I will play ME3 occasionally but I expect D3 to be a stellar game, like everything else non-WOW that Blizzard has ever released, and I intend to play it almost exclusively for a while.

ME3 MP is so tired. I'm looking forward to going back and playing through all three SP campaigns again, maybe next year, but I'm pretty much done with MP.

Still looking forward to that last victory pack, ironically :P

well i guess i will abandon me3 for a bit while i rave through the diablo-storyline which was always the best part for me, and then well who knows, at the end of the day me3 and diablo3 are 2 completely different experiences so i will probably drop in from time to time

I'll buy D3 next month, I'm going to keep playing ME 3 and Skyrim for a little more time.

Hopefully all the farmers and crappy players will leave to play such an easymode game.

I'll still be playing ME3 from time to time, though most of my free time will probably be used to play Diablo 3 in the next little bit.

I also play a bunch of other games though, so it's not like I ever just limit myself to just 1 at a time.

Why is D3 easymode?

In the beta, monsters were only a threat to totally unarmored players.
It was basically massive parties of bronze mode vanguards against small parties of monsters with no hope of victory.

The beta was also about a third of act 1, on the easiest difficulty the game has =P

Claiming that Diablo 3 is easymode from the beta would be kind of like me saying that ME1/2's insanity mode is an absolute joke, because I could beat Eden Prime or Freedom's Progress on easy without trying.

Beta was locked into Normal difficulty.

Yeah, D3 broke the record for pre-orders on amazon.com cause it's soooooooo terrible. Which is also why D2 was still being played last year. When the hell did it become so cool to hate EVERYTHING popular?

looked at D3 when it was announced and then neversince (as a lot of friends said the things blizzard is doing is crap). Then the beta weekend came and I gave it a try and it reminded me more of D1 then D2 and that made me happy (hated D2). Will defiitely play it, the parcel is already on the way here.

I dont know for how long I will play D3, but most likely the same time as ME3 (sp+mp) but definitely not like ME2 :). WIll not play ME3 until Im done with D3 and after this, there should be the extended cut and maybe some DLCs, we will see.

@astheoceansblue no idea what you mean
In what way is ME3 different gameplaywise? it plays just like Unreal back in the 90s, like any other fps, oks its 3rd pv but what? As already stated, regenerating shields came with Halo and having a couple of "skills" isnt realy that new. Henchmen (thats what it was called earlier -> squadmates for anyone who dont know) neither. THe only thing why ME3 stands out of the FPS crowd is the setting (btw RPG elements are so darn toned down since ME2, you cant even call it an RPG anymore and if you do, you have to call D1-3 RPG too) between all the COD and BF games.

So and you have a problem with "customization" ?What one? Want to have the D2 skilltree back? For what? THere were 1-2 paths for every class and EVERYONE skilled that way, the skilltree was useless. Now you have left attack, right attack and 4 hotkey skills. Per level you get a skill activated and you can assign it, later on you get runes to empower your skills. As you can have only 6 actived at one time, thats quite enough "customization" because you know what? D3 is just an action-rpg (hack n slay) on the other hand, ME3 is just a shooter-rpg. Whatever, you may have your opinion ;).... oh and one last thing, the customization of attributes did sound bad to me, but during beta it didnt bother me ONE bit (and as comparison to Skyrim... TES Arena/Daggerfall have had a billion of various stats you could customize and that had an effect on your char, and now look at Skyrim... nothing left. Even Oblivion had more)

Whatever, I will enjoyed ME3 (minus the ending) and I will enjoy D3 and I will play it for the next 10 years, the next interesting title is about to hit the shelves in a couple of months. And you know what, people will ask "will you leave D3 because of xy?"

I'm gonna check Diablo 3's first forum posts and a little commentary before deciding whether it's worth it.

And even if I do get it, I'll still visit the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, so don't worry.

There's nothing forcing me to play just one game after all!

I'm pretty sure it happened somewhere around the beginning of time.

It's always been "cool" to hate on the things that are popular to quite a few people.

Of course, that is also a standard response to someone hating something that is popular. I hate CoD, but not because it's popular.

I try to live and let live. I'm not the biggest COD fan in the world, but EVERY sequel outsells the previous one and winds up with some ludicrous 1st week sales record. Obviously they're doing SOMETHING right even if it's not for me. And yet you have this whole segment of people that think COD is the worst thing ever made. If it was the worst thing ever made it'd be Dai Katanna and no one would friggen buy it.

Marketing is a very powerful tool but it can only do so much.

I do think it's doing something right, as I have often said a game that sells that much can't be doing it that wrong(Usually when talking about WoW, though). I personally find the game to be not for me, though a lot of people instantly jump for the "You're just hating on it for being popular!" when I say that.

Also, I think E.T. beats out Dai Katana as the worst game of all time =P

I'm not getting D3, so no. But I expect ME3's MP servers to be pretty damn barren by midnight tonight.

Because this is a gaming message board and if someone isn't interested in a game, they have to insult it and everyone who plays it.
