I'd like to get to know the party members more like in DAO, through conversation. DA2 was a bit lacking in that. You meet the person once and know their life story. Plus you only had a handful of conversations in DA2 with party members. Keep main character voiced DA2 style with personality etc, but do away with the 'if you are harsh you can threaten Aden' style things. Maybe have it go on your stats dependant on your class (eg strength for a warrior). Keep extra options of conversation if you've previously got the right information, but don't mark it as such. Don't tell us which are the flirty options. It's much more fun to work it out. Would like to see party members with home bases again, but let them move around within them. Don't mind speaking to them at home base, but let us decide when we talk to them and, as mentioned earlier, let us get to know them through converations. Also can they ask main character questions about their lives.
Oh and as always BRING BACK ANDERS - ROMANCABLE. (Don't care if you killed him off in DA2 - he's half spirit and has survived being 'killed' before) :-D

What kinds of things would you like to discover and learn about the Dragon Age world?
I would like to learn what has happened in Felerden, and Kirkwall the places I've been I want to know how the heroisms of Warden & Hawk has effected upon the land how the political issues has effected to the world of the Dragon age.
Ofcourse don't recycle the levels, upcrade em, best way to implement that is to look something that has done it right compare. Jak II & Jak 3 how the same place could look very different from the original regognicable, but very different looking and better.
Don't look generic realistic Skyrim, embrace the dark highfantasy desing. Bring horryfying and interesting settins. Unique architectural cultures. Dangerous enviromental hazzards. And have deep story in the locations you are going to bring. Dragonage's world is dark, but even in the darkness, there should be good variety in athmosphearic color palette and enviroments.
Little bit humor would do no harm even in darkest setting.

1) please stay away from recycled dungeons (one cavern type with exactly the same path, used several times in a story)
2) don't make dungeons/caves linear (one way to go though to the end), add twist/turns/dead ends/secret doors, so you have to find your way through. (anyone remember Bard's Tale?)
3) Make them "3D" and not only one flat level
4) Make the world maps(outside maps) big and connected, and not only a small square
5) overview map is good for fast travelling but used as a world map in a game, it looks actually a bit outdated and old fashioned
6) be part in building of either a new society Templar/Mages/Rulers, or work (if you so chose) trying to get the old order back
7) Different choices/outcomes/stories for different character classes, so it's worth playing all of them
8) Don't make such an abrupt end like in DA2, building up the suspense with Grey Wardens, old and well known characters from DaO suddenly turning up, you are waiting for a more than epic end, and then suddenly it ends, without explanation or involvement of any of them.
All in all, I am quite happy whereever the story leads to.I secretly hope to play more and hear more about Hawk, but I doubt it will happen.

My personal concept, just a few ideas about :innocent:DRAGON AGE 3:devil: :
Core of Story: I simply trust you. Just remember, take our choices from all games. I know, I know, every fanatic fan want every choice take everywhere, and this is impossible. But really. People want to see what happened to Orzammar with new king, what happened in Ferelden, killing of Arishok, Hawke's help to mages or templars. With huge consequences. 90% of ME3 was made exactly as I wanted, so minimally try to do same.
And If the Warden lives, he/she should be here. Just one important piece of story, at least take Wardens face under mask, with no voice, but know who is it.
Hero: New character with no direct ties to previous ones. Young Orlesian chevalier from Val Royeax? Rogue from Antiva City? Mage from Minrathous?
This is connected with next idea -
World: As I see, we need epic locations, so you can make just cities - Minrathous, Val Royeaux, Starkhaven, Antiva City for example and Weisshaupt fortress?
I would even take there Kal Sharok, or Orzammar again. And something Dalish. Maybe Arlathvenn, when we can even meet Merrill, Velanna or Zathrian?
Voice/Not Voice: I know that these game designs are deeply touched by this decision. I would prefer no voice with some big number of new supercool origins, but I know that people want their heros speaking.
So what about take just TWO voices (male/female), but for EVERY species? We can have Elves and Dwarves or Quanari, not just Humans, but males and females from all species will have same voice.
Maybe dumb thought, I dunno
Playing: Stop prefer consoles there, I beg you. I dont want complete return of principles from DAO, but try make it more for PC gamers, and destroy whole respawn-enemy-from-roof idea. We need every enemies before attack to make some tactics, or this isnt a little RPG. You already know people dont like it.
classes: Return of possibility to create complete batte mage with heavy equipment (Arcane Warrior) or specialized sorcerer with staff. Some people just dont like these swordy staves from DA2. Think about it. At least give us a choice to choose - for example, between Arcane Warrior (swords/shield), Sorcerer (staff) and Battle Mage (swordy staff). It cant be so difficult. First one will be like knight with magical abilities, Sorcerer with more power, and Battle Mage tougher than sorcerer.
Companions: Completely new companions, maybe only one old (return of Oghren or....HAWKE? it would be supercool if we will have our OWN Hawke as companion!)
Or Cullen, if you want total nerd rage from girls!
NPCs: Make more new, just 30% old ones. But you must take only definitely best ones (by fandom) from previous games, like Varric, Bethany, Morrigan or Bann Teagan. If new characters will have some problems cause of fandom hatred, these characters can defend your work
Graphic: To the oblivion, void and death with graphic. These games never werent about graphics. Just make sure about good optimalization for all platforms and Hardware. And maybe just little changes, like no more levitated weapons on or through back
And rather better colors then some ubercool 3D models, DA2 was grey and brown as hell, seriously, no good thing.
Romances: I dont want DA3 completely fluffy with love everywhere, but make romances deeper is possible I think. More unique dialogues, more lovely stuff in choices, maybe people whispering around...of course, this still must have balance
Dont forget on NPC romances, and make cheating of your love very heartbreaking!
Like ME3 - dextromances there (Garrus/Tali) were definitely better than in ME2. Just details, and huge differences in the end.

After a few days, I have thought of a few more things.
1. If a new character is going to be the protagonist, please no companions from the first two games. I know that a few people have asked for this, but it would be like Star Wars Ep 1 where it turned out that every one of the secondary characters had met previously. It was a tad silly. Make the new companions interesting enough and no one will care about the old companions. Save Sandal. He needs to be explained.
2. Can we up the power levels for Player Controlled Mages? It seemed like I was supposed to be this very talented Mage, until I went up against another Mage who could do all sorts of neat things that I couldn't.
3. Please bring back the Arcane Warrior.
4. A new weapon specialization that lets you fight with a one handed sword and no shield. I would like to create a Conan type character. The Greatswords are a tad too long. Can I have something that is just as thick, but not so long (that's what she said)?

My rough game plan:
Prehistory: yours take the Grey Wardens, but long before the events of the first part of the game.
The main part: the battle of Ostagar yours calls for a Duncan, when you come to him, he speaks with Fereldenskim Grey Warden (the hero of the first part), you see him, then when the dialogue ends you come to Duncan and the guards begin to discuss and then about because of what you have called.
It appears Duncan believes that Ostagare bytva will be lost and need help from other Guard and sends you into a Kirkvol there the Grey Wardens. You get to the port from which it comes up and the Hawk, and
swimming with him, several times crossing. In Kirkvole is not enough guards, and he decides to go to Orley, but when come to the shore knows that Moore defeated recruit, whom he met. And decides to stay there ...
Well of course it must be supplemented by missions and quests, as well as some preukrasit, but it's up to you.
Next you want to insert a part of the war between the wizards and the Templars. And to finish all the heroes of the meeting of all three parts!

this will be a fairly lengthy post, so i do apologize now for it. first, i will start by saying i far more enjoyed DAO over DA2 in almost every aspect to include combat/character customization(appearnace/background story)/DLC/varied maps, with exceptions being that i liked the skill trees of DA2 and enjoyed seeing things change as time progressed from act to act.
that being said, i will move on to what i'd like to see in the gameplay. i would like to see something along the lines of Morrigan has moved to Tevinter to raise her baby, the OGB becomes the protaganist and (due to his peculiar heritage) has a very strong connection to the Fade. in trying to learn more of himself/herself, the OGB needs to travel to the Black City (perhaps meeting w/ Feynriel from DA2 where if you had saved him he goes to Tevinter). i enjoyed having new protaganists from DAO to DA2 but having their decisions make an impact on side quests, so hopefully that can be implemented in some way here as well.
the most important thing i want to see tho, is that your decisions make an impact on the storyline. such as in DAO where who you help determines what allies you can get help from in the end. so please dont make it like DA2, where regardless of whether or not you help Anders gather ingredients or get into the Chantry it doesnt matter since he still destroys the Chantry regardless; or that no matter which side you take in the end Orsino still resorts to Blood Magic and you have to fight both him and Meredith.
along same lines as above with decisions, hopefully a timeline is implemented and time moves on after each part of the main plot is completed. i will use DAO as an example since its easier that way. in DAO it doesnt matter what order you do the primary quests in, no matter what the scenario is always exactly the same. but what if the scenario changes based on what order you do them in? im going to use the Circle as my example here: say if you went there first than none of the mages have turned to Blood Magic and you get the option of helping them discover Blood Magic or of ferrowing out those who are planning on using it and stopping them. if you go to the Circle 2nd than you arrive as the first battles are breaking out and, again, you can choose to help either side. go there 3rd and you arrive at the scenario thats given in DAO where the Blood Mages + Abominations have taken control but there is still a chance the Circle can be saved. and if you go there last than the Circle has been destroyed and the Right of Annulment has arrived, allowing you to choose to help the Templars or save the Abominations.
also, perhaps some of the side quests could be time sensitive. like if you were to progress too far along the main plot timeline than quests either wont be available or will be failed (and by too far i dont mean to some critical point, it might be just doing 1 small part in main plot that terminates a quest's availability).

I would like to learn more about the Avvars, their culture, their old gods and so on. Maybe a follower with the ranger (I want it back) spec.
See and experience more politics in the places we visit.
More Varric and Isabela.
I would love more specs. I know people miss dual wielding warriors so maybe they can get their own spec, that's different from the rogues. I've mentioned and asked about this before, but I would love a swashbuckler with a piercing instead of slashing fightstyle.

Dragon age origins was great, dragon age 2 wasn't the worst. The big thing that's turned me off is that I can't even be nice to make characters without hopping into the sack with them. I understand gotta keep gay community stuff around do your thing don't even care. But at least give me the option for no homos or something. Maybe a little checkbox than I can be cool with the guys instead of banging them. It's why I couldn't play the game the whole way through every option turned into a gay fest. It's why I don't intend on playing mass effect or star wars online anymore. It's frustrating how I have to be spoon fed all these homosexual views because it's not right in my eyes, I'm not a religious person before anyone hops on that train people would cease to exist if everyone was gay that's all. It's just not the way it should be. Either way I would love to pick up the next game hopefully I won't have to sleep with every male I befriend.

Hello, thank your giving us this opportunity.
Here are just a few of the things I would like to learn more about or see in DA3:
More about Morrigan, Flemeth, and her sisters.
Sandal - what is he, really?
Elven lore - I want to learn more about their history
I want to go home to Ferelden
Is Alistair's mother really a serving wench or is it Fiona?
What was Fenris like before he was branded with lyrium
God child - will we see him? How is he? He has to be at least 12 by now.
I would love to see Cassandra as a companion.
Andraste - was she a Mage, tell me more about her past.
Black city - Any piece of information would be greatly appreciated.
Combat - I would like it to be a mix of DA:O and DAII, without all the flamboyant moves. (Ex. Rogues jumping 10 feet in the air)
I want to know more about or previous companions. Where are they, what are they doing, etc.

I'd like to follow up on Morrigan's child with the Grey Warden. I'd also like to see more about Dragon Age's history, and the Tevinter Imperium. I really liked the sense of leadership in DA:Awakening, when you were upgrading the fortress defenses and making decisions for the local lords. I'd like to see more of that.

Hello!
I'd love to learn more about the Fade and the world of magic in general in Dragon Age. Origins had a wonderfully esoteric feel to it that I really cherished.
I'd also like a followup on the Morrigan baby thing.
I loved how in-depth Origins felt, and Dragon Age 2 felt a little shallow in terms of lore for me. Please include more interactions based on the player's background! It was horrible in DA2 to see templars ignore the fact that I was a mage.
Cheers, guys!

First of all, I’m not a native speaker, so please bare with my English.
If someone asks me about Dragon Age, I tell him or her that Dragon Age: Origins is the best role-playing game that I’ve played since Baldur’s Gate 2. Usually I try to come up with a short, yet exact explanation of what the game is about, followed by a brief description of its core elements. Some of those core elements are true for both Dragon Age games: Story, character interaction, choices and, of course, battles. I assume that there are many players out there who are all in for the fights. Personally, I’m more interested in a good story, companions and possible romances, so let me start right there with my wishes and thoughts for Dragon Age 3.
I appreciate the attempt to make Hawke in DA 2 less of a super hero, but on the other hand, I never regarded my warden as a super hero, either. It is probably the same reason why I always thought Clark Kent would be a much more interesting character than Superman: He is more conflicted.
Main character:
While I could definitely see the conflicts for my Warden, I didn’t see them so much for Hawke. This is odd, considering how much he has lost over the years. My point being, no matter if you bring the Warden, Hawke or an entirely new character into the new game, create an inner journey and some character development for this character. This should come from the character itself and not from the circumstances surrounding him, although they might serve as a trigger. I can see the difficulty here, of course:
If the main character is more defined, will players still get the freedom of choice?
Yes. For instance, instead of moving Hawke to a bigger house to show his rise to power, there could have been options where the player chooses to use his power in a very “Godfather” kind of way, showing not only Hawkes growing influence, but also his changing attitude. Whereas a righteous Hawke never rises to power to the same extend. Also, if the main character loses a love interest, a family member or “just” a companion, this should affect him more. Allow the main character to change in a meaningful way.
Companions:
Personally, I would rather see lesser companions in favor of connecting the ones I have better with the main plot. That was certainly the case with Alistair, Morrigan, Aveline or Anders (‘though not really well implemented for the last one, in my humble opinion). However, other characters such as Sten, Leliana, Fenris or Carver/Bethany were exchangeable. All things considered, I think the character connection with the main plot worked better in Dragon Age 2, so keep at it.
Speaking of Dragon Age 2, please, don’t use time skips in Dragon Age 3.
And please, focus on just one theme for the game. In a greater context that could be freedom vs. control, trust vs. betrayal or love vs. loss. But show us, that all of the characters are involved because they relate to the theme on a personal level. Again, I think it worked better in Dragon Age 2, but (oh, you knew there was a ‘but’ in there) overall, there could have been a more continuously character development. It felt a bit too static at times, while I thought it was too sudden at other times. (Alistair at the landsmeet, for example, or Anders and the chantry).
Romances:
There should probably be more development in this department here as well. If an NPC falls in love with the main character, this should have an impact. Someone like Isabella might re-consider her life style, Anders maybe asks for help, Alistair finds his balls and stands up to Anora, should she dare to criticize his relationship with the Warden and so on. A deep relationship with someone usually influences the characters.
Possible settings and plots:
Thinking of possible settings and plots, I find two different ways intriguing.
The first approach would be to take care of some loose ends: Whatever happened to Morrigan? What does she know about Flemeth that the Warden (and the player) doesn't know? What is Flemeth’s big master plan? How will the mage vs. templar conflict progress? Instead of drawing from these questions for the next three games, you could simply answer them. There is plenty of potential for good stories here.
The second approach would be to go to Orlais, which we haven’t seen before. I think Orlais offers some really nice possibilities in terms of creating new content. It is also predestined for some nasty intrigues. Orlais probably also offers the choice of bringing some characters of political importance back, depending on the players save import, that is, if there is such thing as an import. Anyhow, there could be cameos. For instance, Alistair, Sebastian or Leliana would well fit in.
The main character could be someone from empress Celene’s court who gets framed and therefore loses his social status and tries to win it back. Or he could be a templar / mage who gets caught up in the ongoing rebellion. There could even be different Origins, depending on the main characters class.
Okay, I’ve got more on my plate concerning other aspects of Dragon Age 3, but since this post has already become too long, I shorten it:
- Let companions have more than just one extra set of armor.
- Don’t simplify the skill tree anymore than you already have. It’s fine the way it is right now.
- I would like to see Cullen as a companion (and as a romanceable one as well). Not sure, though, what he would be doing in Orlais
.
Yeah, I think I’m finished for now. Thanks for this opportunity
(and I'm sorry about the wall of text).
Someone like Isabella might re-consider her life style, Anders maybe asks for help, Alistair finds his balls and stands up to Anora, should she dare to criticize his relationship with the Warden and so on. a pick pocket specialzation would be good.steal items from from your foes while attacking them.
all characters should reach level 60 & max out all there skill tree
different animal companions instead of war hound
more on grey wardens & darkspawn story line
having the first warden in the game
have all the surviving squad mate from the first 2 games in it
bring back spell combos
make the game more epic then the last 2
more tomes for the main character & squad mates
being able to travel all over Thedas.
more dragons
more stuff for the ps3/ps4 like themes & avatars
epic down loadable content,no weapons/armor packs unless they are free
get rid of duelist & bring back ranger
how about a contest that lets a fan become a character in a dlc for game.using the image of the fan & voice

1. I'd like to see more of Flemeth. Make her a squadmate even and keep her DA2 design. She's a really interesting character.
2. I want to go to more places than just one city. Maybe even another country.
3. I would like to see more details on the elven, Qunari, and dwarven cultures, and other human cultures that don't involve the Fereldens and such.
4. I like the witches and mages that fall outside the whole chantry/templar setup. Don't some other countries in Thedas allow mages to be less constricted? Show us that.
5. No more useless junk to pick up and clog your inventory.
6. I'd like to have a really detailed crafting system. It would add fun to the game.
7. Even though I am bisexual and very for gay rights, I don't think its realistic to make every character bisexual. I think its better to have it more like Mass Effect where the love interests depends on your character's gender and sexual orientation. This adds replay value (for instance,In Mass Effect , I played a hetero femShep who romanced Kaiden, a lesbian who romanced Liara, and a male hetero who romanced Jack.)
8. I wanna see Cassandra, Aveline, Fenris, Isabella and especially Morrigan and Varric.
9. I like the art style of DA2 even though some others didn't. Maybe add a tad more realism, but otherwise it was excellent.
10. As much as I like DA, sometimes the setting seems very generic. Adding more elements to the setting other than the cliche medieval fantasy stuff would help the story be more interesting.
11. More varied enemies. Something other than darkspawn, dragons and pirates.
12. The demon/Fade thing is getting old...
13. I liked the fast-paced combat of DA2, but I felt like it lost complexity and was way too easy, especially for RPG veterans. I want more of a challenge.
14. More spells... maybe even make really visually impressive combinations of spells.
15. Random encounters with enemies would make it easier for people to level up and gain new items.
16. Secret dungeons, sidequests and items/equipment would be awesome. Make people work to find the really interesting stuff.
17. Maybe a codex that is read aloud like ME. I have vision problems (even with glasses and contacts) and seeing the tiny text on a screen across the room for me is difficult (I am not the only one who feels this way either). The text in all Bioware games seems to be too small. At least allow an option for it to be made larger.
Hm... that is all I can think of now...
Good luck guys.... Even though lots of people are mad at Bioware, I still have faith in you!

OK here I go
-Love to find out more about Flemeth.
-Want to know about what the Grey Wardens were plotting in DAII.
-I want to know more about Tevinter culture.
-I want to know more about Kal-Sharok.
-More about Arlathan and Elvhenan and why Tevinter decided to conquer it,and I want to find out the truth of what actually happened between the Elves of the Dales and the Chantry.Who was at fault for what happened between them (cough)chantry(cough)
-Want to know more about Dragons.
-More of a backstory for Darkspawn and Demons. How did they come to be? And definitely more about the Deciples and what they have been doing all these years.
-And last but definitely not least I want more info on Morrigan and her plan's,the possible Old God child, and what happened to The Warden and why did he/she dissappear? Excluding the obvious he went through the Eluvian with Morrigan since not everybody did that,or was in a romance with her.
Well thanks for opening this thread Bioware I look forward to future questions and DA NEWS

1. Tevinter
I would be esspecially interested in political relationship between Tevinter and states following Chantry teaching. How this states can co-existing? Is there some version of Iron courtain between them? And how will Tevinter react on mage rebelion after Asunder?
I personally think that Tevinter should take role similar to USSR during sixties and seventies. Some kind of Tevinter advisors in rebel mage camp, helping with strategy and such, promising material help and secretly spreading blood magic and Tevinter influence, would be great.
2. Surface dwarves
We always seeing them like independent merchants and craftmans, but is there some "surface dwarven city"? Place, where new exiled dwarves will go? Is there some hiearchy between them or they are only bunch of individuals?
Such dwarven city should look similar to pueblos - partialy in some mountain as memory od underground home and partialy open to sky as reminder of their presence. And some "surface king" and his relationship and political negations with underground one should be interesting.
3. Reminders of blights
Last Blights are long gone, but it would be interesting visit place, which were hit by them and stay destroyed as reminders of Blights (ruined city, fortress...). Some places like Abyssal rift and Adamant fortress in Asunder.
4. Seheron
Such delicious boiling kettle of Qunari, Tevinters and natives rebels is practically crying for visit and sea voyage, maybe with some pirate intermezzo, would be enjoyable.

I would like to know more about a few things. Continue with the dragon age 2 story with the mages, templars, the chantry, flemeth/morrigan and so on. I really would like to know what happens with all those factions. I would also like to know more about Orlais and the Tevinter Emperium. The events pre dragon age origins are really interesting to me, i would love to know more about anything that pre dates dragon age origins. The grey wardens and the dalish at their height and so forth.
If we're talking about changes to gameplay here too i'd like to see a return to the dragon age origins complexity with the fighting animations of dragon age 2.
