Sorry, I should have written this earlier:

FRIENDS of RED JENNY.

I am dying to find out who these people are. When the woman in the Hanged Man thanks Hawke on behalf of the Friends of Red Jenny, I was thrilled and frustrated (in a good way) and thrillingly frustrated at the reappearance of the completely mysterious group.

I would like to see the return of the Arcane Warrior Tank
Mage from DA:O in DA3.

I would also like to learn more about the first Grey
Wardens,
the first Blight, the origins of the elf Arcane Warrior, elves before
the human/elf war, and past Kings of Ferelden in a graphic novel .

To be honest, i was upset when i played in second part of DA. It looks just like unuseful DLC. I miss Origins.. I need more actions, not just walk around the town and do some work. More darkspawns, and less spiders. :D And please, return us old DA. I mean: old interface in Origins, more old characters from Origins, and please back tactical mode from Origins(I have arachnophobia, so please, RETURN THAT! PLEASE!). Graphics can be the same, like in second DA, or better. And more new locations.. And oppotunity from Origins when you can choose a race of your character...
A big fan of DA, Faith from Ukraine...

1. Keep the a huge chunk of the art-direction.

Really, the best part of the DA2 was the art-direction. The slick and clean style of characters was fantastic, especially on the characters. I really liked the armor-design. The best thing about the art-direction for me personally is that it helped set DA apart from other Tolkien inspired RPG's. That was my biggest complaint about Origins. It had no personality. I loved the spiky armor, i loved the new design for the Qunari (Pity there was no way to recruit one of them) and i loved the way Hawke looked.

I didn't like how all the mages had to wear robes again. That really pissed me off to be honest. I choose the mage because i thought this game would let me wear anything but robes. Why give Hawke a bad-ass armor at the end and not in between? People who played class or knight had a huge variety of different armor and the all looked nice. Don't do that again here, if you're going to use clothes, instead of body armor, why not take some inspiration from the way Force Unleashed did it? Many ways to wear robes. If you're going to do that, best you should implement some fluid animation for it too.

I didn't like the oversexualization of the female characters. With grannies having C-sized ******. That was a little bit too much, you really need to tone that down, you over did in Mass Effect and you shouldn't continue down this road.

And then of course there is the level-design. We all know you used the levels way too many times, but i also think that were was too little difference between the levels.

Dragon Age could also use some of the more current visual-styles like proper lens flare, bokeh-effect, etc.

2. Keep the combat.

I REALLY loved the new combat system. It is the #1 reason i'm not going back to Origins. It's flashy and fast, especially as a mage. It needed more depth though and the last thing i want to hear in Dragon Age 3 is "THERE IS MORE OF THEM!"

3. Keep the skill-tree.

Just keep it. It makes leveling up so much more fun, as does using the skills.

4. Better story, better dialogs and more consequences.

I was really looking forward to the story of DA2, the whole premise sounded very interesting. I really liked how you weren't going to save the world, you weren't there to be the hero of the world, but rather the hero of your city.

I'm not going to say more about the dialogs and the story, as most people have already criticized it enough, with much more depth than I.

I'm going to say something about the consequences though. What i REALLY didn't like is how everybody who used blood-magic turned insane, sooner or later. Bloodmagic should be the worst thing in the world. So why wasn't there even a little bit of criticism when i used it for the first time? No one mentioned it. Never. I also missed the chance to use the rip-open action that was used by Hawke in the first cutscene.

Oh and definitely keep the dialog tree, with more choices that is.

5. Take more time.

We probably all know that most of what went wrong with DA2 went wrong because you had too little time. Take more time on the project. I know this isn't enterialy up to you, but we know you need it, or it's going to be DA2 all over again.

1) More about the Kossith, why did they originally come to Thedas and why there has been no ships coming from their land of origin? Are there more continents on Dragon Age-world than Thedas and the one were Kossith come from?

2) More information about Kal Sharok, how it differs from Orzammar and more about Primeval Thaig and red lyrium.

3) The second sin and Black City, the magisters who became the first darkspawn.

4) More about Flemeth, Morrigan, Eluvian and the God child.

I'm guessing this is more meant to refer to setting elements, rather than story, but this one is important enough to me that I'm going to say it anyway:

* I REALLY want to know what's happened to the Warden and Hawke.  Similarly, I want to know how they got separated from their respective companions.

As far as things more in line with what you're probably looking for:

* I would love to know where the Qunari come from.  It's strongly implied in the lore that they originate from someplace much further away than Par Vollen.  Are they outcasts from some larger society of horned giants on another continent?  Or perhaps survivors of some great cataclysm of their own in a far-distant land, one that served as the impetus for the creation of the Qun?

* It'd be interesting to learn more about the origins and nature of the Darkspawn, particularly from an unbiased perspective.  Almost everything we know of them now is heavily couched in religious dogma, and there's an implication to me that the real truth is more complicated.  We got some hints of it in the Legacy DLC, and Awakening, but I'd like to see that developed more.

* I really want to know what the deal is with Morrigan, Flemeth, and so forth.  I realize that Morrigan performing the Dark Ritual at the end of the last Blight is only semi-canon, but I'm sure you can come up with a way to adjust for that and still resolve that story thread.

* I don't expect this for DA3, but it'd be really cool to have something in the future, whether a future game or tie-in media (the latter is probably better for your purposes), that gives first-hand accountings of some of the historical events of the setting, like the old Tevinter Imperium's war with the Elvhenen, or Andraste's Exalted March.  All the accounts of those events we have now are heavily colored by the bias of later people, and it would be interesting to see how they played out without all that baggage.

Basically, go back to the huge world that was DA:O. It doesn't really matter if your character talks or not, but let us customize him (race, etc...). The mage combat animations in DAII were awesome and quite frankly 1 of the only 2 good things in that game (besides better graphics altogether). If you make it open world, that would be great. I really enjoyed the storytelling in DAII, but the story in itself was lacking. I thought it was too small scale.

I loved both DA:O and DAII equally, but for different reasons (Origins for it's sweeping story, Rise to Power for its focus on the main character and how the Templar/Mage war gets started). What I'd like to see imported from them, or fixed, in DAIII follows.

1. COMPANIONS: To me, they made the game, in both games. Not just the romances (which I adored), but the friendships, the rivalries, the party banter. I wished Hawke would step into the banter with a quirky comment or two more than once, and the few times she took part tickled me. I had no problems with the friendship/rivalry bar, especially having it lock into place when it reached its max. But, I think things like using blood magic should impact that bar. Having Fenris and Anders, who HATED blood magic, not reacting at all when Hawke used it (my husband played a blood mage, I didn't, and he commented on this) made absolutely no sense. I understand from dev posts that blood magic was added after companion dialog had already been recorded, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it felt off.

2. ARMOR: I wished many a time I could put some of the cool DLC armor on, oh, Aveline or Isabella. While I liked the "iconic" looks (and ADORED the "romance" touch that let me know I was on the right track, please keep that), it got tiresome having to sell everything my Hawke couldn't wear. So much cool stuff, gone! (Also, I think selling the DLC armor for a copper? Bad. Very bad.) However, the same/same armor of Origins was, frankly, boring. I'm glad the concept art shows that isn't the way you're going this time. Also, take a look at what some of the Modders have done. Some of those armors are GORGEOUS, and part of the fun for me is seeing something that is visually stunning, even if it's a breastplate.

3. CONVERSATION WHEEL: I LOVED it. I loved that I could shape my Hawke's personality by choosing to be angelic, snarky or straight-forward, and that it would be reflected in how she spoke even when I wasn't using those options (Gallows speech, anyone?) And I loved having a protagonist that spoke. What I'd like to see is those conversations opened up more, like DA:O, and having them affect the friendship/rivalry like they did in DA:O. I would also like to see actual numbers, like DA:O, as I often couldn't quite tell if my rivalry with, say, Fenris was maxed out or not until I got the last Questioning Beliefs quest. I missed Merrill's last QB quest more than once because I thought I was closer to maxing that bar out than I really was. At the very least, let the "arrows" be a little more readable, maybe with a percentage listed if real numbers are no longer feasible. When the bar hits 100%, you know you've maxed out.

4. ANIMATION: I really don't want to go back to watching my mage wield the Pixie Stick of Doom, but I'm not sure making her a kung fu fighter was better. Is there a happy medium? If not, I'd gladly take kung fu over pew pew any day. (And I must say, one of my favorite mage animations from DAII is Cone of Cold.)

5. ROMANCE: The fact that all of the LI's in DAII were bi didn't bother me one bit. I preferred that, as when I played a male character in Origins I wouldn't have minded the opportunity to romance Alistair. So having that option in DAII was nice. Having said that, the romances in DA:O seemed... less rushed? Possibly because you were given more dialog options with the companions, thus it seemed you built the romance over time. As someone who both reads and writes romance, the flow of the Origins romances was slightly better, as were the love scenes, but the voiced Hawke and the ability to love whomever you wished was better for me in DAII. As for the option of a dwarf LI? Not my cup of tea (I seem to prefer elves), but having it included as an option for those who would have loved to love on Varric seems like a good idea to me.

6. ENVIRONMENT: God, no more recycled dungeons, but I think that's already been shouted loudly enough. More Legacy and MotA style dungeons, with the rich environment and story, would be wonderful. Would love to revisit Orzammar, to see it done in the new style, or Khal Sharok, or check out Elven ruins looking for who knows what. Visit Tevinter, or Antiva, or Rivain, or even more of the Free Marches. Return to Fereldan, watch Alistair be a king, or hate on Anora some more (man, I despised her). Moving from place to place, city to city, perhaps having dialog options open up with your companions while on a boat to Rivain... that would be so cool. If we do travel by boat from place to place, that boat could be the new party camp, allowing us to explore the NPCs a la Origins without distracting from the main story.

7. IMPORT BUGS: One of the most oddly disappointing things for me in DAII was seeing my Zevran hitting on everything that moved, knowing my Warden was at home, waiting for him and being faithful. It was disappointing, to say the least. Remember, we invest a lot in our DA companions, so refusing to fix a bug like that makes us a bit more leery of starting a romance. It's a simple fix that could easily be taken care of in a patch, yet it never was. Now, thanks to a mod, my Zevran thinks my Warden is dead. Hey, at least he's not off schtupping Isabella, right? *headdesk* If my Fenris romance import has him hating me, or worse: loving Isabella, I'm going to be extremely disappointed.

11. STORYLINE: While I loved having the focus on Hawke, a lot of people were right about one thing. It felt like a prequel, especially after the epic DA:O storyline. If you really are doing the Mage/Templar war, something that will reshape Thedas as we know it? Then the story needs to be grand, sweeping. Our decisions should impact things, even if its only "who sits on the throne, Alistair or Anora?" For instance, Hawke killed the Arishok. What kind of impact did that have on the Qunari, especially their war with Tevinter? We all know the war is here; I want my character to have an impact on that war, the way my Warden did on the Blight.

12: CLIFFHANGERS: Where's the god baby? Will it be a teenager when the game starts, a future companion, maybe? And is Morrigan still alive? What, and who, is Flemeth? Where did Corypheus go, and what damage is he going to inflict during this war? Will his presence cause the Architect problems? Will he be able to build his own Darkspawn army, perhaps causing his own Blight, as he seems to call like an Old God? And what the hell were the Wardens up to in Kirkwall? What is red lyrium, and why does it act the way it does? Is it tainted? And what was up with that prophecy Sandal spouted if you poked him often enough?

Speaking of which...

13. SANDAL. Yes, please.

I know I'm going over some old ground; a lot of people will post this very same stuff. But I wanted my voice to be added to theirs. I loved both games, as I said, and I'm looking forward to seeing DA3.

I'm amazed how many people see this as "General sugestion thread" when they asked you a spesific question.

Anyway, I would like to get a more in depth view on the Darkspawn, so far they seem like a rather poor afterthought to that one big enemy all mist stand against.

I want continuing story of Ferelden Commander of Grey Wardens ( Main Hero of DA:O - i want to get some canon ( like if Fallout series ), not importing saves ), Morrigan, Alistair, Garret Hawke ( yeah, DA2 sucks, but anyways, he might be a great character ), Leliana, Ogren, Anders ( not that Anders from DA2, I want him from DA:A )
Really, I don't care, where the next game will start. The main thing - DO NOT GET BACK TO KIRKWALL!
And the last thing - I want the style of the Dragon Age Origins - realistic animations ( not so fast as in DA2 and anime ), dark colours, violence, and hope for the future, that the main hero might give to people ( Much better, if we will have a charactir with his history, just like a noble man, that escaped from his family to get adventures or a noble knight, that want to give people peace ).

There's a few things I would really love to explore in Dragon Age.

What is it like to live as an Apostate? What goals, motivations, and conflicts would such a life entail aisde from the Chantry and its Templars? Conversely, what is the life of a Templar like? What kinds of hard decisiosn to they have to make in their quest to keep Magic under control?

Where did the Darkspawn really come from? What about the very first Gray Wardens? How did they discover that drinking Darkspawn blood would provide them with a connection to them and the Archdemon? What kind of social ramifications did this have?

A deeper exploration into the Fade would be excellent. What kinds of worlds are hidden out there? What kinds of spirits and demons roam the Fade? Aside from magic wielders being at risk of posession and becoming Abominations, in what other ways does the Fade interact with the material world?

I believe that Dragon Age
Origins left to many things unfinished which we were hoping would be clarified
on Dragon Age 2 but they didn't.

I would like to know more about Morrigan's
whereabouts and of her child, as well as about Flemeth.

More information about the Hero of Ferelden will
be great too, I feel like on Dragon Age 2 whatever your hero was or did didn't
matter much, you could easily play Dragon Age 2 without playing Origins and you
will get almost the same things, almost, since a few things indeed change but
are not something major.

Been able to change your party's clothes was
something I loved from Origins too that was not possible on DA2, having them
with the same clothes maintains the feel on the characters personalities but hey
sometimes you just want to dress them different and that will solve the problem
of what do I do with all this mage clothes or rogue armor I am getting if I am
a Warrior. There were clothes and armor I couldn't use and that had epic stats
and looks and I just didn't felt like selling it, why not put in on one of my
party members.

I would also like to see the weapons effects, like
if I am using a fire rune my sword is on fire that just looked awesome. To be
able to see your Passive Spell when exploring not only when fighting was also
great, it gives you that feel that your character is almighty.

About the locations, there was a lot of repetition
on DA2, there were the same places just flipped or with a few roads closed in
the end it becomes boring not to see a change of the same colors. If we can
have different locations that really difference from one another the game would
feel more dynamic and adventurous, even more if it includes traveling and not to be always in the same city.

Endings, I think DA2 didn’t have many options.
Either you became Vicount or you ran from the city. More options, please.

About what I would like to see more: Dragons, DA2
had a lot of them and I would be happy to have even more in future games. I
believe the relationships with the party members developed more deeply on DA2,
more hanging out with them and having more conversations will be a good
improvement too. Enemies looked good and combat style for each class was also a
very solid feature on DA2. I would add the option to have a rogue use swords
instead of just daggers and small blades. And more DLC :P

Do NOT hurry. The details affect my experience and emotion, such as repetitive scenes, rough item icons, the changeless Kirkwall in seven years, etc.
About the story, I want to meet a high-level boss, not just somebody as the kight commander of Kirkwall or the First Enchanter of the circle.

1.I want different and huge environments. When I play an adventure game I want it to feel like it has a massive environment. I don't really need one just make it feel big and grand. So then it doesn't feel like I'm running in circles and going to the same spot over and over again.....

2. I want a return of the Warden(if possible) or I want to at least find out what happened to him and Morrigan. (sorry I haven't played DA1 in a while so this next bit might be wrong) Or we could have their son turn into the next protagonist of the game or maybe even the main character?

3. No more Hawke. TBH he was probably one of the most boring characters I've played in years. I felt like I didn't really have control of his personality and actions as much as Shepard in the mass effect series or the warden back in DA1.

4. Combat was fun in DA2. You don't really need to change it except maybe add a few things and a couple things from DA1.

Last and finally 5. MORE COMPLEX AND LONGER DUNGEONS! DA2 was pathetic compared to DA1 in dungeon layout. I understand that you are trying to please the middleman for RPG games and action adventure games but DA2's dungeon layout was terrible. An excellent dungeon that I still remember today is the one where you help the elves and werewolves. It didn't feel too challenging but it still took me a while unlike DA2 where you're only in there for a maximum of 10 minutes.

Sorry for long post guys but I just wanted to address the changes I want and Bioware don't rush yourselves on this one, take as long as you want. DA2 felt way too rushed in development. Mass Effect 2 came out before DA2 and it looked better and it's environments were bigger than DA2.

What i'd like to see in DA3, is bit more of variety.
DA was always  advertised as the Heir to Baldur's Gate and - in my opinion - it did not live up to this.
Only Mage, Fighter and rogue as classes, only 3 Races (which were cut to only humans in DA2) and only very few "origins".
In a sequel should be MORE not  less than in the Original... and I miss classes like Cleric, druid or Paladin.  Sure there are those Prestige-classes like Berserk or arcane Warrior, but there are only a Handful as well and they don't add up much.
So a wider Spectrum of classes and Weapons (such as spears or Crossbows) would not hurt.

The inventar: If you program something for the PC, then please could you give us Pc-Users an inventar, which was made for us and NOT simply import the inventar from XBox. It's... well... i can't describe it any other than: ****ty.
And as well: In a RPG with a Party, players should be able to equip all the NPCs of their  Party.

Quests: Not so much "go and kill" Quests. That style wears on your nerves. In BG2 there were first-class sub-quests (like the cult of the eyeless-ones) and even class-specific-quests (like a thief-guild for rogues or an arcane school for Mages) and Party-NPC-quests.

As for the "Origins"... they were nice and a fresh new idea... but not very inspired and also just a handful. Only one for Mages and one for human fighters/rogues. That was  quite a bit disappointing.
For Exampel: I'd like to have had a convicted Murder or Criminal as Origin... or maybe a chasind. So much Potential was left unused.

As scenerey i'd like to see Rivain, Orlais or Anderfels (since that's the origin of the grey warden). Please no more excessive recycling of Levels. And for the Story: I liked the DA2 story after all, but the end was... mediocre. Well, still better than ME3, i guess (whoever wrote that should better quit writing at all).
The levels shpuld also be  a bit wider (unlike DA2) - give us Players room for exploration.

At last: The Magic-system. I was sad, when i noticed, that the spells could not be combined anymore. I thought it was cool, casting one spell and combine it with another... even though, there were not that many Combinations. I had hoped for more, like sommuning a whirwind and fuse it with a Fireball, or summoning a Bomb an drawing the enemies with Gravity towards it.
As well, some spell-animations were lame (such as Horror, entropic cloud, walking bomb and  elemental weapons).

I think it would be awesome to command another town like in the expansion for Dragon Age Origins. The town could be your home base and you could expand it. Technically this is kind of what I want in a lot of Open World RPGs though.

What i would like to learn about Dragon Age?
Red Lerium and the truth about how the Chantry was formed.

My favorite parts of the Dragon Age series were when we got to explore the story and lore behind the Darkspawn, The Black City, and Ancient Tevinter. Dragon Age 2 really didn't have enough of that. I don't really care about the Templar/Mage struggles. While it's a part of the story of Thedas, it just doesn't excite me as a player to participate in. When DA2 had the Legacy DLC I was enthralled from beginning to end. Dragon Age is at its strongest when it deals with those themes.

I'd like to know what happened to the Architect and his awakened Darkspawn. That's probably cheating though, since I'm sure that'll be addressed in the future.

I'd also like to know more about the Black City and the first Darkspawn, what the crap was going on with Kirkwall being built as one enormous Blood Magic sacrificial thing, and more about the Quanari. Quanari! Seriously, why would you want to go to Orlais when you could have a game about them and their culture.

I'd also like to know... You know what? I was going to be sarcastic and hopefully clever here, but instead I'll lay it out plain: Why should we, the players, ever be sympathetic towards the plight of mages when 80+% of the non-Circle mages we see are blood mages, necromancers, abominations, or about to attack us on sight on general principle?

-What exactly is Flemeth planning?
In both Dragon Age games, she is presented as, and acts, all mysterious and ominous and we're expected to buy into all the foreshadowing... but she doesn't actually do anything. Aside from being a deus ex machina and personification of the dividing line between the prologue/tutorial and the rest of the game, leaving us with a breadcrumb quest and letting us pick our path, she does nothing and serves no further purpose except for one more interaction to again adopt something ominous and vague (though the interaction with her in DA:O was pretty good).

-How exactly does a mage learn blood magic?
In DA2, it's stated by Anders that a mage must make a deal with a demon in order to become a blood mage, but no such demonic interaction is mentioned in regards to Jowan's blood magic. In the mage origin, we learn that an entire section of books has been removed from general circulation because they were written about blood magic, after Jowan had access to these. He does mention that he "dabbled" but never talked to a demon. We could even learn the blood magic specialization in Awakening by buying a book!

-Will we ever get to call the Chantry out for using blood magic to control the Circle of Magi?
Granted, it's not mind control, but drawing and magically preserving blood from a mage to always know his or her location? That sounds like blood magic to me.

-What's up with the ancient thaig in DA2?
All we get from it is more mystery; no Paragon statues, different architecture, and lots of lyrium. Things created by magic inhabit the place; were there once dwarven mages? Did the Elves, in the time of ancient Arlathan, life underground too?

-In the same vein, what's up with the ruins in the Dalish origin?
Clearly the place was important enough to warrant both a statue of one of the Creators *and* an Eluvian, so what went on there?

What kinds of things would you like to discover and learn about the Dragon Age world?

1. I want to learn more about the world, some more of its history ect. More discovery based and free style like Origins or the Elder Scrolls games.

2. I want to know what Flemeth is really around for. Also based on your previous saved games, what is going on with the hero of Ferelden.

I could go more in to my wants and expectations for the game, but i'll keep to just the question at hand and wait around for other questions.

Just for kicks, I want to discover that Jade Empire took place on another continent of the DA gameworld.
