The Qunari society as well. So far in the 1st two games I simply have not liked the Qunari at all and can't sympathize with them in the least. I was not a fan of Sten and hated the Arishok and his henchman. (I'm not saying they were not interesting characters but as a player I simply thought they were totally full of bull whenever questioned about anything.) I assume this is not the true intent for the developers, it will take a lot of effort on their part to make me feel otherwise.

I think one my favorite parts of the Qunari is their use of language. They do not have "mages" because under the Qun you ARE your role. And this is a role they do not allow to be filled.
But I can see that sounding like a bunch of BS to some people.

My beef with them is they go to great lengths in telling people how they should behave and yet totally ignore faulty behaviour on their own part and usually respond in a way which indicates 'you mere mewlings just don't understand'.  They are the biggest don't do as i do, do as i sayers around.

For example, the Arishok rails and rails about the terrible behaviour and self serving actiosn of the people of kirkwall and yet he does things like letting a crazed elf have some gas bombs and acts as if it is not his fault in the least of the consequences.

The Arishok lambasts Javaris tintop for having others do his dirty work for him and yet he is more than willing to have Hawke do the Quanris dirty work in a few cases.  Expansion on the other parts of their society might soften my stance on them but I kept saying my head most times I talked to the Arishok or Sten "You are so full of sh**!  :P

Folks have already covered a lot of what I want to see. What I don't want to see is a slavish run to Skyrim. Skyrim is a game with a lot of qualities. Where it is really quite inferior to DA, however, is in character development (including the romance element), and story complexity. Personally, I'd rather have a 60 hour game with subtly twisting story line, torrid romances and fascinatingly complex characters than 120 hours of dungeon diving, weapons and armor crafting, and boondocks exploration.

I'd like to see how the qunari are dealing with the Kirkwall situation. Whether they were defeated or sent home with Isabela, they didn't like what they saw and I think that could be an interesting area to explore in a game or other medium.

What I definitely want in the games is to feel a bigger impact of your choices. I feel Dragon Age II and Mass Effect 3 were sorely lacking in that regard. I also noticed that Mass Effect 3 toned down the RPG features by increasing the amount of auto-dialog and limiting the conversation wheel to only two options. I hope future Dragon Age games don't fall into this trap. It may be easier for the writers, but it's also what, in my opinion, made ME3 the weakest in the series.

how about a mage abomination possessed by a desire demon or a pride demon. Could be like Anders in DA2 but less of a ponce LOL

You didn't like Sten? Not even by the end? Not even with the cookies? :crying: Poor Sten. I don't necessarily buy what the Qunari are selling, but I think they are interesting. More so after finding more out about the Tal-Vashoth.

He acted much better to my warden at the end but I had a heck of time getting over the fact that he slaughtered  a family with kids who took him in because he lost his friggin sword.  It always really stretched my moral compass to let him out of his cage in the 1st place.

I'd like to meld the best bits of DAO and DA2 in future games (of course then there's the great debate over what the best bits are). For me this means while I liked the individual class combat animations I'd like them tempered with DAO practicality. Find a middle ground between the unique alien-ish DA2 elves and human like beauty of DAO.

I don't mind the story only taking place in one city or region but if it does then the place needs soul, be bursting with life, stories and interesting people. Val Royeaux seems more suited for that rather than being part of a larger map.

I want to know about Andraste, was she a mage? What were the other beliefs about her suppressed or ignored by the Chantry? What is the real story of her fight against Tevinter?

What did the Band of Three discover? Can the veil be strengthened like it was in the Blackmarsh?

Despite being right near the Alienage the elves we interacted with were Dalish. What are some Alienage traditions? The Dalish dismiss the great tree as unimportant but it was important enough for the dwarves to carve a stone Vhenadahl for the refugee elves in Cadash Thaig. So what the story is the tree a lower class thing, something the noble families who later became the Dalish didn't believe in?

Definitely the #1 thing I want to explore is Flemeth, followed closely by Morrigan and her Child.
I want to explore the Qun further, and their impending invasion. What ever happened with The Architect? GRIFFONS!!!!

I'm more interested in the blight, darkspawn and old gods or the impending Qunari conflict than I am in the Mage/Templar conflict so I hope mages are not the crux of DA2 and DA3.

- Politics. Involving processes of government, current intrigues and international topics/tensions. The PC does not have to be involved directly but it would be neat to learn about these things.

- Cinematics and scripted events, in which the PC does not take part. The whole part of DA:O in Ostagar was phenomenal. The arriving with Duncan, priests blessing, the discussion of tactics with Cailan, Loghain,..., cinematics of the beginning of the battle and after clearing the tower. So personally, I can accept talking heads if we can get more of these cinematics I meant.

Our writing style will be similar to DAII, though not exactly alike; more on that when we have something to show. So, no, not a ton of autodialog.

 I really hope this remains true. Autodialogue was hardly ME3's biggest flaw but it certainly wasn't a positive.

I loved the ability to make custom weapons. Both from quests in awakening and by the glitch in warden's keep where tier one equipment would scale when sold to mikhail dryden. Skyrim had a great system where you could continually improve weapons you liked. Some variant where you could use a smithy to improve your favourite weapons or at least copy their style.

I love the design of the kossith in 2. Seeing a female of that would be nice.

I HATED the darkspawn design in 2. Every other race looked more distinctive but darkspawn looked more generic. Hurlocks just looked like skeletons instead of diseased demon men like in origins, and genlocks were TOO bestial. Keep the overall dimensions if you must but I want to swordfight, not avoid an enemy that is essentially a watered down bronto.

I love the party banter. I'd like it to be easier to initiate.
I love Merrill for being superhumanly adorable.
I loved Oghren for being drunk. Seeing him again as a warden would be awesome.

I liked having dual weapon options as a warrior in DAO and rogues not being limited to just daggers.

Mostly I want you guys to make a cool game and have enbough time to develop it. DA2 was obviously rushed and could have been much better. If you can do waht the mass effect team did, taking the storng elements of both games and merging them

But seriously, not mass effect 3 style ending.ever. It made the fans so mad they yelled at you until you agreed to change it. You would not survive that happening again. Don't create awesome worlds and then all but kill our ability to play in them until the inevitable sequel.

Oh and I forgot: the landsmeet and orzammar succession should be used as the templates for important decisions. In those there are multiple choices and depending on who you are rolling as, most if not all choices can be seen as the moral ones. The rite of anullment in da2 was very obviously the wrong choice.

More generic weapons would be good too. DA2 had you kneee deep in dlc weapons and you barely  needed to visit shops. not that they had much selection.

More weapon variety: There weren't enough characters in the first 2 games for the amount if high level legendary swords....and yet the number of legendary axes was quite small. Spread the love around. Or let us choose the form legendary weapons can take ala basrath kata.

The mirror of transfiguration needs to be standard in every rpg. Sometimes you make a mistake in creating your character, or want to show the passage of time by changin their hair. Make this happen.

More information on these general plot points thus far would be quite nice, as well as appreciated:

- Who Red Jenny is - what the "friends" represent, etc.
- Additional information on the "daughters" of Flemeth (well, and on/about Flemeth as well)
- How the magisters accessed the Golden City (I have lots of theories)
- If there is any significance to Lake Calenhad (the shape - or all of the legends about what lay beneath it, and the magical properties of the waters)
- If there are other primal thaigs
- The history/religion of the Avvars

Culture-wise...anything new would be wonderful. If we're going to be traveling with a companion from a land different from the PC's, I'd love to hear about it - much like how Leliana told the Warden about Orlais, and her bardic life.

Basically, I'm greedy. Any and all that you can give me in a game - expanding upon existing lore, expanding upon the details and nuances of the world - I would love.

I would like to see what the qunari think of you killing their arashok to rescue a theif an see their effect on a world at war. I would also like to see a bit more bout blood Magic an the true horrors it can create, I woud like to think the few hours Uldred spent unchecked in the mages tower wasn't the extent of bood magic. I would also like to see how your decision to have the baby witth morrigan or to not affects this mage war. And what is in the korcari wilds? All we know is that they expand into a frozen wasteland, but the horde came from the wilds. I want to know what is down there other than a bunch of chasind warriors, And finally where the portal that morrigan/ the warden and morrigan step through takes them?

The most pressing desire is, of course, weaponised nugs.

But if that is unworkable i will settle on more info on the Chasind and other uncivilised groups. The Tevinter, Orlesians and Qunari are all fairly easy to predict, the Qunari are the most mysterious but i feel i have a pretty good mental image of them. But the Chasind? We barely know them. I seem to remember one of the Wardens in The Calling was Chasind or some other flavour of barbarian, and the little bits we got about him were very interesting.

Some of these may have already been said, but not only am I too lazy to scroll through all the replies, I think it'll show just how much interest there is if more than one person mentions it. :innocent:
  • Red lyrium - what is up with that? Why is it different than blue? (Besides color, obvs.)
  • How does the lyrium in the Fade connect/spill-over into the 'waking world', and how does that affect the world itself.
  • More information on the whole 'Black City Debacle'.
  • Dwarven 'creators' - In (I think) Witch Hunt there are mentions of a people (the Elves left fleeing from humans I believe), who called forth protectors from the stone. Is this the origin story for dwarves? How did their society change from all that, and forget about it.
  • We know some of how the Circle Towers work (or don't), but I would like a deeper look at how the Templars work. Like, are there any Templars who disagree with the general policy and how do they deal with everything. How do they feel about the lyrium addiction they're pretty much forced into?
  • More information on the formation of the Grey Wardens, and a look at the current 'leadership' at Weisshaupt fortress and how they connect to all the different 'chapters' of Wardens.
  • What big thing were the Wardens worried about at the end of Dragon Age 2?
  • A nice, clear, timeline of everything important that has happened in THEDAS in the last...100 years.
  • The Qunari/Kossith - more information on pretty much everything there.
  • Last but not least - ANYTHING and EVERYTHING Antivan. (Also, more Zevran.)
Please and thank you.

Dear DA development team,

I'd very much like to first give a general answer to the general question "What does Dragon Age mean to you":
- Please let DA be a serious world and let the DA games take this world seriously! No more kewl_teenage_movie atmosphere/mood  plz. Look to TW2, Skyrim and your own DA:O, instead of DA2, Dynasty Warriers 6 or KoA and such.

I assume the question of the month is: What kinds of things would you like to discover and learn about the Dragon Age world?

Political and social life & intrigues in Orlais could be fun. (Navigating through treachery and masquerade balls. But in that case you have to be careful to give it a different flavor. flow and feel than DA2 and Kirkwall).

Qunari lands and culture could be fun. (Embarking with a force on failed military expedition into Qunari lands could offer opportunities for culture clashes and all kinds interesting situations, including captivity).

I would love to see more of the other cities - others have mentioned the Anderfels, Weisshaupt, Orlais, Par Vollen, etc.

I definitely want to know whether Morrigan was right about the god-baby. I want to see how the world has changed, because as of the end of DA2 the baby should be, what, 8? 9? Definitely old enough to start wreaking havoc (whether it's a "good" god-baby or not!).

I really, really, really want to know about the Golden City/the Black City. In line with this, I also want to know how the Architect's plans are going...

I want to see the world beyond the Eluvian. Or learn more about the anicent elves.

I think everyone wants to see the golden city, or learn more about it. I'd be quite happy seeing some history about the first blight.

Per Vollen too, the qunari.

Simply seeing lots of different ways of life and being able to travel is the main thing I would like...there are some many different cultures and ways of life in origins. It'd be nice to see more of that in three.

Many of Leliana's stories are wonderous and fascinating, while Varick's storytelling is exciting and filled of adventure. I think either one of them make great narrators...or better yet use them both? The choices you make will change narration a lot more dramatically...this was done in two, but there could have been much more. I like hearing stories about the world, and I like hearing cool actors deliver em. :)

More maps.
Better, more unique character customization.
And ways to make your character look less like all the NPC's. Your companions felt WAY more and interesting than Hawke, because they each have their own unique look and feel. I'd love to see something that makes your female character as interesting as Isebella. Or your male character as interesting as Varric; in terms of looks.
