMINAL COSMIC POWER, and people who picked destroy get Indoc theory. but indoc theory only exists if you picked destroy. Certainly a please all, but I don't know if I could stomach it or not.

I think this thread needs some motivational

"Stand fast, stand strong, stand together." - Hacket

"Hold the line!" - Kirrahee

"But it is not this day! This day we fight!" - Aragorn

"The dreams of those who have fallen, the hopes of those who will follow! Those two sets of dreams, waeved together into a double helix drilling a path towards tommorow!" - Simon

"Just who the hell do you think I am!" - Kamina

Still, it would be an easy fix, I guess. It's like your playthroughs are alternate realities.

Whether it will be better is uncertain. It will, however, certainly not involve any such hogwash as the Indoctrination Delusion.

I'm sure if they had actually said, that, there would be 20+ pages of nothing but trolls posting that all over this forum and basically screaming "IM RIGHT, YOU'RE WRONG, YOU SUCK! LOOK AT HOW AWESOME I AM!"
