So my party is now (me as DW rogue, Alistair as tank, Wynne as healer and Leliana as archer/bard). But i have thinking that should I change Leliana to Morrigan... What u think? I've just heard that Leliana with bow comes later game so lethal that she is propably best damage dealer on party.. And if Morrigan is better, pls give me tips for her build

I always use Morrigan in my party, aside from beings one of the few people that appreciates her personality I find that if you use her for damage it works out very well, I have never tried Leliana though so I cannot comment on that.

I tried to romance both but I got caught in bed tent with the witch of the west by leliana. At the end both left me and I ended marrying a cougar Queen, Oh well that what I get for trying to eat both pies with one bite.

I tend to play positive characters, so i always end up having Leilana for unlocking stuff and getting rid of traps. I just started a negative character where i plan to kill Wynn and use Morrigan as my healer, i still may have leilana so i can have the threesome with Zevran :P

If you are having CC issues (and your current party looks hard-pressed) I'd give up the single target archery damage and use Morrigan's CoC and FF potential.

If your PC is a FD or stealthed rogue, perhaps you're single pulling mobs and having no CC problems, but those set piece fights must be kinda hard, no?

Ah fair enough..

Although the damage they deal is directly proportional to the relationship you have with them so it's still relevent in that sence.

IMO you can't really compare them, because they're two entirely different characters that bring two entirely different skill sets.

Leliana will get you into locked chests and doors, and she's also a good multi-purpose fighter, switching fairly seamlessly between ranged and melee combat.

Morrigan is a walking WMD.

And I usually have BOTH in my party.

Normally I have both. It's a tremendous pain to come tromping back with Leliana to open those damn chests. So if you have to decide between one I'd got with her.

if you are a rogue, I do go with Morrigan.

You can have decent companion in both of them, it all depends on your playstyle and what you feel is lacking in your party.

Maybe you could try few fights with one and then switch and reload and see how you like the other. I personally switch them very often depending what part I play and what I am going to need more. My Morrigan is almost pure CC.

I play all female team, so I have both of them, but they can also be developed differently depending on your point allocation and strategy. It really depends on how you want to play rather than anything general or universal about the characters, especially since both of them join early in the game (meaning you'll have plenty of time to develop them).

I tend to keep both in the party. Leliana can open locks/disarm traps. Morrigan is more versatile in pretty much every other way and definitely has more damage potential, though most mage focused damage options require significant micromanagement to maximize the effect without wiping out the rest of your party with friendly fire.

I find the banter from both to be amusing. Personally, I respec Morrigan as a spirit healer/blood mage. Leliana pretty much always winds up a bard/assassin for me singing either song of valor if I have 2 mages or song of courage if I only have 1.  (I think my head would explode if I tried to micromanage 3 mages).

The bigger decision for me is generally whether to use Allistair or Shale as tank. I want my 6 person BG party limit back...

I think its lot of fun. I played 3 mages party in 2 full games and I loved it.

I used both. Leli's archery and lockpicking helps. Morrigan is a damage machine but since you are a rogue already I'd go Morrigan. The dual mage setup really works out best in terms of combat and survivability.

Khumak,

I agree. There's a number of fights where I felt that one or two more bodies could make the difference between hard and tear-your-hair-out frustrating.
