'2 teams' means nothing.
STRATEGY A: They invested a certain amount of cash into the game. If they had 2 teams then the cash would be distributed between them. So less green for SP
A few members of the original SP team would also work on the other project exclusively or do a bit of both.
OR
STRATEGY B: They might of realised they could make more money from MP's microtransactions and then invested extra money for MP, not taking anything away from SP
Most likely....they were not sure how much money would be made from MP in a SP game so they played it safe and did STRATEGY A. i mean how much extra money had been made in SP games with a MP add-on before ME3... (assassin's creed?, FIFA?, etc)
Maybe in the future MP won't eat into SP budget. But for ME3 its logical to assume that it did
i don't See how you figure and FIFA if my memory Serves is just a sport game.
their Are companies that did Two team Scenario's and i know EA and Bioware are one of them that Fairly pay's its employees despite the rep they have who knows every thing we know about Ea that we read on the websites could be a Lie and everything bioware and EA been telling us on their websites being the cold facts of the truth.
but as for your "Statement" about budget A thats not Entirely true Battlefield 3 for example Look how that Game turned out Game informer Gave that a 9.5 Due to Superb Multiplayer and SP Their are Allot of fans that actually Support the Dev Team on Mass effect 3 and what they did but their are some minor plotholes that they need to rectify Mostly Star child and Star gazer and the explanation of how your crew got on normandy while you wer opening the arms again ... but the point is Their Are companies that Do Release a crappy game at first then correct it while the one that didn't do so well gets worked on through extra DLC and Closure which is what Bioware is doing For All we know they could of changed the Ending and didn't want us to know the real one upon its released and some idiot released it and they removed the portion of what was (released) through press etc was changed so that the fans that don't want the ending changed "hence the positive feed back" those that didn't care and wanted the ending the wer promised "negative side" wanted what the press Said in their talk about mass effect that got their hopes and dreams up while the the positive side starts to flame at bioware because they chose the negative side over them in my opionion it could be any number of ways where as bioware had to make a few tough calls along their road of releasing it and the fact that this game i know will be best seller since it is a block buster Seller and i know that their are still copies of this game still being bought despite the negative Feed back the negative side is going for but SP needs to be changed a tad bit at the ending and to have the dreams explained a bit more to...
Also sorry for my english i tend to ramble allot and i'm also not good with English and punctions and all that crap...
Dudee (or lass) structure your reply in paragraphs or something
I see the point you are trying to make but you have missed my point. BW/EA is a business..they invest money based on expected returns.
ME3 MP is making money from micro-transactions..players pay real money to buy spectre packs. that builds up.
I mentioned FIFA because a lot of people play it online but there are either no micro transactions or there is little no point. are you going to pay to unlock better dribbling for messi? that would be silly. So no extra money is being made there.
Battlefield does not count because up to recently there were no micro transcations to profit from. And its main sell is its MP. SP is like 7 hrs.
Therefore there is not a precident on how much money a mainly SP game will make with a MP micro transactions. ME multiplayer was made to make money. You can tell this from the menu revolving around buying spectre packs.
Thus the decision to either split the initial ME3 investment between 2 teams...or to increase invest due to multiplayer is a difficult one. As there is not a precident I reached the conclusion they would be cautious and not spend extra money.
(Lass btw) as for that i understand now sorry for my mistake on not understanding your Comment and yes its true that MP is more investment than SP was for battlefield even the same Said for Cod tho their Charging people $50 a month so i understand their Dlc that they have you pay just for Extended dlc maps for certain game modes >_<
As for my comments yes i'll try that from now on thank you for giving me tips on that (any Sarcastic comments from Trolls including cruel ones will be ignored)
