Also, it's a shame because besides being interesting, badass and having a great personality Jack is right there with Shiala, Miranda and LotSB/ME3 Liara in beauty levels. She looks amazing here:

I've actually seen two diferent polls where Garrus is the 1st ranked LI choice, with Liara second and Tali 3rd in a slim margin.

Hence I said the "most liked straight female character" when I spoke about Tali. By the looks of it, some people don't fully understand what "straight female" means.

And I'm bored of Liara. If you don't like Tali, you can get her killed in ME2. There, problem solved. Even if you don't, by the time you get Tali in ME3 it's like 3 missions to finish the game and you're only forced to bring her in one. Big deal.

Can't say the same of Liara, who just keeps nagging and clinging to you no matter where you hide or how plainly you tell her that you're not interested in the most childish, feeble and ugliest asari of the galaxy.

Sure, would be awesome if Jack got more stuff, since Jack is actually an interesting character, and so are Miranda, Ashley, etc. But the screen time needs to be taken from the worthless blue b*tch, and not Tali, Garrus, or anyone else that are actually interesting beyond the size of their bra.

Well, at least you can revel in the fact that in ME2, which by far is the most fleshed out game of the three, you barely even have to speak to Liara for more than 10 minutes... Even shorter if you skip the conversation.

I don't hate Liara.

I find her an okay character, with her perks and her cons. The problem is that Mac Walters loves Liara, and he believes everyone will. And so, when it is "too much", only those that love Liara end up happy. The effect would be the same if there was as much Tali as there is Liara in ME3, the diference is that I'd be happy saying "There's never enough Tali" while the rest of the playerbase would hate Tali because they're fed up with having to put up with her even when they don't want to.

Sorry, I guess this gave me the wrong impression:

You know, I just read the OP again, and this was not a hate thread originally. It only became one because you Talimancers blew it out of proportion.

Why the "you Talimancers?"

Because this was never a hate thread. It never said "I HATE TALI." It simply stated "I personally find her to be uninteresting." And then in response the Talimancers lash out at other characters, and then it becomes one.

To be honest, I think many of a character´s more avid fans would lash out in defense for said character.
I know, I have lashed out a couple of times on Liara "hate" threads.

Tali third??? Huh, I can understand Garrus on the frist place, but I actually thought Tali would be on the second and then Liara.

I might have lashed out in Tali's defense in one of the Geth vs Quarians debates but that was probably because I was supporting the Quarians.

The general tendency for fan lashout is why I approve of appreciation threads than I want less of this and more of this threads.

It is the writer's fault for forcing upon us his writer's pet. You won't see anyone speaking like that about Ashley or Miranda, for example. Or at least, not nearly as often.

Liara is Mass Effect's Justin Bieber.

That statement about changing the ending because of the leak is blatantly false; I've read the script leak and it haf the sane ending, just in a much more vague form.

Original ending, confirmed by Karpyshyn, was about  the Mass Effect field technology destroying the universe by doing "something" to dark matter thus increasing the ageing of stars. Reapers were constantly looking (and failing) for a solution, so they leave thechnology behind in order to "force" organic species to use their own more "safe" mass effect fields technology for a time and then they "store" sentient species in Reaper form while "erasing" from the galaxy civilizations with Mass Effect fields technology thus limiting the damage done to the universe.

Shepard then had the chance of destroying the Reapers and let the species of the galaxy try to come with a solution, or let the Reapers continue the cycle.

Well, if they had used that ending the purpose of the reapers would actually have made alot more sense, than the whole "created will always rebel against creator" jab we received instead.

Lol, and you don't call that hate? What twisted world are you living in which calling someone a "worthless b*tch" isn't hate? Good god, I'm done responding to that insanity. Sounds like a domestic abuser.

I think you have problems understanding English...

I just said that the reason for we dislike Liara is not Liara herself, but the fact that the writer has us fed up with her.

You won't see anyone hating Jack, Miranda, or Ashley, or at least not nearly as many as Liara. Liara is an ok character. The way we have to deal with her even when we don't want to is not.

Just like I wouldn't care about Justin Bieber, I might even find entertaining one or two of his songs if the time is right. But being forced upon my ears, seeing his face in commercials and hearing the unending rambling and screaming of schoolgirls is what makes me dislike him.

I even gave you the comparison so you could piece it together.

I would have dropped Liara for Jack in a heartbeat.

When I was going through my first play-through, I did the Grissom station as soon as it was available. After beating it I was fully expecting Jack to join, and since Grissom Academy is early in the game I think she was the first ME2 character that I ran into.

So after the mission the first thing I did was go to Jack's basement dwelling, but she wasn't there. So I then thought well she is doing much better then she was in ME2 so maybe she has moved up in the world, or in this case the Normandy. So I then proceeded to search deck by deck, until I decided to check online.

It was then I found out that no ME2 squadmates join up. That was one of the most disappointing things in the game for me.

I'm fairly certain my comprehension of English is quite advanced. PM me if you want a rundown of my credentials.

Let me make this easy to understand:

1. You called Liara, not the writer, a "worthless blue b*tch."

2. You then proceeded to claim that you didn't hate her, while saying that your earlier comment was accurate and not just a rage-induced statement.

3. Now you are claiming that you only hate the writer, not her and that she is ok [sic].

See how points 1 and 3 don't really make any logical sense? Also, look at point 2 as well.

I am sorry, but that's as far as I am willing to explain it. If you understand English as much as you claim, you will cease to act like you don't get it.

If you truly don't get it, that's alright. God makes some people ugly, and some others dumb. It's not their fault in either case.

Adorable, no counter argument, just third grade level insults. Well, if I'm dumb, then I guess Mensa Society and a certain Ivy League college really appreciate morons. Strange world out there, I suppose.

And Bill Clinton and George Bush used to be Presidents of the most powerful country of the world with the most developped service of intelligence. Your point?

Besides, you know exactly what I'm talking about, but you seem to think it aids your case to pretend you don't. Suit yourself.

Considering he successfully produced a surplus in the budget and had very high favorability rates, I absolutely love being compared to him.

Wait, I take it you are a Christian fundamentalist conservative, judging based on your attacks on Clinton and your adorable piece of life advice in the previous post. That would explain why I can't seem to convey my message accurately.

Also, I'm done; redirect any hate mail at my inbox so I can promptly not read it.
