Everyone crying about the revenant, send me a message her and invite me to a game, take your favorite class and i see what amps i have around, we go in gold, your choice of enemy and map

You must be one of the best to kick me of spot 1.

I'd like to see you prove this gun's worth. The best Soldier I know uses it for fun sometimes, he rarely tops the board.

Unlike OP you and Flamko show videos. I will wait to see how you use Revenant. Still think that it's a waste of time, because Revenant is too gimped.

alekto is making a video right this minute, i should know, i'm in it too!

So it's 4 people. I thought I'd see solo video.

I just tried solo'ing with the Revenant on Bronze - first without the stabilizer then second round, with it on. Can't say i was impressed at all. The only good thing about the gun is I didn't have to reload very often. Even so, it took a while to kill the simplest of enemies. My carnifex would have taken each cannibal down with one or two shots even on gold. The Revenant is just like the Klobb from classis Goldeneye on the N64

Yeah, even on silver it's no more than ok, even with consummables.

I can vouch for LadyAlekto. I've seen her score 130.000 with ease. Although I dunno if it was only with the Revenant, cuz she carries 2 guns - GPS or Raptor for backup.

I have said to Alekto that it's really funny hearing her shoot somewhere on Condor like she's fighting a whole army "dakka-dakka-dakka" I come to check things out and she's fighting 1 guy xD

The Revenant is nothing but bad actually. Thats even my favorite weapon on my Turian Soldier, equal with the saber.
I use it because I find it fun to use, as well being a huge powerhouse.
I don't even need to put the stability mod on it, since the bonus of the Turian, and so I can put the increased magasine coupled with the perforant mod, and it really does an awesome "hold the line" kind of weapon.
When on a good spot, you can mash up the enemy troops without even sweating, making top board even in gold.

Of course, since the Hurricane got the huge buffs making it the most overpowered weapon in the game, along with the BW and the Valiant, this SMG is even better, but not everyone can have the chance to get it.

I wanted it since the beginning of the game, even before the buffs it got, and I even buyed the collector edition partly for it, to finally see it's all about luck and so that I am sort of f***ed right now because I will never get it in the commendation packs knowing my awesome luck with RNG, so I have to do with what I have, the Revenant.

Thanks bioware for your so fun RNG commendation packs. =]

Not bad at all! Rather fast in mowing down both mooks and armored targets. Good team helped to realise potential - low aggro. Would like to see against Cerberus!

Also, GI is the highest damage-dealer in the game - could you please showcase with some soldier?

I like the idea of putting a clip on it to basically let it shoot forever if you have a team.

With all due respect for the shown skills, still Claymore headshot brings marauders down faster (1 shot, actually) while exposing you to the fire less. Ravager is 2 shot with AR, brute - 1 extra AR shot. So yes, ok gun, solid skills, but not something to jump to.

The video demonstrates that Marauders like to roll uselessly or stagger while she sprays it over their heads, and the exposure thing isn't a problem on an arranged team where you're not going to be taking fire from every side most of the time.

Ok... so you post a video of you doing decently with the Revenant. But guess what? You could have done better with a Phaeston....

Okay, I'm pretty sure that's hyperbole.  The Phaeston does not have the kind of pure damage for taking down heavy targets that fast.  The Revenant isn't bad at all on a GI for fire support.  This should be evidenced in both my video with pubs and reconfirmed in Alekto's video with an arranged team, even if she cut the score off the end.

Well, as I said before, "good team -> low aggro".
As for Marauders, you use what you can :) If they are scared of Revenant, that's definitely a plus to the weapon in my book.
Still see my Claymore doing the job faster and safer.

Agreed, Claymore does it in one shot and you only need to poke out for an instant.  Then again, Alekto's build clearly has advantages for team games due to the fact that she can fire just about all day with 108 bullets in the clip.  The Claymore is more forgiving when it comes to being exposed as a squishy Geth, but the Revenant will be more forgiving with missing, reload cancelling, et cetera.

Honestly, the damage difference isn't that much. But the Phaeston can get more headshots in a cloak cycle. And then there is the ability to add an AP mod and Barrel mod. Then add in AP ammo.

It really doesn't take longer, it takes less time and you can get more shots on "target" from a greater distance. Sooooo..., nope no hyperbole. Just stating the obvious. The ONLY enemy this wouldn't be true on is a Banshee since it has no weak point. Unless for some reason you shoot her in the head with a Kishock.

476 to 871 is about an 80% damage improvement over the Phaeston, and the weight is a non-issue for an Infiltrator.  And the headshots aren't doing a lot of favors against the heavies.

The real competitor is the Hurricane, which trades off an AP mod slot and clip size for more burst damage, lighter weight, and greater movement speed.  Also not sure if it staggers as much.

476 to 871 is a >80% damage improvement over the Phaeston.  And the headshots aren't doing a lot of favors against the heavies.  Can you even headshot brutes without a Kishok?   I know you can't for Banshees.

476 to 871? Where are you getting these numbers and what are they based off? DPS? Because if it's DPS that's theoretical DPS at best because it "assumes" that you are getting all the bullets on target. Which the Revenant has a damn hard time doing at anything further out than buttsecks close.

Your DPS will be MUCH higher with a Phaeston because you will get MANY more ACCURATE headshots. Which the Revenant cannot because it will miss over half the time.

Theorectical DPS < Reality DPS

This was something I learned waaaaay back in Borderlands.. Where the highest theorectical DPS in the game is an Anarchy weilding Merc Siren. But in reality the highest DPS is an AR650 Ajax Ogre weilding Brick.

It is not hard to hit a Brute or Ravager with an accuracy boosted Revenant.

Likewise, it's extremely easy to just nail down on their weak spot and nearly double your DPS with constant weakspot shots from something much much more accurate.

What weak spots?   A Bioware dev told me you can't get headshots on Brutes (except with the Kishok for some reason).

I can hit an Atlas's cockpit with a Revenant.  Or anything really.  That thing is the size of the broad side of a barn.
