Will we ever hear from Mac Walters or Casey Hudson?

I really am getting tired of waiting on their response to all of this. They haven't answered for anything that they have done. I feel totally ignored not being able to talk to these guys about the ending they gave us.

Casey Hudson, you specifically told us that we would see all of our choices come to fruition in this game. You told us that we would see 16 wildly different endings. You told us all of these awesome things about how the conclusion would tie everything together in a satisfying way. Instead, we have heard from Patrick Weekes himself that you and Mac Walters did not take any input from the writing team when you "crafted' the conclusion to this game. When will you answer for yourself?

Mac Walters, you specifically promised that we would not get an "A, B, C" ending because that was contrary to everthing that Mass Effect stood for. So why did we get an "A, B, C" ending anyways? How can you make such blatant lies and get away with it? I understand that you stepped in to the lead spot for Drew Karypyshyn at the end of the trilogy. This was the biggest mistake BioWare could have ever made for this trilogy. You never change lead writers before you finish a trilogy. You should have at least consulted with the man who created most of the freaking universe.

When will we hear from these two? I understand that everything they say is expected to create a massive flame fest on these forums. So why not just say something that isn't ridiculous? Why do you have to keep harping on the "artistic integrity"? Why do you have to keep ignoring us? What kind of business is BioWare even running?

If BioWare cared at all about what the fans think they would have these two talk to us civilly and explain what they were going for with the ending we got. Instead, as it is, what are we to believe? That they will be in charge of the Extended Cut

I don't want to touch anything written by Mac Walters or Casey Hudson ever again. So regardless of what we get in the Extended Cut, these two have to have a much more limited role than ever before. They are simply not what the fans want out of this universe. They just don't get it like we do. Drew Karpyshyn got it - there is a reason we love the two games that he was lead writer for.

Drew Karpyshyn didn't lock out the writing team. Drew Karpyshyn didn't have terrible ideas. At least his version of the ending of Mass Effect 3 was foreshadowed heavily and had an actually somewhat interesting choice. Most of all, it didn't have space magic or supernatural forces involved.

Please, BioWare, stop making us wait on this. We want - nay, we deserve - something! Are they ever going to apologize for what they did? Or even acknowledge that the fans aren't happy with them? ANYTHING?

EDIT:
We shouldn't have to wait for the Extended Cut to hear why they lied to us about the game that was shipped on release day!

Ladies and Gentlemen. Get out your popcorn tubs. Prepare for the arrival. Of drama.

Will start off by saying I think Bioware could have handled this all a LOT better. That goes without saying. But save your fury for after the extended cut, no matter how hard it is.

If you ask politely, and separately from EA breathing down everyone's neck to prevent more damage, sure.

If im mac walters or casey hudson, i'm not going to subject myself to the torments of the internet. Let the masses speculate amongst themselves for months until we are ready. Better that than try to come here answer a few questions and re-ignite the mob.

1.Find where either one lives.
2.Stalk them till they go to a bar.
3.Buy them a drink.
4.Get him drunk enough to talk about the ending.

See there you go.

This. If even then.
Also, why would they say anything? They'd be torn apart regardless of what was said.

The logical thing to believe is that they are writing the Extended Cut like they wrote the original ending, though. And we all know how that turned out. Are they directing this, as well? Why should I trust that it will be any good if I don't hear anything from them? Even the most basic defense of what they were going for?

Agreed, I think we'll hear from them as EC gets closer.   I just hope the EC works out...  I really want to love ME3.

Maybe not torn apart but most likely not believed people will look at what they say and automatically think it is a lie or some PR hype.

I must say that I do agree.

Considering that they both lied through their teeth and hyped this game up to astronomical levels, I doubt they would say anything further regarding this game. They will probably say something in 2014 snide regarding this whole debacle when the whole thing fizzles out, but probably not now. Not while the heat is still high and people are very angry.

Why should they say anything? They got our money and ran. They're chilling on a beach somewhere in Costa Rica enjoying some brandy. Or some Conti Grand Cru wine. Image IPB

No.
The game was released two months ago. Having to wait for answers to the ending is bull****.

Never. ME3 is sold well initially and I think it is still doing well. As long as it makes money they have no reason to admit any wrongdoing because they aren't wrong if they are successful. On the Dragon Age 2 forums, I called out David Gaider for having the whole Mage vs Templar choice and then making 99% of the mages in the game a clear and present danger to themselves and everyone around (and more than likely straight up evil). Gaider basically told me to ****** off. Like a month or two ago when it was clear DA2 was less than successful I saw an interview in which Gaider actually acknowledged that they realized that there were not many good mages in the game and they probably should not have done that. Gaider would have never admitted that if DA2 had been some huge money maker like say ME3.

If I were Casey or Mac I wouldn't touch this form (or any ME forum) with a ten foot pole until the EC comes out. Why? Because regardless of my intentions, I would be eaten alive and end up feeling horrible about myself.

It has nothing to do with PR or cowardice (as far as I can tell, mixed with some educated guessing). It is a simple fact that after someone works 2.5 years on something as hard as they have, they don't want to go online and basically have people rip them a new one, laying 100% of the blame of the ending on them (regardless of whether it's deserved or not).

And I support that decision, because regardless of whether or not the ending is their 'fault,' they don't deserve the abuse they've been getting from fans, and the extra abuse they would get if they were to appear on the forums and actually attempt to have a discussion.

Just to clarify, Casey said we wouldn't get a A, B, or C ending, not Mac. Mac told us the ending wouldn't be magic in space

I didn't deserve losing $70 based on lies. I feel bad that they feel bad, but they still downright lied to millions of people and ran off with their money.

I believe the saying "if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" applies here.

This.  Interacting with your community on the internet is generally a mistake, because most of your community are human, and are thus only capable of being jerks on the internet.
