Some more info on the whole Black city Tevinter thing and the nature of the supposed gods in the DA universe, the Darkspawn etc. I myself don't care if it isn't a clear-cut "answer" of sorts, hints and teases are ok, as long as it gives you something to work with when forming an idea. Ambiguity is not always a bad thing, sometimes I feel parts of a story work just because they're left to your own imagination.

I definately want to know more about the Black City and the fate of the mages who corrupted it and became the first darkspawn.  Perhaps you could take a trip through the Tevinter Imperium on your adventure.  Hopefully, among many other places. ;)

I am an Origins fan through and through. I don't really know what you were thinking when you changed everything in DA2. Why fix something that is not broken? Anyway, this should give you an idea that almost 70% of the DA fans to move in the direction of Origins again. For DA3, I would really appreciate it if you can please all us fans by including another amazing Leliana's Song as a su rprise? Remove the coversation wheel. Period. I want my conversations to be more deep. Proper text lines are in true form the RPG experience. The character should be able to initiate conversations anywhere in the game and the characters should be more deep and well written. Not those crappy dialogues that DA2 characters spoke which made them look like cowboys. Dont forget that we're showing medieval tomes...so the conversation should be more archaic and beautiful. Larger explrable areas with a highly rewarding experience and the combat should go back to being more strategic.

Given that the last game was so claustrophobic I'd really like to see the setting expanded to places like Tevinter and Par Vollen. Maybe play the Caligula style decadence of Tevinter society against the austere nature of Qunari culture. Nevarra would be a great place too seeing as how it's kind of a gateway between Qunari and Chantry cultures, kind of like Dragon Age's version of Morocco...but full of Dragon Hunters.

I'd love to learn more about the Chasind of Ferelden and maybe play as/see life through a Chasind folk's point of view. I wished there was a Chasind origin story in Origins the first time I played it. In any future games I want the interaction with companions to be more like Origins: where you can talk more or less whenever you want and have fun conversations. I'd also love to learn more about Thedas in general and the background between the countries in Thedas. Maybe even something about a place just outside of Thedas in the unknown territories. And the Qunari/Kossith are a race I'd love to learn more about; particularly the origin of the Qun.
In future games I'd also love for all the characters to be as real as possible; as in I could empathise and feel what the playable character should be feeling. Like Leandra's fate in Dragon Age 2 made me sad. I loved that I was able to really get into the role of my character- like a good role-play game should! :) I also loved having the choice of character backgrounds in Origins, that's the best thing to have in an RPG. I really want Dragon Age 3 to be the most awesomely immersive(-via-story-and-characters) and able to get the player in-role RPG ever! :D

Let me be sincere, I loved both games! That been said, I think each one of them has something the other one lack. DA Origins had a bigger world to explore having a larger map of and interesting areas like the deep roads among others, even worlds inside other worlds like when you are sent into the fade during the broken circle quest. So I would like to continue discovering areas, the world cannot be limited to just a city or a bunch of caves, you know what I mean by this. Other races would be wonderful, but if that is not possible then at least let us costumize our character as oneof the existing ones, not only as a human with a couple background choices available, Origins was great in this respect because there were elves, dwarven, humans and they all had different background stories. Tell us more about the wardens and why the griffin disappeared. I also want to see more about all the other secondary characters, specially those in the first game such as Morrigan (where did the Eluvian take her?), Alistar and his return to Ferelden with Eamon's brother or as a king, and obviously Leliana and the Sten. More of Thedas like Antiva, Orlais, Par Vollen, Rivain, Seheron, Tevinter, The Free Marches since only Kirkwall was seen in DA2. Thedas is supposed to be only one continent so at least let us explore it more, although I would not like to see Dragon Age become a copy of Skyrim, don't getme wrong it is a great game, but DA has to have something of its own I think Origins was closer to achieve that. That is what I can tell so far, but if it is possible let us know what happened to our previous characters, the Warden and Hawke. Looking forward to get news on the thirds installment!

- I want to know more about the Warden, Morrigan, their child, the Eluvian and Flemeth.

- How are our former companins doing? What happened to Merrill, Alistair, Sten, Nathaniel, Bethany/Carver, Fenris, Shale, Aveline, Varric, etc. I'd like their roles to be more expanded, so any chances we can have more than just cameos?

- What happened to Hawke?

- What about Anora, Cullen and Cassandra? Can their roles be expanded as well?

- Personally, I prefer Cassandra havign this hairstyle.

- I would like to know more about the land where the qunari originally came from. How far away is it from Thedas? Also, qunari females and romance.

- More about the ancient elves and Arlathan.

- More about the darkspawn, the Fade and the Black City.

- What about the Architect and Avernus' research?

- I probably won't get this one but I would like to know if the Maker truly exists. What happened with Andraste's ashes, especially if the player decided to show them to the rest of the world in DA:O? Have they been studied by many? What did they find out?

- Can you explain how come there were Ogres during the first Blight? The qunari didn't show up on Thedas until many years later.

- Can this be implemented in DA3?

- What I don't want to see is another Idiot Ball moment. DA2 had tons and I'm sick of it.

I honestly would like to discover more about the Ash Warriors and Weissupt. Also what is Flemeth all about really?? What about the god child (if you went with that option of course)?   What happened with the Warden and Hawke.  Also what is the plan Cassandra and Lelianna have for the two of them.

More information on the old Tevinter Imperium and Antiva would be interesting as well.

While I know that this can be hard to do I'd like an update on the companion characters...what are Alistair and the other Origins crew up to...how is the DA2 crew doing? How about the LI's...how are they are they still with the Warden/Hawke?  If you spared Anders what is he up to now?

Also more of the Dalish perhaps discovering that long lost history of theirs :D

I know that it may seem boring to most but, I would like to hear about the geo-political factins (ex: the hostility between Orlais and Ferelden, the conflict between Tevinter and Por Vollen, and the Grey Warden hold in the Anderfels). I would like to know about the powers at play in these conflicts, what their intentions are and by what means they are able to achieve them.
The reveal of more cities and countries around Thedas. Maybe, and I know sounds a little ridonculous: having some kind of adventure that revolves around being some kind of ambassador to other countries and seeing how the coflicts develop. Some more perpectives ala Game of Thrones.
I'm not saying that it be Dragon Age: Beurocrats, but having a story that interweaves the goals and hostilities between contries and factions would be a welcome reprieve.
Lightning Round:
More Qunari companions
More inner workings of the Grey Wardens, their training etc.
Variety in companion armor
Variety of locations
Bigger battle scenes
More knowledge about companions of DA:O and DA 2
More knowledge of what happened to Flemeth
New characters in the new games
and... I don't know... Speed Griffins?Image IPB

I would really like to learn more about:

<3Tevinter and it's magisters.
<3The original magisters and the black city.
<3Flemeth, Morrigan, and the God child.
<3Corypheus and the architect.
<3The Warden and Hawke.
<3The Eluvians'.
<3The Fade and demons.
<3See more past party members from origins and 2 (Oghren and Alistair).
<3More darkspawn and broodmothers.
<3Red lyrium and the thaig.
<3The Chantry.
<3The Quinari, Par Vollen, and their Qun (sp?)
<3The Dalish and the Elvhen.

:wizard:Gameplay wise:

Bigger areas and no loading screens, make us players earn our way to the next city or whatever (Skyrim). Gives us some freedom and better equipment. Make cities look like cities, not empty. Have people everywhere. Don't use the same layouts and tweak them around ( like DA2). Better character customization, make the female characters look like sexy women, not look like men. Longer hairstyles and more "girly" armor. Better skills. Take your time with it and don't rush it out on the shelves just for money. Fans like good quality games. Better story lines and especially with comrades. Have some EPIC boss battles and kick ass dlc's, make them worth our time and money. Make some expansion packs to while you are at it :) And please don't make it repetitive. The fighting style in DA2 was pretty good stick with it :D It would aslo be really cool if there was an online coop mode where you can travel with other players, a community. Make it Awesome.

I'm curious to know what other magic is going on. It's clear that Flemeth had abilities that no one knows about, and that the Dalish have a magic of their own. Tevinter has got to have a lot going on, and it's so demonized, I'd love to see what it's really like.

I'm also interested to see what Anders is doing. Past loving him to an unreasonable, (read:unhealthy) degree, I'd like to see how he goes about dealing with the new climate he's created. Surely his blasting the chantry to smithereens has made life all kinds of interesting for everyone in Thedas. Has it disrupted the power balance between the Free Marches, Orlais, and Ferelden etc? The geo-politics in these games have always been facinating.

Furthermore, I'd like to see more of the Qunarri culture. How do the Qun deal with other countries on a diplomatic level? Or for trade? Do they really want to take over? Would a Qunarri invasion unite everyone in Thedas? Actually forget all that. How the heck to Qunarri date. No seriously. How do Qunarri romance one another. It's a valid question, Bioware, you've taught us to think of all the angles for these in-game romances, both ours and those of other species. Own it.

Traveling to Antiva City and/or Rivain sounds like it would be really fun, especially by sea. I can only imagine that ending well.

Also languges in Thedas; common, Dalish, Qun... What am I missing? Do Antivans speak... Antivish? What does common look like written? Or Dalish? Clearly the Qun have a written language but are all the Qun taught it? Or just the writtings of Cousland.

And you know what, more from Varric. That needs no clarification right? 'More from Varric' is a pretty solid statement on it's own.

I think something I'd list to see most is more of Thedas. See Antiav, Orlias, Rivain, beyond the Korcair Wilds, all these places we're heard about in the games or books or whatever. I want to see these places, their culture and the people. I've been teased enough about some of these places, I wanna go there.

I'd love to learn what happened with the Hero of Ferelden and where Hawke ended up. As well as the companions. Maybe even bring a few back? Meeting Zevran on a trip into Antiva. Running into Isabela at a port somewhere. Finding Oghren drunk in some bar. Bumping into Anders in some nothing little trading post along some worn out road You know, just some casual appearances of some familiar faces. I'd be happy with that. Would love to see Sten again though. And Varric. Need more Varric.

Another big thing I'd like to see is more Flemmeth. It's quite clear that she has had some big huge plan building in that head of her's so I want to know what it is. I need to know. I just do.

How the whole chantry/circle business is working out since Anders's lovely little plan went through at the end of 2 would be something really cool to build on. Maybe come into it after a few years so its had lots of time to stew and get all kinds interesting.

As far as gameplay goes, I'm quite happy with how the combat system improved from the first to second game. It was very flashy and cool to watch. So definitely more like that.

I'm a huge fan of Dragon Age, but I can't deny that DA2 still fun, but is a huge disappointment to me.

For a DA3, keep the good things for Dragon Age II:

- Improved combat mechanics;

And that's all.

All the rest, look to first Dragon Age as a role model: bigger world, epic history, full customization of EVERY character, bigger length and origins, yes, origins!. And please, I know Bioware strives to create adult and credible themes, but please, try to not create homosexual characters so laughable and dull as the ones in DA2, its just plain stupid Anders trying to get in my pants during all the course of the game even without any signs of interest from my character.

Also, improved graphics are a request too, but it's completely secondary. Focus on the core game, remember: more Dragon Age Origins (and Awakening), less Dragon Age II.

Why are mages allowed to just walk around? They have Mage clothing and everything. I think if a Mage is out they have to have a form saying they are permitted outside the circle. Just saying. Thank you again.

I always enjoy learning more about different countries, fictional or RL, so that's main for me.

I have noticed some posts on this thread (slightly off-topic, but then so are they) asking for coop.

PLEASE MAKER NOO!!!!!!!!

And if the team (or just the 2 middle letters of that word) absolutely insist on it having it, then:

Please in the name of all that is good in Thedas, rpgs, gaming and the real world, DO NOT HAVE IT IMPACT OR BE REQUIRED FOR THE SP CAMPAIGN IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!!!!

Plot/thematic connections ok. Actual having parts of SP depend on MP, not ok!

Just an observation first: reading threads like this makes me feel I'm the only player whose characters didn't allow Morrigan to perform the Dark Ritual! :) So, to me, there's no Old God Baby to begin with...

Now, what I'd like to know more about (top 5, in order):

1) Tevinter
Specifically, I want more depth to Tevinter magisters: they can't be *all* evil, slavers, power-hungry, right? To that end, a trip to Tevinter Imperium where we can see and interact with more NPCs would be really good.

2) Fade / Black City
I feel like I'm in the minority here: I've really enjoyed the times in the Fade in both DA2 and DA:O. So I'd like to know more about it, like what's up with the Black City? I don't buy the Chantry tales surrounding it (darkspawn's origin, etc), at least not all of it.

3) Enchantment! Enough said. :)

4) Companions
Instead of re-using past companions, I prefer you to focus on turning some previous NPCs into companions, like Cassandra and Sandal, while having the majority of the party being composed with new, never before seen characters/archetypes.

5) More on the powerful, ancient elves: through ruin, artifacts, old "living" spirits, etc.

I would mention Orlais, but that's pretty much a given...

And again, unlike most people... while I want Flemeth to keep interacting with the main characters/events in future games, I prefer her to still remain a mystery for the most part (at least for DA3). And to me, the personal stories of both the Warden and Hawke are pretty much done, so I feel like they don't really need to show up. If they do, it should be meaningful to the new stories being told, not just as cameos.

Dark Ritual

I've posted earlier, though I feel I need to clarify. One of my biggest issues happens to be with the Dark Ritual, it's presented near the end of the original game and given little to no explanation at the possible ramifications of what might occur as a result.

For example, you've got the Bhelen / Harrowmont choice and you can actually see things form up. You hear about Harrowmont being a die-hard traditionalist, which is very separatist by nature. Thus, when the Harrowmont choice "backfires"  in the epilogue, you've got a crucial understanding at how such a thing led up to the consequences.

However, the problem with the Dark Ritual is that barely anything can be read from it. You've got the player sitting there, Morrigan offers you to survive in exchange for letting an old god's "true" essence live. Now, this wouldn't be much of a problem if we knew even half of what could occur.

We know Flemeth is involved, though he know nothing about her motivations and end goal.
We know it spares an Old God, though we don't know what that could possibly mean.

In addition to this, the undertones of the events change with every time it's brought up. When you're presented with it in Origins, it's presented with darker undertones and it might not be that great. However, when you're doing Witch Hunt, Morrigan says she isn't half as sinister and we think she is and seems to imply more like she's doing a good thing.

Now, I wouldn't trust Morrigan's opinion on it, though keeping us intentionally shrouded can only lead to eventual insult. We're always told the Dark Ritual is the biggest thing and will have it's own events, however this isn't helping. Any unforseen consequence for any decision is insulting, just making a big deal out of one with little exposition is a recipe for disaster.

Hypothetically (an extreme example), if the baby transforms mages into powerful demi-gods and allows them to conquer a lot of Thedas, wouldn't that be insulting to say... the anti-mage character who did it? Wouldn't it be insulting to the pro-mage character who didn't?

I'd like to see more exposition and leading up to the eventual events leading to the consequences which will occur due to the dark ritual, allowing the new player character to have a chance to try and stop whatever might occur or recreate it depending on the previous choice. It's too late to add more to the Dark Ritual, might as well expand upon it now.

Templar / Mages

I'd love to encounter the leader of these two obvious power-players in the next game as quickly as the storyline allows, which was one of the greatest flaws in Dragon Age 2 with hiding Meredith / Orsino until the finale of act 2. Possibly without insanity and their own motives remaining true throughout.

More characters like Loghain, people who you might understand and respect but still ultimately disagree with (or agree with, depending) rather than idolificated-super saiyan IV Meredith.

I might be alone in this, but I would be more interested in seeing lots of new companions and NPCs, and less emphasis placed on returning characters. This goes also for minor characters whose roles end up being expanded. Thedas is a big place, and there is a lot of it we've seen virtually nothing of. Exploring the hidden parts is more intriguing to me than a large number of cameos from past NPCs. I understand that a few of these are bound to make it in, and that's plenty fun, but I'd rather not play a game dominated by these cameos.

As an expansion of that, I think it would be cool if DAIII took place many decades in the future from the first two games. For one thing, we could get a much better bird's eye view of the effects of the Fifth Blight on Thedas's history, not to mention all the grave political decisions the Warden gets dragged into making. These would seem much clearer, and less muddled by minor personal concerns, the farther in the future we get to look. Obviously I'm in the minority in this, but I'm much more interested in, for example, how Ferelden recovers from the annihilation fo the Theirin line, than who Alistair was bonking at the time.

Companions and NPCs are great, and I love them, but I would be more interested in seeing them in books and comics than in the game.

Also, I would be delighted to read anything at all about Bhelen Aeducan. Anything. Book, comic, web series, rock opera, vaudeville variety act. If Bhelen is a central character, I will pay cold hard cash for it. Or, uh, PayPal.

Please Bioware do not dumb this game down just to make accessible to casual gamers like you did with mass effect 3 (It kind of hurt the game in the long run in terms of story telling in my opinion)

Try and go deeper into the RPG elements than ever before.

Please cut down the amount of FEDEX quests. For $60 I am **not** interested in finding an item, magically knowing where to take the item to and who to give it to.

I would have preferred more Chantry Board quests or the Mage Underground quests.

I don't want things handed to me in a game, I dont want instant gratificatation, I want my gaming to have depth and to leave me feeling SATISFIED after I play for a session.

DA:0 left me feeling full while DA:2 was fun....I was never left fully satisfied.

To follow the conflict between the Chantry and the Circles.
To see Antiva, learn about it's culture including things like trade and culinary traditions.
To learn more about the Qunari as a society.
To learn more about the conflict between Tevinter and the Qunari.
To see Weisshaupt fortress and the politics there, as it contradicts the policy of the Grey Wardens.
For the games to follow the novels in the way they have so far.
The cities to be more "alive" so to speak. More people, more ambience, more interaction with the surroundings.
A more open world. Maybe the ability to swim or travel to other countries. More demonic puzzles.
The true source of the Darkspawn.
More insight to what the Taint does.
God baby.

Also: More Sandal!
