You're playing on a console, I take it?  That's the only excuse I can think of that in any way justifies your whining.  After all, this game is ridiculously easy on the PC mainly due to ****** poor AI.  That, coupled with blatant imbalances (although some of them were slightly toned down with the new patch), makes the entire game a borefest, even on the highest difficulties.

Ooh. Gosu gamer alert!

When people ask me to learn to play. Are you the one i should seek out?

Sometimes I see things get stunned while overwhelming, sometimes I don't. Could be a bug that it still shows the "Stunned!" text, even if they passed a physical resistance check while overwhelming.

It really doesn't have anything to do with me.  My entire point is that everyone can steamroll their way through this game on any difficulty, provided they put in some minimal effort.

Just went to test this on my erlier save in ruins filled with shadow wolfs, i allowed them to overwhelm me and tryed dirty fighting and mindblast, everytime i managed to stun them and animation of golden start were over their head, but they still continue to kill like a Duracell bunny.

I like the way overwhelm and similar attacks work now. They could obviously use some tweaking, and yes it is frustrating when you are helplessly devoured by mabari but it also adds to the excitement of battles.

There should be a random chance for a counterattack when being overwhelmed, as almost every move has a counter move (at least in theory).

First random encounter with wolves, I charged right in. Seconds later, it's "I'm about to get wiped out, let's quit and go to bed" (it was late).

Second random encounter with wolves, I picked them off one or two at a time. I didn't even know they could overwhelm.

Two nights ago I'm nearing the end of the Werewolves Lair (yeah, I know I'm slow). I'm out in front a bit, cautiously exploring, rest of party hanging back (I'll run back to them if it gets too hot). All of a sudden I'm surrounded by white wolves and shadow wolves and who knows what else. Run!

Wait! I'm flat on my back, being chewed to bits, can't get up. What's this--overwhelm?? Ouch, that hurts. Leave my face alone. Let go of me! I thought that's what my Marbari was supposed to do to bad mages. Helllp!

Morrigan, heal me. Leliana, toss me some potions. Quick. And Alistair, get this wolf off me, now!

I was lucky. Idiot me, I know better than to wander too far ahead.

What did I think? Awesome! That was fun! Thanks, Bioware. (But let's not do that again, OK?)

4 words: Learn to crowd control.

The real pain is crushing prison. If this is done to your healer, your mostly screwed.
