Two things:

1) I'd like to learn more about Leliana and her role in teh Chantry or an agent of the Maker.  She was one of my favorite companions in DAO and I enjoyed her cameos in DA2.

2) The Legacy DLC hinted that everything we know about the Blackened City and the Blights are wrong.  Would love to learn more about that.

What kinds of things would you like to discover and learn about the Dragon Age world?

At the moment I'm more interested in learning the answers to questions the games have already posed than seeing a slew of new questions.

What is lyrium really?

Why did the magisters of old make phylacteries for themselves?

Were the ancient elves truly immortal?

Was Adralla a Tevinter mage like the Chantry claims, or a Bard in service to the Divine like Wynne lectures?

Why do some abominations look like demon/human hybrids, but others get to 'shift' between full demon/human form?

How did Merrill carry a tainted Eluvian shard around for a year without infecting her clan?

Since it can cleanse Taint, is there anything blood magic can't do?

What did Danarius create Fenris for?

Eamon: royalist or royal manipulator?

Marric: Just how many women did he impregnate?

Sten: mint bits or choc chips?

And most importantly, is Teagan sleeping with Isolde?

@ Begemotka I can only say: Yep include me in your post, those are the things I'm thinking about to.

The only thing I want to add is Kal Sharok. It's on Orlesian territory so what is up with those dwarves living there doing questionable things to survive? What questionable things? And does that include the use of magic undoable for dwarves normally? Is Sandal born there?

I'll stop asking now; answers would be nice to get (at least some) in DA3.

I would like to learn more about the people who inhabit Thedas. I want to know why the Qunari or the Dalish dress the way they do; I want to know more about their languages, their religion, their festivals, the way they style their hair, the tales they tell their children.

I am anxious to see the various countries begin to grow beyond their sources of inspiration; i.e. I'm looking forward to seeing how Orlais becomes more than just a "fantasy country based on medieval France," or rather, a caricature of medieval France.

What I would like to see in future Dragon Age... everything:

1) Orlais. The way Leiliana described it, it sounded lovely.
I would love to see those pampered poodles in their own setting, go to more
fancy pants parties, eat more sorrow-laden foods. And more Leiliana.

2) Antiva. I would love to see the Crows in their own
setting. See the corrupt politicians. It is supposed to be one of the
wealthiest cities in Thedas, and I'd like to see how their society works. A
place where it is thought that women shouldn't be warriors sounds appealing in
the sense that I am both female and, well, obviously I fight. ;) And Zevran.

3) Rivain. I would like to see a place where elves aren't
"vermin" and can stay in one place for a while. It would be nice to
be in a place whose people aren't believers in Andraste and the Maker. And
Isabela.

4) Par Vollen… or any other Qunari place. Considering, from
what I read in the wiki, Rivain has Kont-aar, it would be killing two birds
with one stone. The Qunari are fascinating to me, and while Hawke can't seem to
understand them, I, myself, can actually appreciate their views and ways of
doing things, so it would be fabulous to delve deeper with them. See their
society in action. Maybe hear more from Tallis? Please? I love Tallis. <3 More Tallis!

5) Tevinter! I am really wanting to see the opposite of
Thedas… where mages are important people, not shoveled off to the Circle like a
dirty secret. A place where magic is freely used would be a nice change of pace
from the world we currently know. I'd love to learn more about the Black
Divine, and perhaps learn more of the use of Blood Magic, since Fenris pretty
much said it was rampant there. And, of course, I would love to see more of
Fenris.

6) More options to speak with my companions. While I realize
that a lot of money would get poured into voice actors, I feel that really
getting to know the people you're working with is key to game immersion.
Seriously, if you are to be fighting next to these people, knowing about who
they are, being able to ask questions about them, and really getting to see
their perspective would lead us players to make more informed decisions during
game play. If it is true that our decisions will matter, including the
decisions from previous games, I feel that getting well-rounded information
would make us take up a cause more strongly (for those of us who care about
that sort of thing, that is). Also, I really missed the "Kiss them"
option from DA:O in DA2. How come I couldn't kiss Anders or Fenris whenever I
wanted to?! So unfair. :P

7) I'm not asking for you to give us full reign, but could
you, maybe, make it a little easier for people to make mods? They love your
game so much that they spend time and effort to enhance them. It's a
compliment! As a mod user I find that bringing the creations of fellow DA
lovers into my game is a more enriching experience, offering diversity in many
things, but most importantly, the way you relate to your character. If you, as
a company, aren't going to take the time to make 60,000 different options for a
character's face… maybe make it easier for others to? Maybe? Please excuse me,
I am a female, and I like the option of having that dress in a different color.
;)

8) The Fade, the spirits and demons who live there, perhaps
what really happened to the Black City, more about different types of mages
(like… the dreamers… I wouldn't be too disappointed if a future PC was one),
Morrigan and Alistair's baby (since my Warden was always female), more about
Flemeth, Morrigan, Yavana, and witches like them (or, you know, just Flemeth. I
love Flemeth), always more Sandal and Bodahn (Enchantment?), more comic books
and books, and movies, maybe more merchandise centering around our favorite
characters (such as the action figures of Duncan, Loghain, etc… a lot of people
wouldn't mind having a little Isabela, Varric, Fenris, or Anders sitting on
their shelves!), maybe more information about the elves? More information about
The Seekers, although Dawn of the Seeker is about to come out, definitely some
new races that maybe aren't so prevalent in Thedas, information about the
ancient thaig and the lyrium idol and maybe information about the ancient
dwarves that inhabited it. What happened to Bartrand after everything that went
down? Throw in a few griffons, perhaps? Maybe see what Sebastian's up to in
Starkhaven? Find out the story of Bianca?

9) Last, but not least, for those of us who allowed Anders
to live… I would love to know what is to come with him. He is one of my
favorite characters, and I would like it if we see him later. :P Is he more troubled?
Less troubled? Did he find a way to actually separate himself and Justice? Did
Sebastian find him? Did he and Ser Pounce-A-Lot ever reunite?

This post is a lot longer than I intended it to be! I
apologize! I just think it's really nice that you're going to take what we, the
fans, say into consideration. <3 I wanted to make sure I was thorough and got everything out in a mostly clear and concise way.

Edit: I also apologize for the formatting of this post. Due to extremely crappy internet I have to type up every long post in Word, then copy/paste them so I don't lose them. Happened too many times. >.<

Take a look at the thread above and all the beautifull things forumites have posted there regarding most of the regions in Thedas. This thread gives ideas that could make the next DA absolute eye candy.

Thanx LolaLei for letting me know how to post the link Image IPB.

I endorse this post Bioware! A lot of beautiful locations in that thread.

Also, to a smaller degree, I'd just like to add--Murder Knife: What are the origins of this mysterious, yet trusty knife?

I'd like to explore some of the societies and cultures of Thedas - particularly the Dalish and Qunari (and I mean the ones with horns, not an elf who follows the doctrine please - it was fine for a short, but I'd be sorely disappointed in a human convert town as representing the Qun society on the whole). I'd also like to see the Grey Wardens as they are meant to be - with full command structure and traditions. None of us really know the Wardens beyond cursory experience with one or two representatives (from gameplay) even though the hero of our first game was one.

Obviously there will have to be some follow up on the mage/chantry conflict - but I'd really like to see both sides this time around if that's what's to be. Ideally I'd like to be able to play on either side accordingly.

More romances and more party member depth - and more ability to interact with them freely off-schedual as well as landmark moments with them. Essentially combine DAO and DA2 approach.

A history-game might be cool - with the clock dialed back to before things with the dwarves and elves deteriorated. Ye olde Tevinter perhaps.

History in general needs to be fleshed out - there are too many question marks as it stands right now with red lyrium and Flemeth-type demi-god persons and the start of the Blights and the real influence of the Fade on the "real" world.

I'd also like to see what's going on with my characters - the people I played who made the games mine.

Antiva is my favourite - assasins, prostitutes and corrupted politics! Par Vollen would be also great or Rivain. You know, I think that any of new places in Thedas will be satisfying, unless You make another DragonAge2-like game. I'd like to see more connecions with DA Origins and what happen to our past companions like Oghren, Morrigan, Zevran and others. I also agree to what someone said before, more badass and fierce women in charge. More choices and options in every area - like making decisions, dialogues, the story, race etc. So please, follow DAO and Skyrim example, not DA2!

I guess Tevinter would be really cool.I wonder if they have records on the golden city catastrophe...
There's also The Black Divine , with a title like that we should met this guy one day.

Qunari , obviously , we have no idea what their city and community might look like , and we only heard of the Qun out of the mouth of a few figurehead. And we don't know of their history , why did they moves to Thedas? Is it only to conquer or did their homeland is lost for x reason. And why are they so afraid of magic , i mean ok mages are dangerous , but in DA2 for me , it looks like they thought magic was kind of contagious...traumatized by some mind control in the past?

The fade is also interesting with the black city , but from a safe distance , I don't like playing in it at all.
Same with the deep road , love the lore , hate playing it :s.

Guess ruins (of any type from Arlhathan times , Dwarven , chasind..) that have hints about the lore is always a good trip. The only thing is our PC never seems to care about it , maybe having quests that envolve the PC and the players to find some ancient history would be nice.(having a pc whose hero is Brother genitivi?:P)

There's so much thing interesting going on , it's like being in some candy shop ...

Also , the warden/Architect/Corypheus/and all that strange research warden are up to.Since the Blight open the ball , i guess one day we might have a last dance with one.We could go to weisshaup , we never saw the warden headquarter.

I don't care much about Morrigan , but i want to know about the Eluvian!(and that world beyond the fade )
And Andraste , was she a mage , hearing voices , or just a badass woman? If we're going to Orlais , since it's kind of the center of faith and knowledge (big academy) I hope we will find out something (i wouldn't mind a quest a la DA Vinci Code :D)

Who are the Fex?

Rivain ,well Isabella and Duncan came from here so it can't be that bad place.Beside it seems hotter so it might be a nice change of scenary.Plus they have Medecine woman/apostate , they 're not fond of the chantry and i heard some sympathize with the qun.I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with rivain but i'd like a New Orleans kind of feeling^^.

edit: and i don't want any of this in some facebook games ....please .

I would love to see more of Dwarven culture and history. Specifically what Kal-Sharok is up to: how did they survive? Do they share the same beliefs as Orzammar? What if their belief in the stone is different? What are their plans to rebuild the empire and do they hope to ever reunite with Orzammar? Or have they decided to remain isolated with their own plans?

Thank you for doing this DA team!

First of all, I want to emphasize that whatever place I want to see to much, I want to see this in great detail and with another graphics engine, to be able to render this detail. If you want to show us what you think will appeal to most of us, then show it with great attention to detail. Please.

Also, I'd love to see enemies who make their appearance in places that make sense to make their appearance. A good example is the Ash Wraiths in Sacred Ashes quest (Codex entry: The Holy Brazier). And a bad example is the High Dragon just before the entrance of Primeval Thaig. A dragon? In Deep Roads? A dragon? ok...

Now, what I want to discover and learn in Dragon Age Universe.
1. God and deities of this world. I mean, I want a deeper investigation in this direction, or even an "intervention" of the god or deities. I want to see majestic temples of the deities of the Elves if they still exist.
2. Morrigan. I want to know more about her, and everything associated with the Eluvian Mirrors.
3. Flemeth. Same as above, plus what is the role of the Dragons in the world.
4. Tevinter & Orlais. These two nations are the most interesting to explore.
5. And finally, what is beyond the map of Thedas?

What was Morrigan's gift to the Warden at the end of Witch Hunt?
Did Corypheus possess or whatever Janeka or Larius at the end of Legacy?
Are there ogre Emissaries, if so are their staves equally large?
Why don't Kossith wear shirts?
If we see our Sten again will he be grey?
and lastly... The Fex?

1) The Origin of the Qunari.

2) Weishaupt and the Wardens. We actually don't know very much about the wardens at all, and we haven't seen more than a handful at any given time.

3) Geopolitcs and this world. I want to know more about what keeps countries in this world in check. We hear a lot about the Orlesian army, but despite being near two relatively weak countries, Ferelden and the Free Cities, they can't seem to hold these territories and don't seem to be inclined to try. I want to know why.

4) I want to know what became of Hawke. Preferably, I would like to continue playing as Hawke, but that seems less likely considering reactions to DA2

5) Telvinter. I want to see how life is like in a Magocracy. I want to see how they deal with corruption and blood magic, and have that further explored.

I'm not sure how marketable it would be, but I would totally love a game where the main protagonist was Kossith/Qunari.

I'd love that, too. But it might be a real challenge to cast the player as qunari - without more info about them first. Because the player'd have to choose from a lot of out of context dialogue.

(Having said that, it'd still be awesome. Just maybe kinda ... confusing? I'd totally play it, though.)

Things I want further explored in dragon age? Well...
1) I really, REALLY, want to know what Morrigan plans to do with the warden's child. She hints that it'll be epic in the dlc, but that's it. I want to KNOW what she is planning.
2) Where did Hawk and the Warden vanish to? And Why?
3) What happened to Shale? Did she ever find out if it was possible to return golem souls to living bodies? I love social akward monster characters. DLC or no she was honestly one of my favorite characters.
4) While the templer vs blood mage controvery was expanded upon in DA2, I would like to see other controvesies expanded on focus in DA3. Like the golems used as weapons of war controversy or werewolves being used as supersoldier troops in warfare. I relieze many might have cured the werewolves from the first game, but it's mentioned that there were others and I would loved to see a fermer take on the pluses and minuses disease in relation to the rest the the dark controveries of Dragon's age. How would a werewolf veiw the templar/mage issue or the darkspawn or the warlike Quinari, or dwarves experimenting on the living to create weapons of war.
5) What does Flemmith plan to do?

1) I would love to learn more about Thedas' past, particularly the Ancient Tevinter Imperium, and the mysterious Arlathan.

2) Delve more into what the Grey Wardens are doing or are involved in.

3) I would love to learn more about the Fade and magic, along with the connections with the Black City to the Darkspawn.

Thank you very much for considering the interests of the fans :)

+  The Hero of Ferelden, Morrigan and her/"our" Baby. And what happend to DA:O Elves camp?! The DA2 version it looks awful, does not even look alike.. I want tents and caravans !
I Would love to see a new ENGINE. Upgrade the graphic but keep the same design Ex ME1 - ME2!I Tho for STORYLINE - I would love to travel to Weisshaupt, and discover more about the Wardens when it comes to; there leaders, politics, goals, alliances Etc !!
And try to have some kind of Origin story, where you can choose your race. Don't force us to be only ex. Elves or Human

I do NOT want Dragon Age to be as The elder scrolls, when it comes to explore the world, freedom and Gameplay.
Go back to the roots in Origins i say! But with larger places to travel to. Ex. Like in Origins when you travel to Denerim. You want a whole city, and not these few parts you can travel to. Look at how the first 2 Assassin's Creed Games did with travel.

Why are elves so short? I hate being short, but love being an Elf. I am tall, I like being tall... let me be tall and an elf... and would it be hard to make elves look normal again?

Seriously though anything about cultural distinction would be awesome. Why are the Tevinter people jerks, the Orlesians ****s, the Ferelden smelly dog people, the Rivaini people pirate ****s, the Antivan people ****s who'll stab you in the back for funzies?

Seriously I want to know this, right now they seem kinda one dimensional and I want to know more about them so they'll stop being so cut and dry.

And can we bring back some Native American flair to the Elves, I would love that.
