No need to be afraid. I will hold the Raptor Viability line long after me3 has fallen.

Wasnt Infinite pushed back to next year?

Indeed, February 2013.

How was it boring?

It just felt like the last 12 years was ignored entirely aside from advancements in reskin technology.

If you really, really want Diablo II with prettier graphics, you'll probably love it.

Maybe this makes me some kind of "Gamer Traitor", but I didn't like Diablo 1 or 2. I didn't see anything in 3 that would make me want to pick it up.

I am.... although to be honest I left ME3 three weeks ago but have just been in limbo, grinding some Gears of War medals and what not passing the time until Diablo 3 drops.

Don't get me wrong, i loved ME3 multiplayer, i put 160 hours into it and like 40 into single player. But I dont' feel like there's anything left to achieve in the MP. I have all the kit I want, am not motivated by grinding levels and it doesn't seem like they can really add much more to MP. So I just feel like i'm done with it. It was great though, looking forward to more ME multiplayer in a future release.

Yep. I don't buy games often.
So if Borderlands 2 is a dissapointment, Its gonna be a LOONNNNNGGGG time before Im done here.
If I do end up have difficulties with playing this in the future, expect me to jump back to Star Ruler and Ufo, Enemy unkown, with a little suplimentary KF (Although, I already have trouble playing it due to it being a little easy.)

Nostalgia is a pretty powerful draw, but there's only so much you can do with a game tha plays like it's over a decade old.

Doesn't ME 3 MP play like a game over a decade old? I know Halo came out in 2001 and made regenerating shields and health popular. FPS MP has been out for over a decade, though much of what I played was group PVP.

I guess giving everyone a specific powerset is newish. And it's a TPS wherein 10 years ago, it was almost all FPS.

How would you compare it to Torchlight or Titan's Quest?

I actually heard about diablo a few years ago but never got into it. Looking at what its about on wiki does kind of catch my attention, but it doesn't seem like my kinda throw of a game. Is it multiplayer for consoles? Like what is the gameplay actually like. Might just wait till it cost ~ 30$ like every other game at gamestop that isn't CoD

It's PC only.

There's a single player element and a multiplayer element.

Indeed, but I still have fun with ME3 coop, so in a few days or weeks when the initial lust is appeased I will be sharing my love with both and others.

It's Two different types of game for goodness sakes. I play me3 because i was craving for fps/third person shooter type of game. When I feel like playing a top down view, sword and magic type of game, I will check d3 out too. I still think gw2 will be more superior. But go knows :)

I get D3 for "free" because of WoW annual pass (ironic that I haven't actually played wow for 3-4 months now...) so I'm gonna play it ofc. Doesn't mean I won't play ME3 as well as long as I keep having fun :)

I actually never played D1 and only played D2 like once thru singleplayer. If the game play is fun then I'll enjoy D3 but I got over just "grinding" for better items in WoW.

DIII looks like crap.. Id rather buy torchlight as DIII as been designed like pokemon..
for buying in an online store and nothing more..
the whole lack of customization killed it for me.

Hell. If Diablo 2's online function still works, Ill break out my old, gold edition of that. I do not have any interest in Diablo 3. Something about the 640 P sprite asthetic is simply far more eyecatching to me then the 3d games market when it comes to top down gameplay.

No. I loved D1 and D2 back in the day, but I'm not even hyped for D3. Go figure.

Skyrim has recaptured my attention right now though. Decided to roll a dark elf vampire a few nights ago (all my other characters have been werewolves) and that has proven to be a very interesting and very fun diversion away from the krogan headbutts.

I'd love to play Diablo 3 - if Blizzard could guarantee that their retarded bloody anti-piracy measures wouldn't make me lag out in a single player game. At least with ME3 I can play offline if I wish, and go online for multiplayer and to update my GAW score.

It's the power use, and RPG type builds mixed in with the TPS I guess. It's not a new concept by any means, but it feels fresh to me as an overall package.

D3 just felt old as soon as I picked it up. It really does play like a reskinned D2, or like a dozen other games that ripped off D2 since.

It's pretty much the exact same game with slightly different features. I played TQ about halfway through before I got bored, so maybe it's just the style of game I don't like.

I can imagine co-op Diablo III could be a blast when you've really got your characters set up just right and your team synergy is going mental.

Still, the way they set up the (lack of) customisation killed it for me. I won't go into details, there are plenty of BEta reviews aroudn for that.

I'm a huge Diablo fan and will definitely be clocking some hours on it.

But really, they are two totally different games. I might be in the mood for one and not the other.

Max Payne 3 and Starhawk are probably more likely competitors for my upcoming ME3MP time. ME3MP is just getting a bit repetitive for me, the loot draw is nearly non-existent because of the store and the bugs get more and more annoying as time goes on.

Still fun, this isn't a ragequit post or anything - just getting more and more meh.

I certainly won't be playing as much, but I won't stop playing ME3 MP. I have fun playing MP, though I should probably find a group or something instead of just playing with randoms.

People can play both me3 and diab3. Not a problem at
all. The only type of game that would interfere with playing
other games would be an mmo. And even for an mmo, the
player would have to buy in with a group of players that treat
games like a job. Or perhaps have an inflated idea about the
benefits of being a "super elite" mmo gamer.
