If you look at that from a certain standpoint regardless of being a woman, I woudn't consider having intimate relations with an asari necessarily homosexual. They are a race that is all female yes, but they reproduce by mating with other species and prior to that they had to mate wih eachother. There is probably a fine line but yeah, I dunno.

Yes they are female but I don't necessarily look at them as female if that makes any sence. For their way of life to continue it has to be that way. It is more of a cultural thing in the fact they can reproduce reguardless of gender and race.

So, from a technical standpoint a female Shepard engaging in relations with Liara isn't really a lesbian thing. That's just the way I see it.

Asari Arent female they are Monogendered they just have a female appearance

No dude. Regardless of what anyone tells you, or what you read in the Codex, they really are just blue alien women with head tentacles. Just trust me on this, it makes EVERYTHING simpler.

Actually, even though I am a straight woman, ME3 (didn't play the other two) really made me think about being with an asari. I think it would be such a spiritual and loving relationship. Plus I kind of have a crush on Aria :>

That's like saying that a male Shepard engaging in relations with a jacked, well-hung nudist minotaur in a leather mask isn't totally a gay thing.

Because it isn't. No sir.

It May be simpler but its not the truth, they are monogendered which is why they can reproduce with the same sex.

Let's just be honest here:

Any aliens we might have fallen for in ME universe, we'd fall for their human triaits: emotions, personalities and physiques. Garrus' and Thane's softer sides to the tough exterior, Tali's voice, the care in Liara's voice, the feelings they're engineered to inspire in players... all those are human traits.

Hell, if anyone fell for Eve, they wouldn't fall for her rheumy eyes, they'd fall for her amazingly tough character.

Sorry I may have mispoken. The Codex actually does support that they are all women, not monogendered. However I think the important concept to remember is the dev's original intent, hence, sexy blue women.

It is hard to know, as humans it seems easier to take a representation of something as attractive, much like how people find characters shown in drawings to be attractive or characters from games. But, can we honestly say that we would enjoy the sight of it in the flesh? Some will, but I have a feeling that most people who claim to be capable of being Xenosexual will in fact find it very unnerving to see an alien standing before them, even after a period of integration. Hell, even in our society which is purely Human, there are few people who universally find other ethnicities pleasing to the eye, when most of us maybe have a few we find attractive and others we have no attraction to at all.

Saying that, it is the personalities of these Mass Effect characters that we have.. well, "fallen" for, each having aspects that we find attractive. Personally, I find Tali to be very attractive, but saying that I am the kind of person who finds intelligence, kindness and a level of geekiness to be infinitely more attractive than big ******, and a cracking arse.

You are really starting to annoy me
A mono-gender race—distinctly feminine in appearance and having maternal
instincts—the asari are known for their elegance, diplomacy and biotic
talent. Their millennia-long lifespan and unique physiology that allows
them to reproduce with a partner of any gender or species, gives them a
conservative but convivial attitude toward other races. The asari were
instrumental in proposing and founding the Citadel Council and have been at the heart of galactic society ever since.

However, in the Codex it is stated that the asari are an all-female race. The Galactic Codex: Essentials Edition 2183 says that "while asari have only one gender, they are not asexual like single-celled life—all asari are sexually female", and according to Liara they also have maternal instincts. They are innately different from humans for asari can mate with other species and any gender.

You just know that the moment an extraterrestrial species is discovered, no matter how many mandibles or disgusting it looks, some nerd somewhere is going to get a boner and start going all Rule 34 about it.

Mono is a prefix that means "one" or "single."

When the codex states that the Asari are monogendered, it means that they have one gender rather than two. That one gender is female.

But they arent asexual like single celled life, Genders have no meaning to them so they're basically a genderless race with the anatomy of a Human female.

Not really. I'm more interested in the human characters and find them to be written better than most of the Aliens. I'm highly intersted in the geth however. Legion was written fantastically just like EDI. Most of the Aliens however were kind of lackluster and the ones who were good didn't get enough screen time or depth in favor of the shddy but popular ones.

Asari look like female humans, if you are a woman who likes the form of the Asari, you're bisexual or homosexual, simple as that.

Having sex with an asari just for pleasure is one thing, feeling physical attraction is what makes you homosexual/bisexual.

If a man breaks your ass and you enjoyed it, that doesn't make you gay in any way, you're having pleasure, and pleasure doesn't define sexuality.

Social prejudices =/= sexuality.

See, this is an example. You like her as person, like Kelly, who likes people for who they are and not for what they have in their pants.
