I'd like to learn a bit about the other leaders and philosophies of the Qun outside of the martial one. And juxtaposed to that the Tal-Vashoth as well.
I'd also like to learn about that older Dwarven city that's been isolated for so long.

Take a look at the thread above and all the beautifull things forumites have posted there regarding most of the regions in Thedas. This thread gives ideas that could make the next DA absolute eye candy.
Thanx LolaLei for letting me know how to post the link

I think one my favorite parts of the Qunari is their use of language. They do not have "mages" because under the Qun you ARE your role. And this is a role they do not allow to be filled.Beerfish wrote...

The Qunari society as well. So far in the 1st two games I simply have not liked the Qunari at all and can't sympathize with them in the least. I was not a fan of Sten and hated the Arishok and his henchman. (I'm not saying they were not interesting characters but as a player I simply thought they were totally full of bull whenever questioned about anything.) I assume this is not the true intent for the developers, it will take a lot of effort on their part to make me feel otherwise.
But I can see that sounding like a bunch of BS to some people.

Also, what's up with the Tirashan? It's all... big and green. Is it like a jungle or a forest or an Orlesian cheese mine?

- Creating detailed, believable, multi-threaded worlds with detailed and varied cultures and stories.
- Wonderful characters with interesting character arcs and great developing dialog, so that you get to know the characters in much the same way you would in real life.
- Many options to follow through the story, and
- An overarching, compelling story where your character's choices make a difference which you can see play out.
- What about the continuing cycle of blights and continual darkspawn growth underground,
- What about the problems with the Orzammar government and the fight between old guard (class system) and those with a more egalitarian point of view?
- What about Morrigan, Flemeth, and Morrigan's child?
- What about the research going on at the old keep? Can all wardens escape the 30 year limit or gain better weapons against darkspawn?
- What about the introduction of new, improved darkspawn and the Architect?
- What about the boy-king of Ferelden and does he grow in the job (with or without a wise wife)?
- What about the Grey Wardens around the rest of the world?
- What about the rigid views of the Qun, and the implied coming invasion from DA?
- Will Felicia Day be back? :-)
- What about this gigantic war that has now started - does this restart the imperium or can we get a new order with more freedom and respect for all?
- etc., etc., etc.
- Introducing an entire new set of characters and story plot items - please, we know so many people now. We have spent time developing two major characters, both of whom have "mysteriously vanished" for some unspoken purpose.
- Continuing with the mistakes that upset people with DA2 and MA3, which was to close the endings way too far, shutting out the characters from making as much of a difference. I won't elaborate on ME3 (loved it but looking forward to the expanded ending so I can see more of what the result was...), and instead mention that the thing that made DA2 less fun for me was that it was more like interactively reading a book rather than writing a story, in several ways:
- Ending was more pass/fail than ending-a vs ending-b. Even if you listen to all the clues, (a) you can't save your mom (come on, yes, it was very dramatic and powerful, but even though there were so many clues I could do nothing on subsequent plays...
), (
you couldn't save the elven clan or keep Merrill from being stupid - no matter how much influence you had (and one of my DA characters was FROM that clan - *sniff*) and © you have no real effect on any of the major story blocks - either the whole Anders thing, or the Qunari thing. It sort of feels like "what's the point" and cuts down re-plays. - Romances were more annoying. Every character had major problems - and the only one who was not insane was not available in the end (Aveline). Pardon me for saying this, but it seemed in the last few games have been more about what kind of kinky pairings we can portray and less about the more romantic growth between chars - at least it seems that way.
- Old beloved characters are just brought in for quick missions or conversations (or sex in the bushes) but not really as much for interaction with the current story.
That's my two cents' worth anyway. Hope that it is helpful!

The Hero of Ferelden, Morrigan, Old God Baby and Eluvian Land. Whats the deal with all that?
And more about Weisshaupt, the Anderfels, the Uncharted territory south of the Korcari Wilds and the south west corner of the Thedas map because that territory just sounds interesting:
This, plus the chance to visit und explore someday:
· Kal-Sharok, the former dwarven capital.
· The Imperial Chantry and the magocracy.
· The Black City.
· A new homeland for the Dalish

Also I'd love to know more about the Avvars and their conflict with Tevinter.
On a more specific note, I'd like to know where Morrigan vanished to at the end of Witch Hunt and where (my Warden) went with her.

Totally agreed- that thread is a visual goldmine.
I want to see new areas and have more exploration in general, but only if the new areas actually look meaningfully different, impressive and feel like real locations with a genuine sense of place and not just video game levels. So having Tevinter architecture and armor and society feel like its arrived at where it is organically. And that means having the different nationalities and cultures have visual identities that don't feel arbitrary (Elves with no shoes? Huh?) but feel like everything exists for a reason- people in Ferelden having clothing/architecture/weaponry thats suited to the colder climate and geography and climate, just as cultures in different climates/geographical areas are suited to survive in their respective environments. Its something Game of Thrones does really well- the Dothraki are nomadic horse warriors and as such don't wear much armor have curved blades and not much in the way of architecture. And then how each House has a distinct look that fits who they are.

-More info on Flemeth, even if you don't want to add her explicitly into the game (or whatever content)
-More religious depth. I know the Chantry is already full of lore, but I think it could still be expanded and stretched out more, and more insight into the religions of the Elves, Dwarves, and the Qun.
-This might be only interesting to me as someone whose into linguistics, but it would be nice to know more about the languages of THEDAS. Do the Dwarves have an ancient tongue that was replaced by English due to human interaction? What languages are spoken in the other countries? It seems like everyone knows English, despite some different accents. I know this is a necessary break from reality to make the game playable, but it would be interesting to see what kind of creative reason for this that you can come up with. It would be neat for the playable character to meet someone who actually DOESN'T speak their native tongue, and require an interpreter or something...

Also, I want to know what was up with the primeval thaig and the lyrium idol. We never got any kind of in depth knowledge about what either of these things are, and for elements so close to the plot of DA2 it was kind of a let down. I was far more interested in figuring out what those two things were than the mage-templar conflict.
