With 4 people hacking you get more experience, more money and faster hacking. The answer is obvious.

You don't get more money. 20 seconds faster is neglible. The extra XP is laughable. Nothing obvious here.

You get a credit bonus for faster time. So you do get more money. You would know that if you hacked instead of caring only about kills. So yea, answer is still obvious.

No, because 3 people in the hackzone is still enough to earn the extra credit bonus. Dick.

The more people hacking the faster it hacks. The faster it hacks the greater the time bonus. The greater the time bonus the more money you get. Or are you not capable of grasping this concept. I know numbers are difficult for some but take your time and you'll figure it out. Read slowly if you have to.

So say for example you're on reapers / BF giant, wave 6, risking a wipe or wasting missiles is worth about 1k credits at most? Get the **** out you completely senseless div.

Whats with the hostility. Take it easy bro. Don't be mad because I proved you wrong. I'm right and you're wrong. Get over it. People make mistakes all the time. You should be used to it by now. Take a chill pill bro.

The only thing you've proven is that you'd gladly flame a player who may have just saved your group from wiping, saved you some missile launchers, and then proceed to try and vote kick him after the round is over, despite the fact he was probably carrying someone such as you, just for the sake of 1000 credits at maximum. And I'm pretty sure the time bonus is always the same amount of credits as long as it's done within a set time, and you will get that time bonus with just 3 people hacking. So.. your argument is utterly invalid. Crank dat?

And I'm "hostile" because I can't stand stubborn and obnoxious people like you, who may I add, started acting like a bratty little 12 year old first because I pointed out your argument was flawed. :)

Yes, even when everyones drying and may even wipe, you're still getting that extra 1000 credits.
It's my logic that is definetly flawed. *bangs head against wall*
Also, if you're bleeding out.. it does not count towards the hack.. but yeah I'm totally going to trust the opinion of a player with no N7's and no golds at X level yet.
I hope to God I never have to have a scrub like you in a game with me.

OP I'd concede that there are instances where having one person outside the zone might be better. But in practice I've had far more wipes and missions failed during a hack objective because people weren't all in the zone. I've had people die way away from the zone and been left there all alone gotten overrun and had to kite around back to the zone. I'm not sure the size of the problem matches the vehemence with which you are arguing against it.

Maybe you should stop using insults like a 12 year old little ****got on a playground and come back when you can provide some actual facts (stuff that isn't made up) and make some valid points on this matter.
Otherwise no one in the right mind will take anything you say seriously, especially when the people you quote don't even have enough gear to run a gold game with out probably having to be carried.

If it's an infiltrator he should be fine. If he can't survive, Then he really shouldn't be in gold anyway.
Yeah but as I've said, no this isn't always the best option, nor is it often a valid tactic. Just on the odd few particularly tough hackzones it would be advised.

You can split in 3/1 or 2/2 to ease off pressure from the hack zone. It takes longer and it's not guaranteed; if the decoy/cover team goes down. Still, it's doable this way.

You can 4 man the hack zone and make it go faster. If the team works in tandem, you may not even need to use missiles.

My friends and I 4 man the wave 10 hack zones now and just missile everything. Goes by quick and it's a pretty much guaranteed easy finish.

What's more important is not which strategy is correct, but what works for you and the team. And before you start blabbing about wasting missiles, if you choose to hoard them then go right ahead. But it's backwards to try and say people are wrong for being willing to use their missiles to the benefit of the team.

I posted this already. But due to your ignorance you probably forgot about it because it proves you wrong. But here you go.

The more people hacking the faster it hacks. The faster it hacks the
greater the time bonus. The greater the time bonus the more money you
get. Or are you not capable of grasping this concept. I know numbers are
difficult for some but take your time and you'll figure it out. Read
slowly if you have to.

The more players in the hacking zone, the faster the objective is over... there are infinite enemies until the objective is finished, you're not helping by trying to go solo. OP's bizarre claim that hack zones have no cover is just wrong. There is cover in every hack zone.

It's annoying when players are outside of the hack zone because they are making the wave take longer, reducing the credit bonus for completion, and they're probably going to die because they're lonewolfing on gold. When they die they will be covered in enemies so it's a pain to revive them, not to mention that if I leave the hack goes even slower. Then, all the enemies are coming to the hack zone anyway. Brilliant, it ain't.

I will shoot other players if I see them outside the hack zone. Eventually their screaming avatar will give them a hint. If not then I hope it's wave three so I can leave before too much time is being wasted on bad squads.

And I've already told you that this is infact wrong. Come back with evidence to support this.
The time bonus is always the same. You only need 3 people to achieve the time bonus. Is that hard to understand?

Read nothing but BS here, sorry. Either you don't play much reapers / gold matches, or you think I'm talking about bronze and silver.
And I've said this about a million times already but for the sake of people who can't be bothered to read properly, not ALL hackzones will always require this tactic. Only a small percent will.

But argument of "hurrr liek moar ppl in hackzone better bcuz its faster!!1" is a poor argument. It's not always as simple as faster the better. But I have to keep in mind half the people on these forums are indeed simple. Yes, it's faster. Yes, you will also take a **** ton of damage that you likely can't handle on the harder hackzones.
I'm sick of saying this also, but again, for the sake of people who CAN'T READ, you WILL receive the same credit bonus with only 3 people hacking.

No, there are no zones set up to make it easier to defend when one person is lonewolfing and the other three are left holding the zone. It's easier when everyone is together because of combined firepower from the entire squad. The only issue is when enemies spawn adjacent to the zone, and that has nothing to do with enemy type or zone location. Maybe you're right that three can get it done with optimal credit bonus, but it's plain fact that four players make it go faster than three.
The only way Reapers would be a factor is if your entire squad is made of infiltrators or engineers with mid tier skill, and they have little or no crowd control. Play another class.

LOL! Ok, so I will say it.. YET AGAIN, for the sake of people who do not read the posts here before they post their input.
I said, many times, this tactic should be used when the mobs are spawning too close to the hackzone. Which on gold is quite often.

No, adjacent means when the enemy spawn and hack zone are sharing the same physical border. Most of the time this is not the case.

Yes it is quite common actually, even if only only for the first few waves, and there are still many spawn points where this tactic is essential versus reapers inparticular.

You are somewhat wrong.
People on gold tend to stay together.
If this is true (and it IS true), two things can happen when a hacking starts.
Case A: you are lucky, and the hacking zone is very close to the position you were staying in before the wave started. In this case scenario, enemies will most likely spawn far away from the hacking (and you are free to stay there together)
Case B: you are unlucky and the hacking zone is NOT close to your position. In this case scenario, enemies will ALWAYS spawn on the closest (free) spawn point to the hacking zone.

Since there usually are 4 hacking spots on each map and provided you are camping on one of these spots, there is a 25% chance of you being lucky, and a 75% chance of you being unlucky.
