To each their own though.
Will you really leave Me3 for Diablo III?

No, I have no interest in D2 with updated graphics and a RMAH.

Not interested in Diablo 3, however I suppose I'll get entertained by exams...
Oh, and then there's Max Payne 3, but I'll probably wait for the PC release.

I'm staying with ME3 for one basic reason: I'm new to the world of gaming and I feel this is good practice ground for me. I did NOT like CoD, or other online games I've tried so far. I will always give other games a try of course, but ME3 is the game I feel I will always go back to.

I'll play both. Will still play ME3 a few hours every second day or so, mostly to save to the next dlc.

you should have made this thread about Guild Wars 2.
played the crap out of the 1st one.
but the 2nd one should be close to ME3's game play.
3rd person power spam and shooting/stabbing.
for me Guild Wars 2 is where im going to be when it comes out.

Not exactly sure what you mean leaving but no, I bought this game so I play anytime I want whenever I want to have fun, and this goes for other games too, diablo 3 etc.

No. I don't move on to the next game until I'm tired of playing the current one, and I'm still enjoying ME3. This applies no matter the hype surrounding a game. To illustrate, I haven't even played skyrim yet.

I play multiple games. It's probably going to stay that way.
I'm hoping D3 is better than it's beta.

I have no doubt that people will buy & play Diablo III.
This may affect the population of ME3 players on PC. However, it seems unlikely that the 360 population (which is quite large) will be affected by the release of a PC-only game.
D3 may seem like a bigger deal, but remember, there is a confirmation bias in that this web board is more frequented by PC players.

As a PC player i will probably drop mass effect for a while and maybe participate in the weekend operations or something.
Atleast with diablo i have a community feel somethin that misses ingame in ME3.
Stil no pc text chat and barely anyone has a headphone + only 1 game mode makes this feel pretty stale after a while.
Sure new races are nice but in the end it still the same game with the same non fixed issues with no word on them.
to people who did not like D3 beta : its only a super small part of the game you experienced so barely any skills or content.
It was basicly a demo more then a beta to check out on some features and see how the game runs on systems etc.
Hook up with some random players ,make friends or play with friends and its gonna last alot longer then ME3 MP sadly :<

Not my case, I'll remain with ME3.
Borderlands 2 and Wasteland 2 are the only ones I'm waiting right now.

Honestly people seem to be confused here. D3 WILL draw a large crowd out of ME3's MP for a time (a week or two). Then either they will continue to play both once the new DLC is released (betting we see info on it tomorrow) or if they massively prefer one, that one. Then something else will come out, rinse repeat.
It's not an all or nothing deal, and it's not a "fan bases can't be mixed! hah!" deal either. It's an: M is out now, soon D will be out to distract me for a bit, and then I will play M and D while waiting for F. And then it will repeat.

There's a bizarre mob mentality in gaming in general and with bioware games in particular that I have a difficult time understanding. I mean, if I don't like a game, I don't play it, I don't frequent its forums, I basically just don't have anything to do with it. I certainly don't spend time trying to convince other people how bad it is. But there are a lot of people that decide for whatever reason that it's a great and fun use chunks of their time to tear down games they don't like, don't play, and in some cases have never played. It's a weird new world.
