I would like to discover a lot of these awesome places we heard about but never got to visit: Orlais, The Black City in The Fade, Weisshaupt Fortress maybe?
Also perhaps learn what Flemeth is really up to.
That would be great.

1. Character creation.
-more hairstyles, add body tattoos, more
unique armor, be able to change body
features, RACE SELECTION, add a new race
even? Make hair move around when you
move, have funky colors for hair-maybe
color sliders. LONG hair, piercings and
jewelry. sexier/ cooler non-armor outfits,
change colors and fabrics.
2. Followers
- Make them cooler! In depth personalities,
more followers to choose from, be able to
kick anyone out of the group any time, All
new companions! only a like/ dislike scale,
no friend/ rival crap. too confusing! talk to
them anytime you want and make them
have a lot more to say. Better, more mature
LI's. all in all, just more unique
personalities. also, have them say more to
each other.
3. NPC's- be able to actually talk to more of
them. have a bunch more random passers-
by that do funny and random things.
maybe they can recognize you and shout
hello to you or you hear them gossiping
abojt you and other things. they should
react if you start a brawl in the middle of
the street.
4. speaking/dialogue-
- No generalizations- no wheel. bring back
the list of responses. select speaking
protag. vs. non- speaking in options menu.
Have a selection of like 4 voices for both
male and female players. great voice acting.
more emotion!!
5. Story
- Apocalyptic. mages vs. templars and
ensuing violence causes wide- spread
destrucion and you are the one who will
save it- or conquer it. survival; make it feel
big and important and dramatic. see the
consequences of your choices. your
journey takes you to many different places,
instead of just one city. more nature. more
adult themes.
6. Gameplay/ combat
- more free- roaming feel. no having to
travel on one path all the time. Bigger text than da2 (not everyone has a big flatscreen)more fun/funny
types of quests, close over-the- shoulder
camera in battle and when roaming
around. you can push a button in battle to
bring up strategy mode, to see the area of
battle to issue commands. free- moving
characters. move and fight with more agility
and fluidity. be able to jump and climb. no
over- large anime- style swords. better
physics. be able to go into more buildings.
shared campground like in da 1, but it
looks different when you go to a different
place. no having to wait to use potions.
swimming, be able to name your weapons,
create your own spells and potions.
7. Graphics
- make cutscenes look like im watching a
movie! make gameplay graphics not far
behind that. darker and shadier. physics
improved, like moving hair, changing
weather, characters and environments
reacting to weather. if it rains, make
everything and everyone look wet. if it
snows, make them shiver and we can see
their breath and snow gathering on the
ground. be able to get dirty. make day and
night go by naturally. run out of breath.
more atmospheric, natural, moving
environment. im dying to see a realistic
forest you can explore! the dalish forest
was ruined when you had to follow set
paths and it wasnt dark and ominous and
lush! blowing grass and trees, flowing
water,etc. make it real as possible. vibrant
colors. darker, grittier, and more adult.
~~~ that's all i can think of for
now...eagerly awaiting da 3. i hope they can
implement some, if not all of our best
ideas out there into the game. we know
what we want. make it awesome, bioware!!!!
Actually I think Skyrim would've been perfect game if only they made story a bit more personal. Protagonist of the story should have some sort of past with his nemesis. Dragonborn has none. That was main fault for me, but everything else is more or less, cool.
2) DA2 was at least 10 hours too short
3) Reusable maps are annoying - I know, you're already on this
4) DA2's choices were a *complete* sham, choices meant absolutely nothing.
I and basically everyone else warned you about this again and again before DA2 was even finished, and no one listened.
DA:O Was my favorite RPG of all time. DA2 isn't even in the top 20.
The history, lore, mythology, and reality of the dichotomy the civilizations of Thedas (humans, elves, dwarves, qunari) and the Darkspawn. I really like the thought of digging how one reflects and impacts the other in what seems like an eternal struggle between good and evil.
Magic, the fade, and gods and demons. I like how these are very real but not understood elements of the world. I would love to see more depth put in this direction,
In general, I hope for a darker and grittier DA3 where the balance between right and wrong and good and evil in obscured, but rest on the knife's edge all the same.
As far as discovery and learning goes, I would like to see more about Flemeth and her interest in major players in the area(The Grey Wardens and the Champion of Kirkwall)
Orlais is often mentioned but we have yet to go there(IIRC), I would like to learn more about Leliana who seems to have a rich history(which preferably would need Felicia Day as Talis)
The history of the elves and their segregation from society, how they "lost" their ancient knowledge their beliefs etc and why the supported Andraste. Who they bel;ieved in before Andraste etc
Other than that I can't really think of anything that I particulary want to discover that isn't linked to exisiting characters of stories.
The question posed was
What kinds of things would you like to discover and learn about the Dragon Age world?
It is not what gameplay mechanics do you want to see, what companions etc.
Sorry if this is coming across as rude but if we can try and keep this organised
In terms of story, I enjoyed surviving a crisis as a concept in DA2, a little more polish and it'd be awesome.
I'd also love if the game offered slightly more class based content. I'd like some kind of dedicated experience to being a berserker, a blood mage or an assassin. Possibly with a varied outcome depending on Paragon/Renegade, or DA's diplomatic, sarcastic or aggressive. (As an idea, a rogue could develop a gang which could operate as a police force/espionage ring/Morag Tong from Morrowing for a city/country if good/diplomatic, an out and out thieves' guild if going neutral or a Dark Brotherhood-esque assassin's guild if going aggressive.
1. Old gods, their nature, Morrigan's god child and old gods relation to the darkspawn.
2. Qunari, their homeland, society etc.
3. Flemeth, and by that I mean discovering what she really is.
- What happened with Morrigan?
- Where and what's the story with the godbaby?
- More story about the Tevinter imperium
- More on the elves and their (lost) culture/cities
- More about the golden/black city
- More about the maker...why did he forsake us while the chantry is still praising him?
- What happened with the heroes from DA1/2
- More Leliana and Alistair
- More lush forests (DA2 looked very treeless to me)
- A better mainstory and not 3 mini stories like in DA3
- More different maps (not 80% cannibalizing content as in DA2...seriously that was cheap...certainly for Bioware...)
- DA1 interface! (I can't express how much I disliked the DA2 interface! It looked too futuristic for a medievil game!)
- Books! I love coming across books and rereading them through my codex!
- Make it so you can change the equipment of all companions when your at home/basecamp like in DA1
- I would like my choices to have impact on the game as it did in DA1. In DA2 all choices always lead to the same ending...
I think if these items are worked on I will buy DA3 (Since DA2 I lost my fanboyism...)
