It would be great if Bioware could produce another DAO or BG2 quality game every 12 months. Heck, lets be greedy and ask for one every 6 months. The only thing is, their past record shows that they need much more time than that to do it right. If they were not so determined to go heavy on the cinematics and voice acting, especially a voiced protagonist, they would be able to do a lot more in a shorter amount of time, but the time and resources those two "flash" items take, drains away what can be used on the meat of the game, which is the story and the combat system.

Release Dragon age 3 when its done and the best it can be and it will make its money back plus profit.
If your desperate for money, make some DLC or just ask people to fund you. A great many works of art have public funded.

People still care about crisis?
Crysis 2 sold 3 million and made full use of tesselation technology without the same performance issues that Batman had. Crytek just allowed MP to be filled with cheaters and that killed the community.

I'd rather see them get back to the series being the Madden of RPGs, a new one every year. If the writing, and the focus, had been as it should have been, they had plenty of time to make DA2 awesome. Look how long it took them to make awesome DLC, not that long. They took their eye off the ball, did some really dumb stuff, and DA2 suffered for it, time wasnt really the issue that folks seem to think it was. From what Ive heard, it sounds like DA3 is going to be the awesome game that DA2 could've and should've been, because the focus is back where it belongs. A strong storyline, beautiful graphics, great characters. Hopefully it will be the best of the series, and we'll have lots of DLC and stuff as well, all within the next year or so.
I admire your confidence.

I hope it doesnt come out until late 2014 at the earliest.
I'm not concerned about release windows. I'm concerned about the game not getting enough time. I fully believe Dragon Age 2 would have been a better game if it hadn't been rushed out so quickly. And I suspect that if DA3 gets the same treatment, we'll be in the same place.

I do not want them to release in 2013, but not because of the reasons the OP gave. It is not likely I would play any of those games. I would prefer a 2014 or later release because I am worried that the quality of the game will suffer if they attempt to push it out into the market that quickly, especially with the rumours that members of the DA team are being sent to help with SWTOR content.

Yes, I'd rather they take the time to include as much as possible and have them release it when it's truly done. I don't mind the voiced protagonist, but would like my conversations to be more frequent than cinematics. Some cinematic stuff I enjoy, but I hope they don't over do it.

Yup, definitely as late a release as possible. Quality is tied to development time, and no way do I want another DA2. If it's released in 2013 I'm getting a cheapo fourth hand copy a year later. Late 2014 I'll be willing to consider buying it at full price. 2016+ and I'm pre-ordering
