Dragon Age 2 was a truly mediocre game and probably the worst game that ive played from Bioware. Go back to the roots, more lika Dragon Age 1. Look what you guys did well with your earlier games.

This is what I love about DA:O:

Exploration and an amazing journey. My favourite part was being able to travel to places like the Dwarven city which had it's own unique culture and get involved in the politics there, amongst it's distinct architecture. Next I would journey to green forests inhabited by wood elves, and ancient ruins which are the home of werewolves.

All these places had a lot of character, a lot of story, and I always felt like I was discovering something. This was why I was slightly disappointed with DA2 (even though things like the combat were fantastic), because kirkwall was a great setting but it never changed.

So I would like to learn more about wood elves, by going to the woods and following an amazing story and seeing areas with real character. I'd like to learn more about dwarves and their history, through completing a quest in a rich, dwarven environment! Or why not more races, or a different group of humans with a distinct culture, anything! With a little of that Bioware story magic I'd love it :)

I also would like to learn more about blood mages, how they came about etc. I also enjoyed, in both games, the companion character who turned to blood magic. I'd like to find out the story of an actual evil blood mage, because those two were still good at heart.

I don't know if it was mentioned already, but i'm very interested in what exactly happened to cause the extinction of the griffons, or if they are indeed really extinct, i'm all for the inclusion of griffons or mounts in general, but as that is sadly not going to happen because the world is too small( i.e. not open-world) i'll just settle for more info, oh and i'd definetly like to hear more about the specifics of the Grand Tournament and the other larger Free Marches cities, including their actual territory, because that's really sketchy, the national borders aswell come to think of it, clear definition owuld be nice  :)

I suppose the big thing is what happened to Morrigan and her "child"? Also, the ending of DA2 opened up to a revolution which I found quite exciting (and to be honest, should have happened sooner)

Adventure and exploration was always a big plus from the first game. This was somewhat diminished in the second game when you were limited to a few urban areas. I liked going to the ancient places, green forest places, places with colour and life. While many argue that DA1 had more scenic areas, they were not bustling with life. I'd like to know that there are animals living in these areas and not just bears and wolves who'll attack on sight. Also, give the areas some air. It'd be nice to see the trees sway, hair ripple, smoke billow and flags flutter.

There were some great characters in the series, some I'd love to see again are Anders/Justice, Alister, Morrigan, Merrill, Varric and Shale. They would be my ideal team, but I'd love to have some new companions too. Also, some variety in body shapes. The sticking out chests that made an appearance in DA2 just looked unnatural to both female and male characters. It'd be nice to have a podgy character every once in a while (there is attractiveness in these people, maybe even more so than the huge breasts, tiny waist and huge hips combo).

So yes, that's my priorities really. More exotic and ancient areas filled with life and the excellent characters that have appeared and some new companions too. Other than that, I can't tell you guys what to do. You've got a set of excellent writers and I have every faith in them to create a story that's engaging and honest.

I really like to know about dragons: what they are, where they came from and what kind of relationships between them.

Chiefly, as much as I like "and the Hero vanishes and is ne'er heard from again" endings, I would like to know more about where the Warden (if he went with Morrigan into the eluvian) and Morrigan went, what is to become of that magic child, more about Hawke post DA2, what the deal is with the Primeval Thiag and the red lyrium, and maybe more about Flemeth and the Architect.

Geographically, I am interested in Tevinter, but not so interested in Orlais or Antiva. I've seen enough of Orlais and Antiva to get the general gist, but not enough about Tevinter to get a real sense of what it is like to live there. For obvious reasons (I always advocated for the freedom of mages), I want to know more about the effects of the mage uprising, and Tevinter seems to be in a prime position to respond to the Chantry's response (the Divine March).

Actually, all signs have been pointing to Tevinter since that seems the most likely place to get answers for the questions I am interested in -- red lyrium, eluvians, magic childen, Shale, Wrynn, etc. I'm hoping I'm right.

Also hoping you ask us about the gameplay next. I have a lot I want to say about that since I found DA2's gameplay lacklustre in comparison to DAO's.

Cheers!

I enjoyed the first Dragon Age immensely. And then I never bothered to pick up Dragon Age II.

The reason? I followed the development process. I realized you were going in completely different directions with both the gameplay and the story/main character experience. And I thought I'd wait to see what the reviews revealed, before picking it up (which is something I don't usually do with Bioware sequels).

So if you're asking what I want out of a third Dragon Age? It's the elimination of a canned character POV (in favor of a silent character who's woefully bland and unexpressive, but still, ultimately, MINE) as well as a return to the more old-school, tactical gameplay of the original game.

I trust you, for the most part, with the story. It's the gameplay that's my concern.

Regards,
Corporate Dog

Greetings Chris. I will leave a short list of things:

- Morrigan: i would like to keep on the story of Morrigan and her son. The witch of the wilds has been by far my favourite character in all Dragon Age series. I love her duality, and her concept about "survive a new day is a victory for me".  She values every second as a triumph. Also, she is very distrustful with unknown people, but i am sure she will die for the warden. I personally agree with that kind of loyalty: if you earn my trust and friendship, i  will die for you. I wouldn´t like to seem a fool, but i have learned many things of this, and even applied to my life and my love ones. The argumental line of Morrigan and Flemeth is really great.

- Antivan Crows training: I was also very intrigued about this preparation, in how they take them where they are childs, how cruel they are between them and those kind of stuff.

p.d.: this kind of chat and conversations with fans is a very positive initiative. Im sure i will buy Dragon Age 3. Keep on the good work.

I would love to hear more about the previous blights :D It lent the first game so much *texture* when we got snippets of information like the archdemon who was slain at Ayesleigh, etc. I think the First Blight has been covered reasonably well during the account of the formation of the Grey Wardens at Weisshaupt fortress. If the next game is set in Orlais, then maybe the game lore could tell you more about previous blights that ravaged that country? The heroes of those times, etc. I spent so many hours reading just reading codex entries in the first game, and I think that giving the game depth in lore definitely helps with the player feeling immersed and invested in the game world. My 2 cents!

Big sidquests in the style of side stories that don't necessarily tie in with the main story. Different approaches for the main quest dependent on class and choice of means (see BG2). Less grindy combat, more variety in approaches, and perhaps a few areas with really lots of enemies but not as the standard (good timing with the quests and stories so that it doesn't run itself dry). Some serious consequences of Flemeth and Morrigan in the world. A rehaul for the elves, making them less Avatar-ripoffs and clichéd and more authentic. More dramatic, weighty storytelling in the style of the DA:O prologue battle.

I'm tempted to say "I want to discover what Flemeth has been planning" but I'm not entirely sure that's what the question is aiming at. If we're talking about history and culture, my vote goes to learning more about Orlais and/or Antiva.

Commendable initiative, Bioware. Things I'd like to see in future main Dragon Age titles:

1. class Specializations to feel more like their own thing and less of an extension of the given class(less like class specializations, I guess.) When I choose a class specialization, I've always hoped for the idea that it would change the entire flavor of that class, and not simply grant me a set of new abilities. A way of solving this, perhaps, would be to change the effects or look of normal class spells if you have chosen a certain class spec. For example, a Warrior's whirlwind ability would change color or effect if you have chosen to be a reaver or a templar. Akin to the diablo 3 rune system, I suppose.

2. The story keeping the same main villain for the entire game. DA2 introduced one(or two) very late into the proceedings, and suffered for it. For me, DA2 might as well have ended after the death of the Qunari leader. The conflict with the leaders of the templars or mages(their names elude me) and their becoming your enemy, felt tacked on. Dragon Age: Origins, while the main villain may have been the Archdemon(or, perhaps more generally, the Darkspawn) or Loghain, they were both rarely seen throughout the game and did not neccesarily feel like villains, i.e. people to be stopped. They felt more like problems to be solved in order to go on and complete the game.

3. A mix between the two story structures introduced in the last games. Dragon Age : Origins had your typical Bioware structure, i.e. three-five locations where the main quest takes you, and then a final location where the story ends. DA had one location, and set a number of years in that location. What would be amazing would be to have a set number of different locations, and have them all evolve throughout the years. And to have that evolution be really felt and noticeable to be paramount, as it is something I felt was missing from DA2. I always knew time had passed, but the only way I knew was because I was being told.

4. Do not revert back to Dragon Age : Origins style and feel of combat. IF you must make some concessions, then be sure to keep Dragon Age 2's more frenzied and impactful style. I do not intend to say that tactics should not be important, I mean only to say that DA2 was way more fun in how combat looked and felt.

All right, that's all of the top of my head, may your future be bright and induce less fan outrage, Bioware.

I really enjoyed the Orzammar segment of DA:O, so I'd love to see it return in a future game, or perhaps we could see Kal-Sharok as it would be really interesting to see how the only other surviving thaig is, and how dwarven culture has developed there after being in isolation for so long.

A few other things on my wish-list would be more travelling to new countries in general - I'd love to see all of Thedas and return to Fereldan, bigger side-quests and more wiggle-room for players to develop their own character (don't get me wrong, I loved my snarky fem!Hawke, but she felt like a fully developed character already and customization felt superficial).

The thing that would really make or break the game for me though would be having lots of big, old school-RPG style choices to make throughout the plot. If you can create your own unique story each time you play that makes a game a classic, because of the re-play value that gives it but also because the player gets to input so much into the story that they really become immersed in the story.

Edit: Oh and I would also personally prefer seeing exactly what my character will say but not hearing it over clicking and emote-y thing and hearing the line any day. But that one's just personal preferance, I've still enjoyed your games with dialogue wheels... perhaps seeing the exactly line followed by the character saying it would be a happy medium for people who do/don't like dialgoue wheels?

When I think of France, which Orlais is heavily based upon, I also think of England, in this case Ferelden(-ish). Medieval France and England had alot to do with eachother, with Normandy and Aquitane often in English hands and whatnot, and we already have some inspiration from that though in the opposite direction, with Orlais invading Ferelden - I think it would be cool to explore how Orlesians would react if Ferelden invaded their country midst the huge mage vs templar war.

As far as I remember Ferelden only has one Circle whereas that is quite little compared to the rest of the world, implying that they would have less trouble with the war and thus be stronger because of it. What if an opportunistic ruler has come to power in the 10-15 years between DA1 and DA3 who wants to strike back at Orlais for what happened in the past and sees Orlais' war on mages (as Orlais quite literally houses the pope, or popette rather) as the perfect opportunity. I liked the way politics playing a huge role in DA1 and I'd like to see more of that.

Oh and I'll echo qunari, Tevinter etc from all the previous posters. The Qunari are probably the most interesting people in the Dragon Age universe but I don't harbor much hopes of seeing much of them in Orlais which I guess is where we are going.

And dragons haven't had much of a place in Dragon Age yet, which is quite ironic. We need to learn more about them, like why and how they are coming back now.

What I'd like to see brought back to the Dragon Age seriers is the more realism of Origins. DA2 took it more to a cartonish over the top gameplay which did not go well with me.
In short Combat more like Dragon Age Origins.

When it comes to settings I'd say any of the unexplored places mentioned in the previous games would be awesome.

Of course more of Morrigan and Flemeth but I assume Flemeth will be in there somehow.

about the lyrium warriors. Is Fenris the only one or are there more such warriors? What was the purpose of such an experiment - merely a bodyguard or finding out if an army of warriors of such skills can be created to defeat the qunari.
