Get over it. People who dislike Tali are the minority.

Like I said, there are two types of Mass Effect fans.  Those who love Tali, and those who haven't yet admitted that they love Tali.  ;)

Goddamn, am I the only normal person/non-Talimancer left in this thread?

BACKUP? SOMEBODY! I NEED HELP!

If it's any consolation, I don't like Liara and I'm at best pretty much neutral on Tali. I was going to get set on fire if I stayed here too long anyways.

I liked Jack and Tali in ME3, but alas, squaddie screentime was always going to be spread thin after all the potential deaths in ME2.

Dammit, I go to have me some sleep and you guys had to turn a perfectly tolerable characterization discussion thread into a chatbox, didn't you? I'm not playing with you no more.

I agree that Jack has had the most character progression from ME2 to ME3 and out of all the ME2 squad mates her miranda and thane should have had larger roles but there characters did not really and anything to the story, Miranda being the only one with a story arc that really had any effect link with ME3 plot. (Maybe thane but lets face it his role could of been played by any character)

The squad mates we got I feel were a clear attempt to give shepard more feeling and direct link to what he/she is fighting for being that it was mainly squad mates that have been with you all the way through the series you might care for them more.

This thread has attracted more tali-haters/trolls then flies on sh!t.

What's laughable is the OP isn't out to express an opinion, but actually trying to CONVINCE talimancers why she should be removed.

I don't know whether to consider that an epic fail, win, or troll.

That's the simple truth of it.

Define "vast majority" you mean BSN or the real world? because most people playing ME2 romanced Miranda.

Yeah, horny teenager boys :D

Tali and Garrus stick with ME because they are popular, you cant change it or deny it. Both are very Interesting and good friends."I cant imagine anyone else on my side, you two have always supported me when no body else did - We are in this......together"

Id take Grunt, Samara or Zaeed rather than Jack, hell even i could take Kasumi. Jack falls nearly same gategory for me where Jacob and Kaidan already sits.Group name is called uninteresting boredom trash can, just a joke, but you get the idea.

Besides, the main point is that she was already in three games and now it's time for other characters to get some development instead of keep wasting resources on her.

What about Garrus? And Liara? Because following your logic, they're "wasting resources" as much as Tali is.

Guess what, they also were overused, but at least they're interesting and add to the story. With that said, I wouldn't mind if they get less content during the EC in favour of the ME2 cast.

The ME2 cast deserves justice.

Spoken like a true fan and yet you have no idea what you talking about,

Liara adds nothing to story. Her character is changed in everygame to just keep her in game. In ME3 she offers nothing to story, just useless in Normandy. Would be great to get her help building that magic weapon.

I can agree that we need more content for ME2 squadies but its not Tali's fault, limit Liara's screen time and give some of it for Grunt ;)

I'm replaying ME3, and something I noticed is that Jack, unlike any other ME2 squad member, was fully redesigned (with magnetic weapons holsters and everything). It's obvious BioWare seriously considered to make her a full time squad member in ME3, yet, for some "mysterious" reason, that didn't happen. Then I remembered how one of the writers (Weekes I think) said during PAX that at first Tali wasn't even supposed to be a full squad member in ME3, and I started to wonder if they ditched Jack in order to save/create the resources and assets to include Tali (yet again).

Nobody was supposed be a full time squadmate again accept Vega, Liara, and the VS. Plans change.

Really? Im glad they changed their minds. Would have been hilarious to run with mister and miss boredoms trough all game

Even if you were right, what does the romance of one character have to do with your opinions of another character?

I want to know who in Bioware thought it was a good idea to cut the squad down to 5.

And then throw a shoe at them.

She's now a teacher with a squad of inexperienced students to guide?

It was perfect amount number for ME1.

ME1 was about getting small team to follow Saren and eliminate him, but it turned to be whole scale war between Sovereign and Council Citadel

That 5 (6) is stupid small amount squadmembers for ME3, its whole galaxy scale war and many of old squaddies could have been in Normandy.

Grunt, Samara and Zaeed basically dont do nothing after their missions, would be nice to get them to squad.
Thane dies, Miranda dies, Jack takes care about her noobs and Kasumi works with Crusible so i understand they cant join Normandy

Not bashing anyone, just making my opinion in same comment as quote comment ^_^

If you bought the DLC.

And I hated the squad in Mass Effect so that's lost on me.

Totaly agree with the op.

The squad was just one of the many aspects of ME3 BioWare completly butchered.

OP is like whiny kid on camp when there is food time

Food is:

Bread
Milk
Potatos
Stake

+ Dessert is tasty Ice cream + hot chocolate sauce

While majority of kids is happy and enjoys that dessert
There is one whiny kid who cries, i dont want that dessert i want cold "porridge"

Tali is that ice cream and her voice is that chocolate sauce
Jack is that cold porridge

This is the main problem here, too bad that when its finaly brought up its overshadowed by silly fanboys arguing about who's favorite character is better.

Point is, if BioWare did intend Jack to be a squadmate, why replace her with Tali?. Why not just have BOTH in the squad. And why not make Miranda, Grunt etc squadmates?.

I don't get what there's to like about Tali. Her voice is annoying, she cries like a little girl, you never get to see her face so she's just an emotionless mask that can only make slump her head when she's sad (like a baby or a puppy, maybe that's why people are so easily provoked into sympathy for her). She's annoying as hell.

Worse yet, she takes Zaeed's spot on the team. Get out, Tali.
