Not seeing it.

look at the eyes in dreman9999's banner, then look closely at edi's eyes, they have the exact same pattern

How come Saren got shiny blues when Benezia and Shiala get nothing. I call sexism.

True, but Saren had the same (albeit lower resolution) eyes, and Shepard suddenly develops the same eyes in the control and synthesis endings. So obviously it indicates something. Perhaps it's an indication of reaper tech, instead of indoctrination. That would account for EDI's eye pattern (which aren't quite the same - they aren't glowing like TIM's).

Edit:
That would also explain why others who are indoctrinated, like Bennezia, didn't have glowing blue eyes.

They’re cybernetic eyes. TIM lost his originals at some point.

I actually added some brown-gold cybernetic eyes to Eevs in both ME2 and ME3 just for the hell of it.

Edit: And no, it’s got 0 to do with indoctrination. Play in 1080p, you’ll actually see the difference.

Indoctrination doesn't do anything to you physically, it just corrupts your mind. The eyes that Saren, TIM, and EDI all have are synthetic/implants, same goes for the rest of the cerberus fellas that you fight.

well the illusive man had them, and he was indoctrinated, saren had them, and he was indoctrined, shepard has them if you choose blue or green (assuming the IT is true) then he was indoctrinated also. Those were the only people who had that pattern in their eyes before i noticed this

Renegade Shepard has UPSIDEDOWN indoctrination eyes.

Spooky.

I just find it strange that she only has these eyes during this scene, i couldnt see it during the rest of the game, and dr. eva core's eyes look perfectly normal.

They're not indoctrinated eyes. They're synthetic implants that the Illusive Man and Dr. Eva shared because, *gasp*, they used the same supplier that manufactured those eyes (ie. Cerberus).

They're not the same.  They just look very similar if you don't look closely.

It's also possible that the nifty model for those eyes, which go in any eyeshape, gets reused. And fllipped upsidedown, color values changed, ect.

A lot.

This is the sort of thing nature intends to prevent artists from going crazy and gnawing their computers/tablets to death. As they render 300 unique eyemodels.

That being said, I think normal irises have just one or two models, too... Right?

Everything after the Prothean Beam on Eden Prime in ME1 was a hallucination. That Prothean beam was indoctrinated. At the end of ME3 Shepard wakes up on Eden Prime. True story

Could just be how synthetic implants look in the mass effect universe. Shepard has the upsidedown version (visible if renegade!), and if you like the peeling away the layers interpretation of those eyes in the blue/green ends, they pin into 'normal' synthetic eyes. The same as EDI's and TIM's.

They're different. And even if you wanted an explanation as to why Saren and TIM have the same eyes: a lot of Cerberus' tech is based upon Reaper tech. But that's at a stretch and an idea I'm not willing to advocate.

"Indoctrinated eyes" are a non-canon hypothesis a fan created and others jumped on the bandwagon about. If they are the sign of indoctrination then why do the majority of indoctrinated characters not have them?

Matriarch Benezia was clearly and heavily indoctrinated who had normal asari eyes. QED: they're synthetic eyes.
