I'm actually having a tough time understanding the significance of the "rebar impaling shepard's leg" thing. Especially if it was a deleted scene.
How does that relate to the theory?

I want to include it, but don't understand it at all. xD

Sorry it took so long, I can't seem to actually find a source for the first leak, but it basically had four different ways the conduit scene played out. I found this quote but if anyonecan find the source let me know cause it may not be legit.

"Designer Cutscene:
Shepard comes to.
A handful of survivors from hammer, including Anderson and the henchmen, have gotten bogged down just a few dozen meters from the conduit and have dug in, but are dying quickly.
Suddenly, the Normandy streaks overhead, evading fire fromthe Reaper and blowing a hole in the Reaper enemies' lines.
Anderson shouts for Shepard to make a run for it, and orders the rest of Hammer to cover him."

The outcomes to this where as follows.
1: "Shepard and Anderson approach the conduit's beam. Shepard gets in, but Anderson is grabbed by a husk. Shepard turns to help, but before he can do anything, the beam activates, whisking Shepard away to the Citadel. On the other side, Shepard tears the metal from his leg and casts it aside, and then injects himself with Medigel."

2:"Shepard comes to. Anderson is dragging him forward. A jagged, bloody piece of metal is sticking out of his thigh. The conduit anchor retracts, stranding the henchmen. Shepard tries to walk, but his leg buckles. Anderson hands Shepard his pistol, and lifts Shepard's arm around his neck, supporting his leg. The two begin to shuffle towards the conduit beam."

3: "Designer Cutscene: Shepard limps to the conduit, and takes one final look around for other survivors. Seeing none, he enters the beam and is transported to the citadel."

4: "Shepard regains consciousness. He's bloody, and obviously badly injured. The Reaper is overhead, blasting away at retreating elements of Hammer. Shepard looks around: he's surrounded by burning vehicles and corpses, alone. He reaches for a syrette of medigel, but finds them broken or empty. Determined, he struggles to his feet, and starts limping towards the conduit."

Again, this isn't souced, so I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S LEGIT, if anyone can confirm somehow, I would appreciatte it.

And if you guys can see, it looks like there is indeed a metal rod peirced through Shep's leg.

EDIT: OH yeah, Credit to MegumiAsuza for the pic.

EDIT2: I doubt that the Hammer soldiers were reffeed to as "henchmen", might be paraphrased, got this quote from here, this person doesn't seem aware of the metal in the leg's significants so I wonder were this person got the information from.

EDIT3: I guess the gamefiles refer to to your squadmates as "henchmen" so the script above is a little more legit than I originally thought.

Hey OP. If at all possible, include the info on the effects of indoctrination and how it can manipulate you from the inside from the perspective of one James Grayson from the Retribution novel. Good info in there that can hint at other things. Where am I going with this? Read it, and you'll figure it out. ;)

I would also choose to polish the original. You say "Last thing on subject X" 3 times in a row. Yuck.

Also, I'd remove the argument on "It's Just A Machine"; it has nothing to do with your thesis, and you spend five minutes on it.

Shepard's gun appears in his hand at the end, and then changes to a different one...

I spent about 30 seconds on it. Then say you don't have to agree with me. Then jump to another topic that proves the same exact point that I was getting at.

Here, look CLOSELY at the details of the gun, it changes from a carnifex to a predator MID-SCENE when you choose destroy.

Hey everybody,

I just have a quick question for all of you fans out there: How about a follow up video?
After the release of the video and the incredible feedback I've been receiving from everybody, I was thinking about doing a possible "part 2" or follow up to the video, now that I've learned a lot more from all of you.

There are some new pieces of evidence, some old, and some things I just blatantly left out because I wasn't sure about them. I'll be fair in my warning here: A lot of this will end up looking like it's "grasping at straws" even more than usual. But some of them are definitely interesting to discuss.

I've had a lot of people ask me "why didn't you include x", x being about 50 different things. So I figured, fine, why not include them if everybody wants an analysis of them?

But I don't want to go slaving away on another video without everybody's input first. This one would NOT be an hour and 20 minutes. It would likely be closer to, or even under, 20-30 minutes. But you never know, I could get carried away again...

My biggest worry is that people are going to watch THAT video instead, thinking that is what everybody has been talking about, and be all "wtf is this nonsense".

Your input? =]

I have another idea. Why not get someone who can properly argue against the Indoctrination Theory and the plausible points made in the first. And Im not saying that because I hate the theory but because I wanna hear the other side of the speculation. All too often I see people whom constantly either defend the theory blindly or those who attack it without context. Let's try and fix that. And that way neither side looks like a bunch of biased fanatics.

I do have to admit that ever since Drew left Bioware the quality at Bioware has been kind of spotty, to say the least. Heh, perhaps if Drew was still there Deception wouldn't have been the disaster that it turned out to be. Oh, well. In any case, there are a few vids on youtube that "try" to debunk the I.T. but they, like the Theory itself, relies on debatable and often circumstantial evidence. Jeez, everyone here should be getting minors in law after this drama is over and done with. There are days I feel like we're in episode of JAG where we are debating facts all the time. :P

I dunno about that, since when was medi gel in a syrette?

Also gunna need a higher res pic or closer up with more detail, because that is so blurry it's unbelievable...

Yeah, I'm still questioning the validity of it, This was the best pic I can find as I am on xbox for this game.

Heh, that one irks me as well, since there is NO precedent for anyone being immune its effects. Resistant maybe but outright immunity? No. And even if, and I am stretching the word as far as it will go, IF Shep was somehow immune to its pyschological effects, there is still the lingering issue of the collateral damage that indoctrination causes to the brain, which IS canon and has been since ME1. In addition, brain damage tends to make people kind of fruit-loopy. Ah, ok, I'm gunna take another look at the scene myself on youtube, let me know if you find a better pic.

Edit: I took a quick look myself, there is in fact a wire/rebar (wharever you believe the metal is) in the vacinity of what appears to be Shepards leg, although the shot is very dark so you can't actually see any penetration, if someone could brighten the shot at a good quality it would be easy to make it out.

Coming from someone who b****** about the IT every chance they get. Thanks for the compliment. :)

I never tell people to **** off when discussing IT ^_^

I do.

Hell, I tell people to F*ck Off when discussing the WEATHER.

'What a lovely, bright sunny day.'

'F*ck off, melanoma is no one's friend.'

Or how about fine wines.

'Ah, this vintage has a  robust, heavy feel to the palette.'

'F*ck off, it's bat urine.'

Why I can even do it when exchanging affection.

'I love you.'

'F*ck off, I'm seeing your sister.'

Comparitivly, Anit-IT'ers are easy.

'Blah, blah, false, blah, blah, corrections, blah, implications of inherent superiority of moral position just because, blah.'

'F*ck off you manipulative git.'

See?

Easy.

And surprisingly cathartic.

And no piece of fiction has ever tricked it's audience before.

And a VI Shep meets before the indoctrination attempt doesn't say Shep is indoctrinated.

Wow! The evidence against indoctrination is really piling up! :?
