What a great opportunity to ask))) First I'd prefer to learn more about Starkhaven (yes, Vael's fan). Any small details at least.) Second - I'm not original - Flemeth. And third thing what I want to know is Tevinter Chantry.

Oh, yes another thing that needs to be adressed to as posted by @Berennika:

What happened to Seb Vael and his war to get the throne of Starkhaven back? A lot of story/plot material there.

Cliffhanger in DA2!!!! Do not want them if not answered............

What kinds of things would you like to discover and learn about the Dragon Age world?
- What is Flemeth.
- What are Flemeth's motivations.
- Who are the Archdemons/Old Gods.
- What happened to Morrigan and her child.
- Where is the Warden, what happened to him/her.
- Where is Hawke, what happened to him/her.

Heh, I've had sleep, perhaps I'll make a tiny bit more sense......

Some of the things I liked in the first was being able to choose the race of character to play and in the second the improved ability to tailor your character's looks - i.e. in the first, you could not change the eye color it just stayed black and was fixed in the second. I also liked the ability to craft runes and the abilities specializations. I did like the look of the abilities wheel in the second too. Hm, perhaps even after you finished the game, maybe be able to go back to those places to visit and see them after the epilouge?

The maps for when traveling, I understood since you have to work with limited space perimeters, but sometimes those closed off space with doorways you can't access at all was like a tease, I'd always wonder, what's down that way? *lol* If the rooms or caverns do already exist there, why not just make them available for exploration? Well, once an area is opened after a quest. For houses, like fenris' for example, as long as the person's still in that chapter of the story, they could go back for treasure they missed (the side rooms that are forever closed afterwards). Of course I don't know anything about programming, that might be impossible for some reason I know nothing of.

Hm, I still think it'd be neat to be able to explore multi countries all across Thedas, but I also think it'd be nice to know the name of the world Thedas is apart of and what other lands there are too with possible different races of peoples or cultures at the very least - not to mention wildlife. :D

While I do like the idea of multi-player, please don't make it an absolute requisite to play on line, like they do in Everquest 2, it'd be nice to have the choice to play singularly - though maybe expand the character group to 5 or 6? Again, I don't know how that works.

It'd also be neat to find out about how the first blight truly started - to experience it as a player to see how the actual event occurring maybe differed from how it's story changed over the centuries. Hm, same thing for both Andraste's time and the downfall of Arlathan. (sp?)

Maybe find out what happens to the Architect and his plans? Also if Corypheus really did possess Larius/Janeka? Would he ever seek out the Architect if he did and what would happen?

Of course these are just my vague ideas because I've an incessant curiousity for the 'what ifs' and 'what happens next'. :) Flemmeth did say a great change is coming and I'd like to witness that change. That and maybe Thedas a few hundred years after the DA2 events. ;)

I'd really like to see more of the Anderfels and Rivain. Plus the southern regions of Thedas are very intriguing to me, I'd love to see a past-present protagonist venture into the Korcari Wilds on a quest, of some sort. I'd love to see what;s down there :)

I actually have had enough of magic for a while, there was so much of it and the Chantry in DA2 and Thedas is so large, it seems a shame to limit yourselves to just looking at one aspect of that world, and a very marginalised aspect at that.

But all in all, I mind not what content (which countries, which cultures) is included. There's plenty of history and ideas to delve into and I trust that you can pull a good story together without our input in this.

However, as far as the DA experience goes I agree with Minipulator that DA-O was my favourite RPG, favourite *game* even, of all time and DA2 doesn't make the list I'm afraid.

The main reason, is the depth of the story, the depth of the characters, and the immersion. The Warden was very personal, and the choices made affected the game is such a vital way. This is what makes the game so special and I think is the true heart of the DA experience. The choices in DA2 felt very superficial, as do the characters. The characters all had potential but I honestly love the DA-O characters (like in a love my friends & family kind of way), whereas the DA2 characters mostly passed me by. Kind of meh.
Personally, I prefer the slower pace of DA-O and the voiceless PC. It felt more like a blank template that you could imprint your idea of your own character onto.

Ideally, I would see a new PC, a new location with all new (or mostly new) characters. I find it unlikely (and it takes away from the immersion) when we bump into random friends we've seen before, though reference, such as in found books or in overheard conversation can be fun.

I would prefer to remove the dialogue wheel (and definitely remove the emotion icons, it's too hand-holdy).

I would like multiple locations. Kirkwall was rather claustrophobic. Be good to spread your wings a bit, certainly country wide. And yes the re-using of maps is a no-no, but you're on that :)

Most important imo is to ensure that the character (especially companion) backstories are deep, well-thought out and their responses and interaction with the PC believable. (I'm sorry but I found Anders - in DA2, not DA:A - difficult to believe. For a paranoid mage he was very quick to share his big, bad secrets with me). So...investment in three-dimensional characters and pulling their stories out gradually, having to earn their trust (if you choose to), and if you don't earn it then you don't get their whole story...that sort of thing.

And finally ***please NO multiplayer***! The introduction of multiplayer, and its impact in the single-player story, was a detriment to my enjoyment of ME3 and if there *must* be a multiplayer option please please please don't make any campaign gameplay dependent on your multiplayer achievements!

I think when it comes to lore, I would like to see some more personal responses about the different regions. Perhaps some characters who have something to say about a particular region. (be it factually accurate, or a distorted picture of their own experience) I remember that Leliana had some interesting things to say about Orlais and the personal accounts from Zevran about Antiva (how the smell of leather reminded him of home and his musings about the political system) just felt right; rather than the codex entry and the Genitivi style summaries, this lent the areas a bit of the human touch. Perhaps also some NPC's who can contribute something about the workings of their own sphere of influence - I know this all sounds a little dry, but I personally would prefer the little questions answered and hearing the opinions of various people about places rather than the more factual codex entries.

I'd also like a little mystery to remain with regard to many things. I like the fact that through Corypheus we got a version of what may have happened in the Black City, without ever really learning the truth of it. Whilst answers are all fine and well, I think a little mystery is sometimes better and although having some opinions on certain things and perhaps discovering new information about certain events would be interesting, I would personally be more than happy for certain elements of Dragon Age lore to remain subject to myth and dubious interpretation forever.

I'd like to know more about Flemeth - her story is definetly open.
Also I'm wondering what happened to Morrigan and the child.
Whether Alistair will see his descendant? (if he was a participant in the ritual)
What happened to all companions from Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 - like if you decided to give Fenris back to Danarius or if you left Isabela to qunari.
Cullen story - where is he from, why he joined templars...?

Like to visit the Tevinter Imperium.
I'd like to discover some long lost griffons. I adored the convo with Wynne where my warden just badgered her relentlessly about them.

I would like to uncover the secrets of ancient, lost magic, aid in discovery new uses of magic, and explore the history of the elves- delving into their language and culture. I want to nearn exactly what it means to be a part of those ncient societies, and the maic that was used there.
Also, I would like serious involvement with my character from previous games, including their decisions and everything they have done, possible children, etcetera. I feel immensely pleased when I know the hard work in earlier gaes has paid off. And also, what happened with flemeth? My character chose to go with Morrigan, will that affect anything? What about sandal, will dwarves be able to use magic? See the theme? I want to see the magic that made Dragon Age what it is.

I'd like to see the formation of the Grey Wardens, The Rise and Fall of Tevinter, the saga of Andraste (could be a linear quest) and more than everything, I'd like to know what happened to the Warden.

The Black City, the Tevinter Imperium, and whether or not they really did corrupt heaven and create the Darkspawn. I like messy religious-themed stories like that (like Morrowind) and was curious about these things way back in DA:O. It doesn't have to be about changing those things, but if a story revolved around discovering the mystery of what really happened with all that, I'd love it.

I would love to hear more about other witches of the wilds, besides the ones that have already been introduced in the series. I would enjoy learning more about the Chasind society, and the things going on beyond the Kocari Wilds. Another thing would be to discover more about the Rivani culture.

Well, if you want to make me happy, feature some of the more interesting races as playable party people. I mean, it's depressing. Look at how great Mass Effect is - geth, krogan, salarians, turians, and so on, and so on. Whereas Dragon Age has always been human, human, human, human-like, human-like, oh and a dog. But the thing is is that the most interesting writing you've done in years (years!) was Mass Effect 2. A lot of that is because you write exotic races better than you write humans. It's hard to make a human as interesting as, say, a prothean, or a krogan, or a geth.

If you really want to get in my good books, personally, just give us werewolves.

Aside from that, try and stay away from black and white ideals, but also throw the bloody status quo out of the window. Please. Dragon Age is so, so safe. You didn't have any of the tough choices or grey areas that Mass Effect had, it was boring by comparison. It was just a typical fantasy. It was dullsville. Stop chasing Tolkien, chase Pratchett instead, he's a far more creative writer, frankly. I'm sick of this... genre purist nonsense. Hell, throw some technology in there, even. Have FUN with it.

Your world is boring as is. This is a huge problem. I mean, let me just pull one example out of my arse that I've played recently: Xenoblade Chronicles. It's a world that sprung up on the body of an ancient mechanical being that had become dormant. The caverns and dungeons were actually delving into the body of this titan. This is the stuff of wonder and dreams, this is the kind of thing that stays with you after you've finished playing.

Your depressing, angsty, melodramatic, grimdark world NEEDS whimsy and wonder to offset it. Otherwise it's just boring. It's as boring as an angsty, goth teenager. There's nothing compelling there, not intellectually or emotionally. And I'm telling you this because you actually made me care about you as a developer because of Mass Effect 2 (and to a lesser extent, Mass Effect 3). I consider the moment with Legion in Mass Effect 3 (you know the one) to be one of the better and one of the most emotionally effecting moments in the history of RPGs.

You CAN do interesting, damn it. So take off the shackles. That's what you need to do. Those shackles? That grimdark, epic reality BS? Throw it off. Let your writers and artists just do whatever comes to them, and make it all fit. Think Discworld, think Guild Wars 2, think Mask of the Betrayer. Think stuff that actually HAS an impact, stuff that remains with you. The primary problem with the Dragon Age franchise is that it plays it safe to the point where nothing stands out. Nothing is memorable.

I've covered a lot of what else I want to say here:

http://www.guildwars...gan's-a-dog/30/

If you want to read that, Bioware guys... please do.

I know that a lot of genre purists are going to spring up and argue with me, but I don't care. I'm not going to argue back. You're asking for opinions, so these are my opinions, and it was basically the genre purism and the status quo that killed Dragon Age prematurely. Stop playing it safe. Be crazy. Be incredible. Be risky. Be magnificent. Stop being so afraid.

Mass Effect 2 proved that you have the stuff. So use it.

What is happening with the characters in DAO and DA2.
What is in the space between and around the settings of DAO and DA2.
What are the evolving political/religious/economic/social issues in Ferelden and the Free Marches.
What does Antiva look like, what does Trevinter look like etc.
Why are Hawke and the Warden missing.
What is the Fade really.

Overall I just want to see what the world has to offer. So much lore exists that I would love to see what else there is to learn. So of the things I would love to see would be, Orlais political game in action. I want to see the Qunari culture in a non combat role.

Honestly, I'm not even sure anymore, Mr. Priestly. I liked Dragon Age Origins and Awakening, but elements of it were bad. Then, Dragon Age 2 came, and it felt more like an action game and much LESS like a RPG...which is bad. I think if there was anything I'd prefer it would be making it with the strengths of both and the weaknesses of neither. As far as things I'd like to see in game, how about Morrigan? We got an encounter with Flemeth, but not Morrigan. Maybe we could assist in a final conflict between Mother and Daughter. I feel like that'd be great. Also, Hawke was a decent character, but (s)he was very limited. Very well designed, however....for the most part. I want to see DA2 being imported into DA3, but this time your choices actually show consequence. All we got last time was references and a short reunion with Allistair, although it didn't look like him. So, do the import system from 1 & 2 into 3 the way you did Mass Effect. That would make it a thousand times better, just by itself.

Go back to more tactical combat and a more non-linear narrative. Save that stuff for JE2. Also, bring back item descriptions and duel wielding for warriors as well as a one sword or dagger and no shield fighting style for warriors and rogues. Also, bring back skills and only give one stat requirement for items instead of two.

Dragon Age: Origins was my first real RPG experience and i loved it.
But i was very disappointed by Dragon Age 2...on thing was the combat, which felt like a bad hacknslash. But i like the idea of having hacknslash gameplay, but i think it needs to be more like The Witcher 2, and ofcourse the borring level design, it was very much the same, you could not go into another cave without feeling: "Ive been her before"
And yes i would like a open world, but thats to much to ask for, so i really want a huge story like the original, and that i can play as a Elf and a Dwarf.
Thats it :)

I totally second what @Tramella1 said about seeing the non-martial side of Qunari culture. I found the Qunari to be the more interesting part of DA2, and with Tallis in MotA, for example, I was left wondering what the relationship between Kossith Qunari and elven/human/Dwarven Qunari is.

I disagree.  I like gritty realism.
