He's known for doing level 1 krogan gold duo runs and oddball challenges.  But then again, he does them with slow completion times.  *Shrug*

Considering he's not aiming and just plain spraying through smoke, yes.

I was in a Gold match with an Asari Justicar the other day. He didn't even have it maxed out for weapon damage I don't think, yet he was still doing awesome.

Anyways, he was able to kill Brutes crazy fast, and Banshees were constantly staggered when me and him teamed up on them. 1 Javelin shot + 2 Revenant shots = a stagger on a Banshee.

Sure the gun is not for the point hogs who like to get every single kill, but almost all the enemies were stuck in cover (Soon to be dead from my Javelin), and the ones that were not in cover were getting decimated.

The people who don't like it either do not know how to use it, or they obviously don't like helping their team more than helping themselves.

This also proves that it is NOT only good on a Turian Soldier/Sentinel. It works just as well with any class. (Don't say it sucks just as equally on any class, because that just means you are doing it wrong.)

Having one competent member of your team with a Revenant is almost as important as having an Infiltrator if you want to have an easy run.

I was playing public matches.

He was N7 1,500 or so though, so he was pretty good.

He didn't come in first, but he definitely helped the team a lot.

I guarantee people using the revenant (at least on a turian) will score better using the hornet.

Please, just please, learn to handle recoil before crying that it sucks!

I know it's not a "perfect" weapon, its not as accurate as it should be and has a way to low clip for it's job or it is a shame you need huntermode to make it a "perfect" weapon

But please stop saying it sucks!

It is a great and awesome weapon for a thinking offensive player that just would fare well with either a "spectre" upgrade weapon like widow to its black widow or by simply having a SMALL improved cone of fire and rate of fire boost as buff

Without amps, it kinda DOES suck. The striker has more predictable recoil that's easier to handle, and it does more damage to boot, which means the "Just add amps" argument doesn't really work because those same mods can be added to another gun for a still-better result. BW should just put it back to the way it was in ME2 with AR+7.

So ye "someone who solos gold" thats not a sign of being good for me, i did solo on each map and every fraction, always revenant on different classes

I rather have a nice team around enjoying the game working together and to make their life easier (hooray slaughtering mooks)

Wait... are people saying I can put a stability and an AP mod on my Hurricane? I never knew.

I run the Revenant on with EB and AP mods on my Turian solider (because they make every gun better) and with AP and Stability mods on my Asari Justicar. She does pretty well with it. Helped get some people their commendation packs this weekend with her.

I like to use it, but the combination of recoil and inaccuracy is probably a bit too much. It's fun but I can be more effective with other weapons. Oh well.

The accuracy is ok, the damage considering that, is definitely not.

Ive just been running tests on auto weapons with the turian soldier on gold.
The revenant stabilty(recoil)is not a problem its its almost total lack of accuracy that does it down.
I have marksman 4 specced for RoF so maybe if I spec it for accuracy the revenant will perform better.(15% better anyway)
As is it is outperformed at range by the tempest which is far more accurate.
Interestingly I can carry the tempest and carnifex with better cooldowns than the revenant alone.

The weapon has a lot of flaws. The first being that it's a full automatic weapon that requires AP ammo to make it Gold viable. The second being that its accuracy is horrible and more or less requires its use on a Turian Soldier to make it somewhat accurate. Use of it on a Turian Soldier with AP ammo just makes a bad weapon viable, it does not make a good weapon great.

Forcing enemies in cover does nothing for the team unless someone is carrying a sniper rifle with AP ammo to shoot through the cover. I've personally noticed ZERO effect on Geth as only 2 mobs take cover, and they'll be in cover whether you're shooting a stream of bullets at them or not. Also, making a Phantom jump around all over the place isn't particularly useful IMO, better to just pop them in the head once and be done with it.

I personally found the Claymore to be more useful in that it doesn't expose you as much from cover. Speaking of shotguns, the Revenant is essentially shotgun-like in its bullet spread. Outside of a Turian Soldier, it's unreliable at hitting anything at range unless it's the size of an Atlas.

+1...the revenant is more like a shotgun than most shotguns..useless at range and rather nasty close up.

Curious if the people with accuracy problems use Scope. I've taken to it, and find it pretty effective, on a Turian anyway. Scope and Dampener on others maybe. You can get semi-accurate with this combo and short bursts instead of spraying.

Still...the combo of the recoil, inaccuracy and damage...it's almost okay, but headshots rule the game.
