I think the Vanguard did fine, given that all he had was Biotic Charge and whatever weapon they had. Maybe if the rest of the team had biotics, it could have worked.

I don't pick classes for things like that unless we have a specific goal in mind, otherwise, it is just for fun.

The group composition wasnt "optimal", but I normally play to have fun, not to min / max and number crunch. It was pretty fun carrying that guy though his first game in multiplayer, and gold at that. He gave it his best effort.

Those two LvL1 and LvL4 joined after a wave 3 when host Disconected and only 2 of us stayed in the match. They were not bad but they characters were weak their weapons and powers did little to no damage but they were still a good decoys . Only reason we lost is that i got impaled by banshee and the other adept could not solo through rest of wave 9.

You died as well... the ss is a fail on wave 10. You didn't make it to 11 so you didn't get any extraction at all. If there were 10 enemies then why didn't you use a rocket rather then trying to activate a device with 10 enemies around you on gold.

why some players hate low level players so much? it's a team co-op, is that a problem to help each other? it's a game -> meaning: for fun, so where's the problem, I wouldn't care if I was the only 20lvl player and the others had lvl1 or lvl3 or whatever, even if we loose so what, it wasn't the last game, and it helps those people very much, and the sooner they get higher levels the sooner they will be better in playing, I don't get why people get so agressive, negative over this, it's just a game nothing more.... phew grow up

It's not hate for low level players.
It's hate for them ignoring common sense.

I welcome with my open hands low level (both as character & N7) players on bronze and help them any way I can.
If the player has lvl 16 and tries silver, while other 2 players present a bit higher stats, I also have no problem with that. Let them try, in the worst possible scenario we'll manage without him/her.

But on gold it's just pure arrogancy. To be killed with fire.

I admit going on gold with lvl1 is a bit wierd but the amount of health and shields is the same at lvl1 and lvl20 with some characters, power based, you just don't put the points into fitness and have the same amount of health/shields so survivality is not much of an issue, and soldiers for example are mainly about weapons so, I know it's not much of an argument but, I believe that when you play on public games, you play just for fun, when you want to achieve something you play with friends private game,
but I probably am not much of a hardcore gamer

p.s. anyway no hard feelings, I just think some people take it too seriously

p.p.s. and the same goes for people who kick other players just because they use the same class, I mean why? you want to take it super-seriously, play private game with super-serious friends, I once player with 3 krogan soldier, I was a female/human engineer, and it was great fun watching them headbutting each other :innocent:
again, it's just a game

We've all been that Vanguard at some point in our gaming history.

More recently, I was 3 weeks ago, in this very game, AS A VANGUARD.

Needless to say, I've vastly improved and now spend my days Falcon Punching Brutes and setting fire to the rain.

again, it's just a game

I don't have the time to build a vast number of friends on the console or have the possibility to play with them at the same time, so I do only public matches (96%).
And I don't mind,because great players can be found there.

With a lvl 1 character, you just don't stand a chance on gold. Whether we're talking about health/shields or your powers. It doesn't matter if you're using a Widow, Black Widow or Valiant. You just need to level up your char before doing so (at least to level ~10-12, that doesn't take much).
Players trying to do gold on very low levels are leechers and should be killed with fire.

Usually, such games require the whole team to cooperate and rely on each other. With a noob running with Avenger II it's just frustrating, that all they do is die constantly. You don't revive such guy if he's not next to you, on the ground.

People tend to stiffen up without no serious need online, but that's just how internet rolls

I was kicked from gold only when I was around 100 and with low level characters. Since then I have never experienced a kick, because if I try to join a lobby going for gold, I'm already prepared.

yeah, I am quite new to the online playing, so I was surprised some people are just angrier than is normal
for me ME3 multiplayer is just for relaxation and fun

also, big hug for OP for not being an elitist douchebag with a bigger stick up up his butt than turian mall cop.  playing video games used to be all about having fun ever since i tossed my first turtle on a NES (actually, before that came Pong which my cousin owned, little chinese one game handheld devices that basically just let you  move your character left of right to evade objects, and arcades, but those were rare and not open to kids in the swiss countryside of the outgoing 80's) (yeah, swissneyland was a bit behind the moon back then, so even though the NES came out in 83 it didn't make it's way to us until years later), but nowadays people take gaming so damn serious you'd think they are forced to play.

Don't get me wrong, i'm no Buddah myself and i'll have those moments too when i get mad about other players, but not if they just lack the experience to be skilled in a game. it takes a lot more to tickle my rage mode, plus one, or even two, less skilled players add a bit of a challenge to a game that becomes quite easy the longer you play it. setting a goal for yourself to keep every one alive on every wave, and then reaching it, feels like a bit of an accomplishment in a game that lacks in that department when you play it long enough. 30 Premium Spectre Packs without a single gun sound familiar to anyone? i'm sure it does.

But yeah, I've turned away quite a few low level players from Gold, even FBWGG farms.  It is not personal, but on Gold, there is no point to bring a low-level character. Neither you nor your team will have fun if you bring anything under maybe lvl 15.

just yesterday I played Gold, three players including me were at lvl 20 and one infiltrator on lvl 4 and everything was good, he even died less times than me XD he was fourth in the amount of XP earned but it was a good game =)

That infiltrator put in a disgraceful performance. Next round he should be forced to only revive the vanguard.
