I'm tired and bored of Tali

I'm replaying ME3, and something I noticed is that Jack, unlike any other ME2 squad member, was fully redesigned (with magnetic weapons holsters and everything). It's obvious BioWare seriously considered to make her a full time squad member in ME3, yet, for some "mysterious" reason, that didn't happen. Then I remembered how one of the writers (Weekes I think) said during PAX that at first Tali wasn't even supposed to be a full squad member in ME3, and I started to wonder if they ditched Jack in order to save/create the resources and assets to include Tali (yet again).

It's time to let Tali go and let other characters have some development, to be honest I'm bored of Tali, not only I find her dull, but she's also already been included in three games and, worst yet, I'm convinced Jack was sacrificed in order to include Tali in ME3.

At least I'm hoping that during the EC they do justice for Jack (and the ME2 squad).

The vast majority of players like Tali. Which is why she's a squaddie in ME3.

That's the simple truth of it.

I am glad they kept tali but jack should be brought back since they made her better not just by redesigning her apperance but she was even cooler this time

It was Chris Priestly who said that Tali was selected as squad member because of popularity. Then Jessica Merizan said it's not true. So yeah, make up what you want of it. In that "Unofficial interview with Weekes" thingy (I think it was there), Patrick Weekes did indeed apparently say that they had a hard time deciding who to bring to squad from ME2 and they decided for Tali & Garrus again because uhrm... "you've had them since the beginning. So yeah.

Well, she's not there for all that much of the game.

Define "vast majority" you mean BSN or the real world? because most people playing ME2 romanced Miranda.

I'm not, but I agree that it might be time to scale back some of original squad. I feel like EDI was the only ME2-origin character that got to shine (which I absolutely loved) and that's only because we needed a sympathetic synthetic.

Sucks to say it because I'm in an epic bromance with Garrus, but my former squad mates need some love. And I'm not just saying that because I'm bitter about losing Thane and Miranda.

Well, but we're still in time to try to get the ME2 team the spotlight in the EC.

I heard somewhere, I think the ME wiki, said Tali was put in the squad due to fan popularity.

Your logic doesn't make sense to me. If this were true you might as well argue that the vs took up too much room for miranda. Or garrus took up to much resources so they couldn't get grunt.

Meh Jack was s**t.
Tali is better aside from retarded image used.

Miranda, Samara, Morinth, Legion, Grunt, Wrex, Kasumi and Zaeed all deserved that spot more than Jack.
Jack == Jacob

@SuperVulcan whatever the reason is, she is already overused. I want to see other characters developed and I hope the EC gives them the chance they deserve.

By that logic Liara and Garrus are overused.

Blasphemy, you can never have too much Tali.
But I agree that they did not do justice by the ME2 Love interests that weren't in ME1. But I also think all the LI's didn't have as much focus as in ME2

It's funny how opinions work, I find Tali to be the most boring member in the entire franchise. Jack on the other hand is intriguing, and although she was shown for like a nanosecond in ME3 she showed more development and character progression in those few minutes than Tali during her three games.

Jack is highly uninteresting.
She's crazy and likes bondage, big deal.
Unlike Tali jack has nothing to add to the story.
